Sean 'Diddy' Combs' lawyer has 'no idea' about Donald Trump pardon speculation
It was reported by Deadline earlier this week that the White House chief is "seriously considering" issuing a full presidential pardon to the disgraced star - who was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution last month and could face up to 20 years in prison.
Agnifilo told Variety: "I am not involved in that in the least. I have literally no idea. There are times I think there's nothing to it, and there are times I think it's just rumour mill stuff. But, I do not purport to know the President's mind. I really don't know."
The lawyer insists that a pardon isn't part of his legal strategy in the case.
He said: "My end of the business is very focused on the case alone - and the merit of the case and what happened in the courtroom. I don't do anything else."
Agnifilo filed a motion earlier this week calling for Diddy's conviction on the two counts to be overturned as he doesn't feel that that 55-year-old rapper - who was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges in his trial - has violated the Mann Act.
He said: "Sean Combs has basically been convicted for using the services of a sex worker, and that's just not really prosecuted anymore. The Mann Act is not supposed to be applied to the user of prostitution services... It's supposed to be used for people who make money from the business of prostitution."
The lawyer continued: "We've now had the time to review hundreds of Mann Act cases over several decades, and so our letter we submitted this week is based on all of that work, which hadn't been done during the trial because there's just no reason to do it.
"The trial is about guilt or innocence, not about how the Mann Act applies historically."
Diddy has been imprisoned at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since his arrest last September and Agnifilo says that the star is missing his seven children as he awaits his sentencing on October 3.
The legal representative said: "He misses his kids. He's learned a lot. His time in jail - nearly 11 months now - has given him the ability to reflect and consider his life and look at all the blessings he's been given: his seven children, the fact that he's still close with the mothers of his children, the life he's been given.
"His view is: 'Have I lived up to the blessings I've been given?' And I think his conclusion is: 'Not in every aspect have I lived up to those blessings.'
"What he wants to do when he gets out is to start small. He wants to spend time with his children and get reacquainted with his old life."
Agnifilo claims that the I'll Be Missing You hitmaker "hasn't been outside" since his imprisonment.
The lawyer said: "He hasn't been outside since September. He hasn't had sun on his skin. It's like a sort of sensory deprivation. The light's always the same, it's artificial light, there's no breeze, there's no wind, there's very little change in temperature. So, he wants to get out and be with his family."

Lady Gaga pens new song, Dead Dance, for Wednesday season two
Lady Gaga has penned the new song, Dead Dance, for season two of Wednesday and will drop a theatrical music video to boot. The Abracadabra hitmaker is confirmed to guest star as Rosaline Rotwood, an iconic Nevermore Academy teacher whose mysterious past entwines with Jenna Ortega's Wednesday Addams. In true Gaga fashion, she's not showing up empty-handed. The singer-songwriter has recorded a brand-new track, slated to drop alongside her appearance, according to Variety. Co-written with her Mayhem collaborators Andrew Watt and Cirkut, the single is expected to arrive next month with a suitably twisted video release. Fuelling speculation around Gaga's role, she and Wednesday director Tim Burton were recently spotted filming on Mexico's infamous Island of the Dolls — a creepy locale littered with disfigured dolls and ghostly lore. Burton praised Gaga: 'She's such an artist… working with her is endlessly inspiring.' Gaga was notably absent from the London premiere last week due to her ongoing MAYHEM BALL tour. The Netflix series returns in two parts, premiering August 6 and September 3. Gaga told Entertainment Weekly magazine of her role earlier this year: 'I don't want to give away anything about being part of the show. "I want to keep it extra secret - but I love Jenna and I really had an amazing time!' Her cameo in season two comes after the viral dance from the show set to Gaga's 2011 hit Bloody Mary.

Liam Neeson lashes out at tardy actors
Liam Neeson has hit out at actors who are late to set. The 73-year-old actor revealed he has heard 'disturbing stories' about stars who show up late for filming and insisted he would 'never work with those people'. He told Rolling Stone magazine: 'That's very important. I hear disturbing stories about actors and actresses who are very gifted, but show up on the set two, three, four hours late. I would never work with those people. I think it's so insulting. You have a crew of like 60, 70, 80 people waiting for you. The very least you can do is give them the respect by turning up on time.' Meanwhile, Liam has pivoted to comedy with his new movie Naked Gun and admitted he thinks his action hero days are now behind him. He told Variety: 'The first Taken was 18 years ago, I was 54. Feels like a lifetime ago. I still get offered the occasional one. But I'm 73, for f***'s sake. I don't want to insult audiences if they're watching whole fight scenes and it's not me. I just wouldn't do it. Up until recently, I liked doing my own fight stuff. But I don't want to be doing that stuff with a Zimmer frame or walking stick. Sure, there might be another one out there, but nothing definite on the horizon.' However, there is one genre of movie he will never do. He said: 'I'm a big believer in writers and the script. That's the foundation stone, no matter what the genre. Except horror. I won't do horror.'

Sean 'Diddy' Combs denied bail
Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been denied bail for a fifth time. The disgraced music mogul has been held at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center in New York since he was arrested in September 2024 on sex trafficking charges and after his legal team requested he be released until he is sentenced for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution on 3 October, the judge has ruled he still poses a risk of "flight or danger". In documents obtained by People magazine, Judge Arun Subramanian wrote that the court must "Find by clear and convincing evidence that the person is not likely to flee or pose a danger to the safety of any other person or the community if released," but declared Combs posed a risk of "flight or danger." The judge insisted there would have to be "exceptional reasons" to warrant release, such as it being undisputed the defendant had no risk of flight or danger, or where "unique circumstances" including advanced age or "serious medical conditions" were involved. He ultimately ruled the Bad Boy Records founder "fails to satisfy his burden to demonstrate an entitlement to release." The ruling was made despite the 55-year-old star's ex-girlfriend, Virginia 'Gina' Huynh - who identified herself as "victim number three" from the rapper's trial - wrote a letter in support of his bail application. She wrote: "I am writing because I do not view Mr. Combs as a danger to me or to the community. "This is his first criminal case. Throughout the investigation and proceedings he has been cooperative, respectful and compliant. He has substantial ties to his family and community, including children who depend on him for emotional and financial support. "Granting him bond would allow him to continue caring for his family and fulfilling his responsibilities while still subject to the Court's supervision.' Virginia believes Diddy has become a "better person" in recent years. She went on to add: "Our relationship, like many, was not always perfect, we experienced ups and downs, and mistakes were made but he was willing to acknowledge his mistakes and make better decisions in the future. "Over the years that followed he made visible efforts to become a better person and to address the harm he had caused. By the time our relationship ended, he embodied an energy of love, patience and gentleness that was markedly different from his past behavior. "To my knowledge, he has not been violent for many years, and he has been committed to being a father first.' Combs' lawyers had asked for him to be released on a $50 million bond. The I'll Be Missing You hitmaker - who was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges - faces up to 20 years in prison.
