Ronnie Dunn leaves Brooks & Dunn concert mid-encore, sparking fan concern over health

Express Tribune07-04-2025
Ronnie Dunn, one half of iconic country duo Brooks & Dunn, raised alarm among fans after walking off stage during an encore at the band's April 3, 2025, performance at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
The 71-year-old singer exited the stage while the group was performing their classic hit 'Boot Scootin' Boogie.'
A viral TikTok video posted by radio personality Matt Malone captured the moment Dunn told the crowd, 'Sing it if you know it,' before signaling to his band to stop playing. He then waved to fans and quietly exited the stage. 'Feel better, Ronnie!!! Thanks for giving us all you could!!' Malone captioned the post.
Fans quickly took to social media expressing concern, with some noting Dunn's apparent struggle throughout the concert. One concertgoer said Dunn had mentioned difficulty breathing earlier in the night, while another recalled the singer sharing in Texas last month that he was recovering from COVID and strep throat.
Despite the health scare, a spokesperson for Brooks & Dunn confirmed to Us Weekly on April 7 that Dunn had been sick but noted the tour continued as scheduled. The band played their next show at Allstate Arena near Chicago on April 5.
Brooks & Dunn, formed in 1988, are known for chart-topping country hits like 'Neon Moon,' 'Brand New Man,' and 'My Maria.' The duo reunited in 2015 after a hiatus and released Reboot II in November 2024, featuring collaborations with Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, and Megan Moroney.
Fans continue to send well-wishes to Dunn as the Reboot Tour rolls on.

Justin Timberlake's tour falling apart in real time

Justin Timberlake is under fire after a series of live performances on his latest tour left fans disappointed, confused, and even concerned. A viral video from a Paris show triggered the wave of criticism, with viewers accusing the pop star of barely participating in his own concert. In the clip, Timberlake can be seen standing almost motionless while the crowd sings most of the lyrics. Social media erupted, with Reddit threads and TikTok comments mocking the singer's apparent detachment. One user quipped, 'This performance could have been an email,' while another compared it to Airbnb: 'You pay a cleaning fee and still do the cleaning, same here, you buy a ticket and do the singing.' Critics labelled the tour the 'Justin Timberlake karaoke experience,' suggesting his backup singers were carrying the show. Others questioned whether he was even singing live at all, with comments noting the microphone was often on the floor or appeared to be off entirely. What started as jokes has escalated into speculation about Timberlake's health. Some users questioned whether he might be on vocal rest or dealing with undisclosed medical issues. One fan urged honesty, saying, 'If he can't perform, he should cancel the tour, this is manipulative.' Fans who have followed Timberlake since the early 2000s expressed heartbreak over the change. 'In 2014, he was electric on stage. Now it feels like he's just fulfilling a contract. The spark is gone,' one longtime fan wrote. Even casual observers seemed alarmed, with some admitting they were 'genuinely worried.' Despite a lone defence that crowd sing-alongs are common, the consensus online is clear: these performances feel empty, staged, and insincere. Timberlake has yet to respond publicly, but the backlash continues to mount, and so do questions about whether he's up to the demands of this tour.
