Deion Sanders made 'Porta Potty' jokes after revealing pee struggles

Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders recently made several urine-related jokes, and Sanders might have just put a Porta Potty-sized target (pun fully intended) on Colorado's sideline this fall. During a press conference with his medical team on Monday, the former NFL sensation revealed that he had his bladder removed following a cancerous tumor diagnosis. The medical professionals who treated Sanders say he is now cancer-free. While great news, that's still pretty devastating given everything the Colorado coach has been through with his health the last several years, including having toes amputated. MORE COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Mizzou's Eli Drinkwitz is college football's Tobias Fünke What's more, without a bladder, people might wonder how Sanders will, uh, do his business. Not to worry. He answered that question during his presser as only he can ― with pee jokes. Yep, good ole' Deion Sanders fired up the urine zingers, and they did not miss. "Now, I depend on Depends," he quipped. But, he wasn't done as he chimed in with more."It is real. So if you see a Porta Potty on the sidelines, it's real." The jokes were pretty good, we must admit, but there was a reason he was trying to make light of a very clearly serious situation. "I know it's a lot of people out there going through what I'm going through and dealing with what I'm dealing with," Sanders said. "Let's stop being ashamed of it, and let's deal with it. And let's deal with it head-on." Wishing the best for Deion Sanders as he continues his healing journey. NFLPA selects David White as interim executive director

The NFL Players Association took a bit of time but, with teams at training camps, moved to fill its leadership void from outside the union. Player representatives voted Sunday night to appoint David P. White the NFLPA's interim executive director. The election of White, the other finalist when the union elected Lloyd Howell in 2023, came 17 days after Howell's resignation a little more than two years into his term as executive director.

NFL Veteran Rushed To Hospital After 'Illegal' Tackle At Practice Sunday

NFL Veteran Rushed To Hospital After 'Illegal' Tackle At Practice Sunday originally appeared on The Spun. A veteran member of the Colts backfield reportedly suffered a severe lower leg injury during Sunday's training camp practice after being taken down by an illegal hip-drop tackle during a live session. According to Stephen Holder of running back Salvon Ahmed was immediately taken to the hospital for X-rays after grabbing at his ankle in serious pain. Per the Colts beat reporter, Ahmed's ankle "was stuck in an awkward position" after being tackled from behind by undrafted free agent Trey Washington at the goal line and players immediately gathered around said a prayer for their teammate. The 26-year-old was then placed onto a stretcher and carted off the field. Head coach Shane Steichen talked about the situation during today's media session and explained how hard it can be to simultaneously manage injuries while also attempting to build a physical football team that's ready for the regular season. "Never want to see that happen," Steichen said. "I know we don't encourage hip-drop tackles. I know Trey's down in the dumps, and I don't think he's trying to do that. We're just trying to create an edge. ... Those [backups] are going to have to tackle come preseason." "I think training camp is where you want to create the edge and the toughness and the identity of your football team, so you have live periods," the coach explained. "There's a lot of thoughts going on in my head during that situation. I talked to some of the leaders on the team. We wanted to get that last 2-minute situation in. Felt that we needed that. They were on board with that." Ahmed also went undrafted out of Washington but caught on with the Miami Dolphins for four seasons before coming to Indy where he signed as a FA earlier this year. We certainly send our best to Ahmed and his family and hope he comes back stronger than Veteran Rushed To Hospital After 'Illegal' Tackle At Practice Sunday first appeared on The Spun on Aug 3, 2025 This story was originally reported by The Spun on Aug 3, 2025, where it first appeared.
