MARKET PULSE PM JUNE 24, 2025 [WATCH]
Bursa Malaysia ended lower on Tuesday as investors remained cautious amid escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, following US strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.
The benchmark index dipped 2.32 points to close at 1,514.
Among the most actively traded stocks were Tanco Holdings, Reservoir Link Energy, and NexG.
Meanwhile, the ringgit strengthened against the US dollar, closing at 4.2460.
In the cryptocurrency space, Bitcoin is currently trading at RM448,645, Ethereum at RM10,252 and Solana at RM615.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 30 (Bernama) -- UEM Sunrise Bhd has completed the issuance of Islamic medium-term notes (IMTNs) worth RM500 million under its existing IMTN programme. In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, UEM Sunrise said the programme, together with the company's existing Islamic commercial papers programme, has a combined aggregate limit of up to RM4 billion and is structured based on the shariah principle of murabahah via tawarruq arrangement. The property developer said the new IMTNs were issued in two tranches, comprising RM200 million with a tenure of 10 years maturing on July 30, 2035 and RM300 million with a tenure of 12 years maturing on July 30, 2037.

KUALA LUMPUR: News on stock, crypto and ringgit moves. Bursa Malaysia ended the day on a positive note, buoyed by a wave of late buying interest, with the benchmark index settling at 1,524 points. Among the components of the index, petrochemical and telecommunications stocks emerged as the top gainers, whereas banking counters lagged behind, weighed down by the growing divergence in global monetary policies. As for the local currency, the ringgit extended its weakening trend against the US dollar, closing at 4.2350. KUALA LUMPUR: UEM Sunrise Bhd has completed the issuance of Islamic medium-term notes (IMTNs) worth RM500 million under its existing IMTN programme. In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, UEM Sunrise said the programme, together with the company's existing Islamic commercial papers programme, has a combined aggregate limit of up to RM4 billion and is structured based on the shariah principle of murabahah via tawarruq arrangement. The property developer said the new IMTNs were issued in two tranches, comprising RM200 million with a tenure of 10 years maturing on July 30, 2035 and RM300 million with a tenure of 12 years maturing on July 30, 2037. It added that the proceeds raised from the new IMTNs will be used for the company and its subsidiaries' shariah-compliant general corporate purposes, including landbank and company acquisitions, investments; project development and infrastructure cost; capital and general expenditures, as well as refinancing of Islamic financing or outstanding loan facilities.
