Scream mask vandal targets synagogue with pro Palestine graffiti
CCTV footage released by police on Monday shows the unknown man arriving at the Melbourne Hebrew Congregation, South Yarra on a black e-scooter five times between March and July.
Police say the venue was targeted with graffiti that read 'Free Palestine' and 'Iran is da bomb' on Tuesday March 11 about 1.45am, Saturday June 21 about 9.50pm, Sunday June 22 about 4.02am, Tuesday July 22 about 11.30pm and Wednesday July 30 about 8.35pm.
The Herald Sun reported in the most recent attack, the synagogue was tagged with the phrase 'war crimes' with the Star of David standing in place of the letter a.
Police said the man is likely caucasian, of medium build and bald, and while his clothing differs in each incident his usual attire includes a long black jacket and a 'black and white face covering'.
During the July incidents the man concealed his identity with a mask from the popular horror movie Scream.
Police said 'there is absolutely no place at all in our society for hate-based behaviour'.

Chaos at Brisbane Airport after security machine malfunctions
Brisbane Airport has been thrown into chaos after a technical fault at security forced thousands of people to be re-screened. The fault was found in a single metal detector at the domestic terminal on Monday, which delayed about 10 flights departing from for one hour or longer, according to the Courier Mail. Former A Current Affair journalist Ben McCormack is back in court after being charged with more than 60 child abuse material offences. Mr McCormack, a former high-profile TV journalist with the Nine Network, had his matter mentioned in the Brisbane Arrests Court on Monday. He is charged with 65 counts of using a carriage service to 'transmit, make available, publish, distribute, advertise or promote' child abuse material, three counts of failing to comply with his reporting obligations and a single count of giving false or misleading information.
