CHELSEA are nearing completion on a deal that would see Premier League flop Joao Felix join Saudi club Al Nassr.
The Portuguese seemed to be on the verge of returning to his boyhood club Benfica before the middle-eastern outfit stepped into the ring.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano says a deal is at its final stages as the clubs near agreement on a fee reportedly in the region of £40million.
Felix, 25, has already given his approval of the project and his personal terms.
Al Nassr's offer is reported to be a five-year contract with an annual salary of £22million, or £420,000 a week.
This salary, by comparison, would make him the second-highest earner in the Premier League behind Erling Haaland's £500,000 weekly wage.

His wage would even equate to £20,000 per-week more than Mohamed Salah's new Liverpool contract.
Should the move go through, he would be reunited with his Portuguese national team colleague Cristiano Ronaldo.
Joao Felix was the subject of the fourth most expensive transfer ever when he made the move from Benfica to Atletico Madrid as a teenager in 2019.
After a falling out with the management in Madrid, Felix had loan spells with Chelsea and Barcelona before the Blues made a £42million gamble on him last summer.

Between his two stints at the club, Felix has made 40 total appearances for the Blues, scoring 11 goals.
Chelsea were at a loss with Joao Felix this window after a disastrous loan spell in Milan last season.

Jorrel Hato asked to be left out of Ajax's squad to face Como 1907 this weekend after agreeing personal terms with Chelsea, according to reports in the Netherlands. Chelsea have splashed the cash across another busy transfer window, sealing deals for Jamie Gittens, Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Dario Essugo and Mamadou Sarr for a combined fee of around £190million. Despite already strengthening at the back with the addition of Sarr from Strasbourg, the Blues have set their sights on making Hato, 19, their next signing and talks with the full-back's camp have been advancing at a pace in recent days. Hato, who is comfortable operating at both left-back and centre-back, has welcomed the interest from Chelsea and the versatile Dutchman is said to be actively pushing to force through a transfer to Stamford Bridge. But while Hato has informed Ajax that he wants to leave, the Eredivisie outfit rejected Chelsea's opening bid and sent a counter offer back to west London for the teenager. With talks ongoing, Algemeen Dagblad report that Hato told Ajax head coach John Heitinga that he would 'rather not play' in the side's Como Cup final defeat to Como on Sunday. It's claimed this is 'entirely related' to his potential move to Chelsea, though 'that doesn't say anything about the status of negotiations, which are currently difficult'. Hato was also absent for Ajax's semi-final win over Celtic earlier in the week. However, Heitinga insisted this was because the defender was yet to gain full match fitness having only recently returned to training. Ajax are said to be holding out for a fee of between €55-60million (£48-52.5m) for Hato, who still has three years remaining on his current contract in Amsterdam. Speaking to De Telegraaf on Wednesday, Hato's agent, Humphry Nijman confirmed that Chelsea had opened discussions to close a deal for last term's Eredivisie Talent of the Season. 'Yes, the club [Chelsea] have contacted Ajax,' he told the Dutch newspaper. Hato featured 50 times for Ajax across the 2024/25 campaign and played a key role as the club narrowly missed out on the Eredivisie title after finishing just one point behind PSV Eindhoven. In an interview with Ajax's official website last month, Hato outlined the goals and ambitions he hoped to fulfil in his career. At the time, the Netherlands international was keen to stress that he felt at 'home' at Ajax. 'The smartest thing is to look ahead to pre-season, that's what I do,' Hato said. 'Of course you want to achieve things in the end: the Champions League, a World Cup and a European Championship, I still have plenty of time. I don't think I absolutely have to win the Champions League in two years. 'In the Dutch league, you have to show how good you are against the big clubs. Ultimately, I have to continue to develop the things I am already good at, so that it becomes top. 'How do I describe my time at Ajax? Ajax is home for me. I just feel at home here.' The Irishman shone in an all action display as Sunderland were swatted aside at Tynecastle ahead of Aberdeen Premiership opener Oisin McEntee reckons teams will hate facing Hearts after new boss Derek McInnes put the players through a gruelling pre-season. The Jambos are in good shape going into their Premiership opener against Aberdeen a week tonight after building on four League Cup group wins with a 3-0 victory over Sunderland on Saturday. The Black Cats have spent in excess of £100million to get ready for their Premier League return. But that financial gulf did not matter as the McInnes ' men gave them a torrid time at Tynecastle with their high-pressing game. That style of play demands fit players and McEntee insists that will not be an issue after coming through his hardest pre-season. The 24-year-old said: 'You don't want teams to enjoy playing against you and we have players in the team who have that bit of quality. 'We have a good mix of players who want to be competitive and win the ball back to let the players go and express themselves. 'A lot of work goes into it on the training ground in terms of that style and it's about fitness as well. 'It's high intensity, it is going to be quite a lot of work. 'But it's paying dividends when it comes to the games. It feels a lot easier than other pre-seasons, in terms of when you go into the game you feel ready, you feel at it. 'It's been really enjoyable. It's probably been my hardest pre-season in terms of double sessions but you need that going into the Premiership season. 'You need to be fit, you need to be strong. I feel really good for it, my body feels really good.' As a midfield enforcer who came in from League Two Walsall at the start of this summer, he's loving the demands put on him by McInnes. McEntee said: 'That's my kind of game when I'm in the middle and I really enjoy that side, the nasty side of it – winning second balls, first balls and just doing my job for the team. 'It's been enjoyable. Wherever the gaffer wants me to play, I'll play – I don't mind. Playing alongside Cammy Devlin in there is great too. 'He's an unbelievable player and it shows with how many games he's played at this club. He's played at this level for a long time, so it's enjoyable having him in there backing me up.' At the top end of the park, Hearts have players who can add some flair in fellow summer signings turned crowd pleasers Claudio Braga and Alexandros Kyziridis. McEntee added: 'Those two boys can mix it too, winning the ball back. 'The look of Braga, he's physical, he's winning the ball back on Saturday but has that bit of class too. They've been unbelievable since they came in.' Hearts did not look back after taking the lead in Craig Gordon's testimonial courtesy of Braga 11 minutes in. McInnes has added seven recruits this summer and Burkina Faso winger Pierre Landry Kabore is expected to complete his move today.
