Rangers vs. Mariners prediction: MLB picks, best bets for Saturday
For instance, former two-time NL Cy Young Award winner Jacob deGrom is supposed to outpitch Luis Castillo, and the Rangers are supposed to outscore the Mariners and win Saturday.
Not a very deGrom-like performance for Big Jake in his last start.
He allowed five runs over 5 ¹/₃ innings to the low-flying Halos.
Before that, deGrom had given up just three runs in his previous 12 innings.
Seattle's Castillo dominated the Athletics (one run over seven innings), but the Brewers blasted 10 hits and beat Luis in his previous outing.
We will play $50 on deGrom and the Rangers.

Not much interest in Mitchell Parker or Stitches at the trade deadline.
Parker made general managers around the league look good after giving up eight runs over four futile frames.

Brewers place flamethrowing rookie Jacob Misiorowski on the injured list
WASHINGTON — Three days, three injuries for the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brewers placed right-hander Jacob Misiorowski on the 15-day injured list with a left tibia contusion ahead of their Aug. 3 game at Nationals Park. Misiorowski was struck in the shin with a line drive in the first inning of his most recent start on July 28 against the Chicago Cubs, but stayed in the game and pitched four innings. Misiorowski's fellow rookie Logan Henderson was called up from Class AAA Nashville. More information will be available later in the morning of Aug. 3 as Misiorowski and manager Pat Murphy address the media. This is a developing story.
