But on this occasion, Sky Q has had a slight upper hand for sometime now.
Sky Glass and Sky Stream - which rely on a broadband connection to beam channels into homes instead of a satellite dish - can finally access the Premier Sports channels.
Although Sky Q customers have Premier Sports 1 and Premier Sports 2, there's some extras for them too, as they can watch the dedicated LALIGA channel and the new Premier Sports Rugby channel going forward.
But you won't find the channels on the usual TV guide.
Instead, it's all available via the Premier Sports app which has just launched across all three platforms.
Premier Sports is home to a number of competitions, including:
LALIGA
UEFA 2024 Qualifiers & International Friendlies
20 Scottish Premier League games
The Scottish Cup and Premier Sports Cup
Coppa Italia and DFB Pokal (live games from every round)
The Investec Champions Cup
United Rugby Championship game for the 2024-25 season
TOP 14 (up to 4 games per round) and Playoff coverage
The NHL (500 games, 15 games a week)
IIHF World Championships
NASCAR Monster Energy series (all 38 races)
And it's just in time for some big finals.
The ECPR Challenge Cup Final is today and on Saturday there's the nvestec Champions Cup Final and Scottish Cup Final.
Of course, Premier Sports is a premium service so you'll have to pay extra to watch.
Sky Offers Free Movie Gift and More
You can pay £99 for a year upfront or commit to a 12 month contract at £11.99 a month.
Alternatively, you can pay a rolling monthly contract of £15.99.
It's also important to point out that you don't need a Sky Sports subscription to watch Premier Sports.
The Premier Sports app should appear on the apps rail of your TV or box.

The broadcaster routinely makes changes to its channel line-up, particularly to reflect seasonal sports coverage or temporary promotions. Earlier this year, Sky Fantasy was reverted back to Sky Family (Satellite 306/850 – Sky Glass/Stream 306) after a seasonal rebrand. Sky Hits HD (Satellite 303 – Sky Glass/Stream 303) was renamed Sky Originals HD, and Sky Superheroes (Satellite 302 – Sky Glass/Stream 302) switched to Sky 5* Movies HD. In previous reshuffles, several fan favourites have also disappeared completely. Eurosport channels were removed as their content merged with TNT Sports. Pop Max, a children's channel, and Sky History +1 have also been axed. Fans were left disappointed when ITVBe was dropped in June, although many of its popular reality shows have since moved to a new home. Virgin Media recently axed several of its legacy music and entertainment channels as it prioritises on-demand content. Fans say 'you can't pretend it isn't rigged' as Carabao Cup draw hands out play-off final repeat Customers were surprised when Virgin's Comedy Central Extra and MTV Base were quietly removed from the line-up. Freeview has also caused frustration after dropping BBC News HD in some regions, and reducing coverage of channels like Forces TV and PBS America. ITV made waves when it merged its standalone channels like CITV into its new streaming service ITVX, effectively removing the long-standing kids' channel from live schedules. Viewers are now being urged to recheck their guides to avoid missing any major sporting events or live matches. More channel closures 'inevitable' An industry expert told The Sun that more channel closures are likely in 2025 and beyond. "This is inevitable, more broadcasters will cull broadcast/linear TV channels as viewers are flocking to streaming services," Paolo Pescatore from PP Foresight said. "The big TV switch off is around the corner, with all programming set to be delivered via the internet. "Viewers are now spoilt for choice with how and where they watch the TV shows they love across a range of connected devices. "To respond, broadcasters need to be prepared and work more closely with telecom providers to ensure a seamless experience for users." Image credit: Getty

Hearts summer signing names Jambos ace he thinks is 'unbelievable'

The Hearts recruit found out in New York just how big the club he's signed for truly is. Sign up to our Hearts newsletter Sign up Thank you for signing up! A New York moment sparked a realisation over Hearts - and he's been left impressed by the quality inside his new dressing room. Oisin McEntee is one of several new signings under head coach Derek McInnes this summer. He comes in from Walsall with previous experience in the SPFL at Greenock Morton, with the ability to play right back, centre back and in midfield areas, getting competitive minutes under his belt on Premier Sports Cup group stage duty. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Now all attentions turn to the Premiership opener against Aberdeen after a strong friendly win over Premier League side Sunderland in Craig Gordon's testimonial. McEntee was off to the Big Apple soon after signing for Hearts, and there he discovered the Gorgie appeal is global, as he opened up on pre season under McInnes. New Hearts signing on Jambos appeal He said: 'So I signed with Hearts and then flew out to see my sister in New York and I bumped into a Hearts fan straight away. I realised what a big club it is straight away, that you're meeting fans in New York. "It's probably been my hardest pre-season in terms of double sessions and stuff like that but I think you need that going into the Scottish Premier League season, you need to be fit, you need to be strong and I feel really good for it, my body feels really good. "I think a lot of work goes into it on the training ground. The fitness as well, it's obviously a high intensity, it's going to be quite a lot of work. Paying dividends when it comes to the games, it feels a lot easier than other pre-seasons in terms of when you go into the game you feel ready, you feel at it, so it's been really enjoyable." Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Hearts trio land stirring compliments McEntee was unleashed in midfield, a role he prefers, when coming up against Sunderland. He loved working alongside Cammy Devlin who he rates highly, while summer signing duo Claudio Braga and Alexandros Kyziridis are another two labelled under the same emphatic verdict. He said: 'I think that's kind of my game when I'm in the middle and I really enjoy that side of the game, the nasty side of the game, winning second balls and first balls and stuff and just doing my job for the team. It's been enjoyable, wherever the gaffer wants me to play, I'll play, I don't mind. That would be my preferred position. Cammy's an unbelievable player and it shows how many games he's played at this club and he's played at this level for a long time, so it's enjoyable having him in there backing me up. 'You don't want teams to enjoy playing against you and I feel like we have the players in the team that have that bit of quality and we have a good mix of players that want to be competitive and win the ball back to let the players go and express themselves. Those two boys can mix it too, winning the ball back and the look of Braga, he's physical, he's winning the ball back but he has that bit of class too but they've been unbelievable since they came in. "I think it's a testament to the recruitment and bringing good people in first and foremost. We obviously went out to Spain and everyone gelled really well with team activities and stuff like that and training all the time, that just comes naturally but it's been a really enjoyable pre-season just getting to know new people and there's a lot of new boys. Everyone's gelled together nicely."
