Callum Wilson confirms when he'll be joining next club after leaving Newcastle

Callum Wilson has returned from a punditry stint at the Club World Cup weighing up a number of offers from clubs and he will decide which option is best after a personal training camp Callum Wilson says he is weighing up a number of offers before deciding his next club. And the striker, 33, who left Newcastle last month, is jetting off for an individual training camp before making up his mind as he aims to continue his career 'for a few more years.' Wilson has been working as a pundit for DAZN at the Club World Cup while weighing up offers and said: 'I don't want to leave it too long before making a decision. 'I've continued to keep myself fit during the off season and it's now confirmed that I will be joining a new club at some point. I want to go in there hitting the ground running so I'm going into a fitness camp abroad and then I'll get up my sharpness. Then I'll make a decision and when I'm back in the UK I'll be joining the new team.' Wilson, who has been previously linked with Everton and Leeds, said he has drawn a line under his five-year spell at St James' Park and speaks glowingly of manager Eddie Howe. But officially leaving on June 30 has offered him clarity following a troubled spell with injuries as he struggled to displace top scorer Alexander Isak. 'I feel strong and I feel in a good place mentally,' he added. 'I'm content in terms of the situation now. I know I've left Newcastle, so that's kind of one less decision I need to make going forward.' During his time in the US, "dipping his toe" into punditry as he explores what to do when he hangs up his boots, Wilson found it hard to get quality training in because of the brutal heat in built-up cities- but he also went to great lengths to keep fit. "My body clock was still on UK time for a while so I was waking up and going to bed at all sorts of hours so one night I was on the rowing machined at 2:30am." ‘I was really dizzy': Enzo Fernández reveals scare in heat of Club World Cup

Enzo Fernández has said that the high temperatures at the Club World Cup are dangerous and revealed that he needed to lie down during Chelsea's win over Fluminense because the heat left him feeling 'really dizzy'. The Argentina midfielder is the latest player to criticise the tournament's scheduling and call for Fifa to make changes before the World Cup takes place in Canada, Mexico and the US next summer. Challenging weather conditions in the US have been a major talking point during the first edition of the expanded Club World Cup. Thunderstorms have caused delays to games, and teams have also had to deal with mid-afternoon kick-offs in intense heat. Temperatures were high when Chelsea faced Fluminense at 3pm in the first semi-final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey last Thursday. Local authorities had issued a heat warning and Fernández, who was conducting media duties before Chelsea face Paris Saint-Germain in Sunday's final, saying that he needed treatment in the second half will heap pressure on Fifa to consider late kick-off times at the 2026 World Cup. 'The heat is incredible,' Fernández said. 'The other day I got a bit dizzy during a play. I had to lie down on the ground because I was really dizzy. Playing in this temperature is very dangerous, it's very dangerous. 'Moreover, for the spectacle, for the people who come to enjoy the stadium, for the people who watch it at home. The game, the speed of the game is not the same, everything becomes very slow. Well, let's hope that next year they change the schedule, at least so that it remains a beautiful and attractive football spectacle, right?' Levi Colwill agreed that the heat has led to slower games. 'If you turn the game into a basketball match in this heat, it's not going to help anyone,' the Chelsea centre-back said. 'You have to control the ball way more, pick the right times to attack and try to score.' There was an attempt to ask Fernández, who spoke and fielded questions exclusively in Spanish, about him singing a homophobic and racist song after Argentina's Copa América triumph last year, but the 24-year-old did not appear to understand the question. Ruben Amorim risks angering Marcus Rashford with decision on Alejandro Garnacho

Manchester United are aiming to sell a crop of unwanted stars, including Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, but the latter has been allowed to return to full training with the rest of the squad Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has risked the wrath of Marcus Rashford after reportedly allowing Alejandro Garnacho to train with his team-mates at Carrington - while the England star continues to be isolated from the squad. Garnacho and Rashford both look set for exits this summer after falling out with the Portuguese boss last season. The Argentine lost his place in the team towards the end of the 2024-25 campaign and appeared irked when Amorim dropped him for the Europa League final defeat to Spurs - and suggested he was unhappy with the decision after the game. Garnacho also aimed a barb by claiming United had a "s***" season and has been linked with the likes of Napoli and Chelsea. But the 21-year-old has reportedly been given permission to resume training with the rest of his United team-mates while his future continues to be discussed, according to ESPN. He managed an impressive season individually as he scored 11 goals and assisted nine, but could not stop the team finishing 15th. He still has interest from a number of teams across Europe, including from Italy and Germany, the report adds. As for Rashford, his future looks much bleaker. The forward was sent on loan to Aston Villa in January after leaving Amorim unimpressed with his training performances while also publicly stating his desire to leave. Rashford, along with Garnacho and three other players, had extra time off to find a new club before returning to training, but returned to Carrington on Monday and Tuesday - working by himself individually. Rashford has been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona, who are still looking for a new winger after top target Nico Williams signed a ten-year deal with Athletic Bilbao. According to reports in Spain, Rashford would be willing to take a sizeable pay cut on his £325,000-a-week wages to move to Barca - who want a loan deal given that United are demanding a £40m fee. He is understood to have no future at Old Trafford as long as Amorim remains manager - after the coach said he would rather name his 63-year-old goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital on the bench rather than a player who "does not give the maximum". The arrival of Matheus Cunha and the club's interest in Bryan Mbeumo further pushes him down the pecking order. Other players who have been told to find new clubs alongside Rashford and Garnacho and Jadon Sancho, who looks set to join Juventus, and Tyrell Malacia.
