For her achievements, the Lekki native has been recognised with the College Player award at this year's edition of the Tennis Black List awards, presented in association with Dante Talent and held during the HSBC Championships at The Queen's Club, London on the 11th of June, supported by the LTA.
She is one of two names to receive the College Player award, the other being South African Khololwam 'Kholo' Montsi.
Tennis Black List is the global celebration of Black and mixed black excellence across the game — spotlighting the unsung, the visionary and the next generation of changemakers.
Taking place in the run up to The Championships at Wimbledon, the Tennis Black List recognises the contributions of individuals and organisations from grassroots level up to the professional game in Britain and internationally.
It follows the example set by the successful and respected Football Black List, created by Leon Mann MBE and Rodney Hinds, and Rugby Black List which have demonstrated the power that celebrating black excellence can achieve in sport.
The event was an opportunity to inspire the next generation in the tennis community, with the commitment shown by the winners on and off the court.
Previous award winners at the Tennis Black List Awards include the likes of Venus Williams and Yannick Noah.
Awards were handed out in ten categories across the evening at the ceremony, with several recipients present at the The Queen's Club.
Founders Anne-Marie Batson and Richard Sackey Addo said: 'This movement is about legacy. Tennis Black List is creating space for Black and mixed-black heritage excellence to be seen, honoured and remembered across all areas of tennis. We are building a global legacy that makes space for what is next.'
Launched in 2022; Tennis Black List is the only global platform dedicated to celebrating and documenting Black and mixed-black impact in tennis — from grassroots organisers to elite players. A movement rooted in recognition, legacy, and cultural celebration.

Helen Flanagan sports painful looking black eye after getting £400 skin jabs

HELEN Flanagan has been spotted sporting a black eye after undergoing a round of £400 skin injections. The former Coronation Street actress could be seen with a bruised face as she stopped to pick up a few essentials from a local shop before heading back into her car. 6 6 6 6 Dressed casually for her brief outing, Helen wore a simple plain black T-shirt as she clutched onto various items from inside the store. Going make-up free, Helen's painful looking black eye could be visibly seen as she kept her sunglasses propped upon her head before getting into her vehicle. Helen is understood to have acquired the bruising after opting for a series of £400 skin injections into her face. The TV favourite confirmed she had undergone the procedure on her Instagram stories shortly before she was seen with the shiner. Helen told her fans that she had undergone Polynucleotides, a procedure which aims to rejuvenate the skin and face with no added volume. The 34-year-old mum-of-three thanked her practitioner as she posted online as she added: "I only go to @drnataliehowarth for my face as I trust her a million percent." Helen's decision to plump up her face comes after she cut all ties with her ex Robbie Talbot - two months on from their shock split. Helen and Robbie began dating last year in secret even though she was booked to appear on Celebs Go Dating. She later confessed that she had a boyfriend and their romance was instead chronicled on the show. However, they called it quits earlier this year amid a difficult time for Helen. Helen Flanagan stuns in lingerie as she cuts final ties with ex Robbie Talbot two months after split And whilst things between the exes seemed civil just weeks ago - the pair have now both removed one another from their social media platforms. Helen appears to have unfollowed Robbie with he doing the same back to the former Coronation Street actress. The busty star last notably interacted with Robbie just five weeks ago when she very publicly wished him a Happy Father's Day on his Instagram account. Underneath a photo of him and his daughters, Helen liked the post before writing: "Happy Father's Day Robbie your the best daddy to Sophia and Carina they love you so much." Her comments came despite the fact that the pair had officially split up. It sparked hopes of a reunion but those now appear to be dashed following their public unfollowing online. 6 6

'Cowardly and big headed' A dart storm brews over savage claims aimed at Josh Rock and Daryl Gurney

South African star Devon Petersen rifles back at World Cup winners after comments of disrespect at World Cup Devon Petersen has fired back at Josh Rock and colleague Daryl Gurney and hammered out accusations of cowardice and big headedness. ‌ The South African star has spoken out strongly in the wake of a feisty World Cup of Darts clash against eventual-winners Northern Ireland last month. ‌ Rock called Petersen 'disrespectful' for pouring water over his partner's darts case and also had a pop at his rival's chatting on stage. Gurney piped in saying Petersen would be a 'millionaire' if he was paid for speaking. ‌ However, the Petersen has rifled back with his response and told Online Darts: 'I feel as though, because I'm off the tour, they felt as though they could say what they wanted to because there was not going to be any kind of backlash or talkback or whatever. I think the crazy part is, we celebrated them on the stage, when they came off the stage. 'We saw them at the hotel. We had jokes with them, spoke about the event, spoke about the game, said, listen, the possibilities of you winning is real. So understand that the next steps, make it count. Make it your World Cup, is what we said. Josh and Daryl was celebratory towards us, we miss you on tour and all of that stuff. You get back home to the hotel, you see these headlines. 'And I was almost like, number one, cowardly. I felt like it was a coward move because I was stood right in front of you, could have said it to my face. Number two is, there should be a player etiquette. When you talk nonsense on stage and you're speaking to a global audience, and it's the World Cup, so it is the global audience. What Josh Rock was saying about being disrespectful. 'I've only been respectful to everybody that I've played against and played with and competed against, even Josh Rock. And it feels as though there's a slight big headedness that came through at that point. And I don't know if it's emotion because we've seen a lot of players go through that and stress and, obviously, things placed on them and pressure. 'I wanted to win for South Africa. There was no way that I wasn't going to give it my all, right? And there was comments made by Daryl Gurney saying: He spoke all the time on the stage. It's a pairs game, there's four people on the stage. The only way that I'm going to make the player that is partnered with me comfortable, I told him, listen to my voice. 'I didn't speak to Daryl Gurney or to Josh Rock and say you're going to play bad or kind of disrupt their game. If you listen to me as well, that's on you, you got your team. And they were also doing the exact same. 'So I don't know how they went: Oh, we won, but he was so disrespectful. If I was on the stage and they said it, I would have said some stuff. ‌ 'In the end, Josh Rock came with the attitude he wanted to win. He came with that almost, I'm going to say arrogance, but not in a bad way. He came with that confidence. Let me call it that, the confidence because he's been playing well. Daryl said that he told Josh Rock, this is Devon's game to play. So I think that he built Josh Rock up with this kind of almost aggression and all of that stuff, where it wasn't my fault. 'And then when they were talking about throwing water on their darts. To understand, to throw water three metres away from where I'm stood? Listen, if I was throwing water that good, I wish it was my darts so that I would have been in the final and not them. 'So, yes, I think that there was a lot that went wrong. I messaged Daryl, I called him a few names, but I congratulated him as well because we have a relationship like that. I felt it was a silly moment for them to do it. If they worded it differently and they said we wanted to win for Northern Ireland, that would have been a lot more tasteful than Devon was disrespectful because there's no reason for me to be respecting you on a stage if you're my opponent. ‌ 'I respect the game rules, I respect everything else, but we are opponents, I'm there to rip your head off. I didn't do anything to impede your game. your name or reputation. You did all of that. So it showed a bit of the level or the lack of class from Team Northern Ireland.' Petersen says saying the right things is important in the modern-darts world as he added: 'I think that the one thing that players must be reminded, right, is that you come from nothing and then you elevate it to this level of stardom and celebrity. Not everybody can cope with that. Some people get big heads, some people remain the same. Some people just change attitudes. Just understand that there's a level of respect that's needed, understanding what you say goes out to the world and darts is on a platform now where anything said or done, I mean, we've seen Michael Van Gerwen playing Padel the other day. It made news. Like he's playing Padel. That the level that the sport is on now. 'So what you say, what you do in front of the stage, just premeditate it, at least. I know not a lot of players think that far, but do it because the sport is at the point because it can almost hinder your future and you don't want that to happen.'

Jamie Foxx, 57, cuts a dapper figure in a white suit as he attends The Summer Gala in St Tropez alongside his daughters Corinne and Anelise

cut a dapper figure in a white suit as he attended The Summer Gala in St Tropez alongside his daughters Corinne and Anelise on Thursday. The actor, 57, commanded attention in an all-white suit and shirt combo, while completing the look with white trainers and a silver chain. He was joined by his daughter Corinne, 31, who stunned in a black cut-out dress with a dramatic thigh-high slit. She added inches to her frame as she slipped into a pair of towering nude suede stilettos and toted around her belongings in a satin box bag. Anelise, 16, cut a more relaxed look as she stepped out in an oversized black satin shirt which she paired with oversized black trousers. She finished her unique ensemble with a pair of black chunky boots and accessorised with a simple necklace. The family outing comes after Jamie broke down in tears as he accepted the Ultimate Icon Award at the BET Awards in Los Angeles last month. 'Man, we used to take this saying for granted — that God is good,' the Oscar winner said as he began his touching speech. 'God is good,' he said again, to which the audience reacted, saying 'All the time.' 'All the time,' Jamie repeated, to which the crowd shouted back 'God is good.' 'I cannot even begin to express the love that I feel from everybody out there,' he continued, accepting the award presented by Stevie Wonder, 75. 'I gotta be honest, when I saw the in memoriam..... that could have been me,' the Ray star explained breaking down, as a cutaway shot showed his two daughters, Corrine and Anelise fighting back their own tears. 'I don't know why I went what I went through what I went through, but I know my second chance I'm not going to turn down... I have so much love to give.' Speaking of the conversation he had with his higher power during his near- fatal brain bleed that lead to a stroke, he said, 'I told him, I said, "Man, bro, just give me one more crack at this and I promise"... I said, "Whatever reason you put this on me, I promise Imma do right."' He then told the audience, 'And Imma do right in front of y'all, 'cause I know a lot of times, when we get on, we forget where we come from.' The actor said when he produced his Netflix special, Jamie Foxx: What Happened Was... 'it was in front of Black people. Black people was the one that said, "man, we got you." 'Not to say that white people can't pray either,' he added, which got a laugh from the audience. 'I know that sounds weird, but you know what I'm saying,' he continued, 'but you can't go through something like that and not testify.' He broke out in song, using his impression of Ray Charles to sing a few lines from his song I Got A Woman. After thanking his team for standing by him, he continued, saying, 'thank you to Black people and the Black award, because this is what really counts. A lot of people think the Oscars, is like, the biggest thing, and we gotta quick thinking like that. The Icon Award is the most important award because it comes from us.' The Back in Action star then thanked his family. 'I have to thank my sister Deirdre, who's in the audience right now. When I went through what I was going through she shut it down and she made sure that she took care of her brother,' giving the 'little girl from Dallas' credit for doing hair and makeup on 'all the Marvel films.' 'My beautiful daughter Corrine, I cannot say enough about you,' he said. 'You've always taken the backseat to everything, but when you needed to drive it, you drove, and you made sure I was here...' He added: 'At a certain point I'm going to stop crying, but I'm not going to stop crying just yet. 'Analise Estelle Foxx, my baby with the big hair. She hides under that hair, cause she's got something special,' he said, sharing the story of how the teen snuck into his hospital room to play guitar for him. 'I realized God was in that guitar,' he explained of his miraculous recovery. 'God is good, and all the time,' he concluded with the same call and response with which he began his speech.
