Weekly Young and the Restless Spoilers June 23-27: Why Does Lily Leave Cane Out in the Cold?

Yahoo23-06-2025
The Young and the Restless spoilers for June 23-27 focus on the fallout from Dumas's big debut. This involves Lily turning to Damian, Cane dealing with a couple of conspirators, and Abby experiencing a chance encounter. Emphasis on 'chance.'
Everybody is aware that Aristotle Dumas is Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), someone almost everyone at his party knows and has known for years. Now comes the time for the reactions from the Newmans, Abbotts, and Winters families.
There will definitely be individuals who aren't happy. It looks like Billy (Jason Thompson) and Sally (Courtney Hope) are two of those people. On Thursday, the Abbott Communications duo conspires against Cane. Billy was sitting pretty and feeling good about himself because, for a while there, he was the only one who had phone conversations with the mogul. Billy knows how to make enemies, doesn't he?
Meanwhile, Lily (Christel Khalil) is in some sort of denial. Lily thought finding out who Dumas was would change everything. According to teasers, Lily is left with more questions than answers. That's at the beginning of the week.
Later, Lily chooses classic avoidance and instead of figuring things out with Cane, she leans on Damian (Jermaine Rivers) on Thursday. And then makes a bold move with Damian on Friday. Does this mean Damian and Lily will grow closer after next week?

Abby (Melissa Ordway) arrives in Nice, and she suddenly has a 'chance' encounter. Chance (Conner Floyd), in this case, is her ex-husband. In the 'Next On' preview at the end of Friday's episode, Jack (Peter Bergman) mentions Chance being on the invite list. What will a French encounter between the two look like?
Also in Nice, Sharon (Sharon Case) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) have both experienced creepy vibes from the oversized maze Cane set up for his party. Unfortunately, it hits a little too close to home and reminds them of Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins) and how he played those sick psychological games with them. Sharon and Phyllis may have to support each other, once again, when they receive a painful reminder of their past trauma.

Back in Genoa City, we're about to get another interaction between Holden (Nathan Owens) and Claire (Hayley Erin) when Holden comes to Claire's rescue. Anytime these two get together, they're flirty and they drink Vespers. After the rescue, will the flirtiness and toasts continue?

Phoebe Philo's 'Collection D' Gives a Glimpse of How We'll All Be Dressing Next Year

Phoebe Philo is a master of her craft, and the preview for her upcoming 'Collection D,' the fourth in her collection series, demonstrates many of the finest aspects of her abilities. At Celine (or Céline, while still under her tenure), she approached fashion as a subtly intellectual mode of expression. It's no wonder, despite how many others try to recapture her elusive nonchalance, that Philo's eponymous label possesses the ability to still reign supreme. As with the edits and collections that came before it, Phoebe Philo has revived numerous treasured silhouettes from her time at the French house. The brand's current Gig Bag proves an updated version of the Trio—and we're all better for it, especially with 'Collection D's' suede earth-toned continuations. The silhouette of an enveloping Moon bomber or Kinked Tailored Dress feels satisfyingly familiar, yet with her signature flair, they are also indulgently new. Philo's woman is at once young and old—a design skill one can only acquire from a comprehensive understanding of the spectrum of feminine style, no matter the actual age of the person she's dressing. But however serious her customer (and price point) may be, it's the details that cause hidden delight to bubble to the surface. Take the Cape Bomber, crafted in an exquisitely seasonless shade of brown, which creates an effortlessly hybrid silhouette, and perhaps pair it with a coronet made from goose feathers. It might still be high summer, but Philo has already set the standard for translating operatic dramas into our winter wardrobes without feeling overtly costume-y. Delicious details follow through the rest of the collection, too. Incredibly simple oversized T-shirts are paired with outlandish bottoms like the Wisp Feather Trousers. The Sugar Tops—apron-like shirts with bubbled hems—warn that Philo might actually successfully bring the peplum back, but more than anything else, they give a buoyancy and balance to her other signature loose-fit and streamlined shapes. The leather straps on the Buckle Sandals are excessively long, as if accidentally untrimmed, and yet there's a definite feeling of fun in letting them feel a little bit askew. Elsewhere, the Low Buckle Sandals pile on top of themselves. Footwear continues to be one of the brand's strongest categories (alongside its perfectly paparazzi-blocking sunglasses), and it's no surprise that the rest of the industry's freaky footwear experiments are finally catching up. As a brand, Phoebe Philo's seasonless design presence remains obstinately in its own lane, a stance that, for a two-year-old company, remains impressive in a design world still so rigidly ruled by the fashion calendar. Though the pieces won't begin to drop until early 2026, their impact is already being felt.

Butter Yellow Is Summer's Trendiest Shade—Here Are 4 Nail Looks to Try

Every item on this page was chosen by an ELLE editor. We may earn commission on some of the items you choose to buy. Now that summer is here, our seasonal beauty switch-ups are officially in motion, starting with the arrival of joyful, butter yellow manicures. Whether it's a layer of glossy soft yellow polish or a minimalist spring-inspired design, the options are endless when it comes to sunny nail ideas—it's simply a matter of choosing your style. Consider what type of manicure you'd like to sport this summer. Classic polish allows you to switch up your design (not to mention try new nail art techniques at home), while a gel formula offers longevity for those looking for a longer-lasting mani. For ultimate durability, opt for acrylics, which are perfect for a long-haul trip, or try BIAB (Builder in a Bottle) to encourage strength and new length for weakened tips. Here, we've rounded up the best buttery nail designs and manicure ideas for summer, including fancy French tips and playful aura nails. You can add an elegant sheen to any classic manicure using chrome, but this summer it's best placed over a sunshine yellow French tip. 'Begin by painting one coat of your desired base shade (I'm a huge fan of Essie Gel Couture in Sheer Fantasy),' explains nail artist and Essie ambassador Michelle Humphrey. 'Paint your French tip—this can be white, or any color! For warmer days, you might want to opt for a brighter shade like lilac, matcha green, or yellow.' To finish, apply either a chrome top coat (or chrome powder with a clear top coat) to add a finishing metallic glaze to your mani. So chic and so modern. Florals for spring-summer may seem cliché, but we assure you, these delicate designs couldn't be more trendy. 'Start by applying your desired base shade; sheer nudes always look beautiful, but you can choose any color you like. Soft sorbet shades would also be dreamy for this look,' says Humphrey. 'Use a dotting tool or a bobby pin to create a small circle of five white dots, then create the center of the flower by adding one more yellow dot. Tip: Be sure to clean the tool regularly to prevent the polish from drying and the dots becoming uneven. You can have several flowers or just one on the nail—the options are limitless!' Trendy but never childish, these airbrushed tips have been making the rounds since 2023, retaining their popularity thanks to an easy-to-replicate design and versatile set of colors. This summer, they're worn best in bright yellows and vibrant oranges. Think sunset shades. 'Paint your nails in your desired shades—I love choosing bright pastels on each nail,' says Humphrey. 'Apply a matte top coat and allow it to thoroughly dry. Grab any eyeshadow palette. Using an eyeshadow applicator sponge, gently buff the eyeshadow into the nail where you'd like your aura.' Complete on all nails, then apply a glossy top coat for that high-shine professional finish. Gingham has long been hailed as the official fabric of summer, but did you know it also looks incredibly chic when adorned over bare nails? Better yet, match your manicure to your lightweight summer wardrobe. While we're huge fans of an at-home nail design, we're the first to admit that this idea is far from beginner-friendly. Save this detailed inspiration for your in-salon appointment, whether that's an acrylic set to last well beyond the heat wave, or a classic gel manicure that won't smear and smudge throughout the week.

Group Behind LA Hit Mother Wolf Is Opening an NYC Restaurant

is a born-and-raised New Yorker who is an editor for Eater's Northeast region and Eater New York, was the former Eater Austin editor for 10 years, and often writes about food and pop culture. The Los Angeles hospitality group behind chef Evan Funke's hit Italian spot, Mother Wolf, is going to be opening a new restaurant in New York City. Ten Five signed a 15-year lease on the ground floor of 125 West 57th Street, between Fifth and Sixth avenues. It's a mixed-use development in the heart of Midtown's so-called Billionaires' Row, where the restaurant will take up 7,045 square feet on the ground floor, as first reported by the New York Post. Ten Five's managing partner, Dan Daley, said via a rep for the building's developers, 'We're excited to bring a new concept to this incredibly dynamic part of the city and to contribute to the continued evolution of this iconic corridor,' he wrote, describing it as 'a considered and ambitious project.' Ten Five's chief marketing officer, Kim Walker, writes to Eater that there are 'no further details to share,' but that the team is 'excited about the new space.' Eater has reached out to Funke to see if he is involved. Ten Five's first Los Angeles restaurants were coastal Mexican restaurant Ka'teen and rooftop bar Desert 5 Spot in 2021, inside the Tommie Hotel. Those were followed by Bar Lis in 2022, and French restaurant Mes Amis followed in 2022, both in the Thomson Hotel. But it wasn't until Ten Five debuted Mother Wolf in 2022, where Funke focuses on Roman-style Italian cuisine and especially his pastas, that they had a spot that received outsized culinary attention and celebrity patronage. At the time, Los Angeles Times critic Bill Addison described the spaghettone alla gricia as a 'pork-besotted masterpiece,' and was taken with 'all'amatriciana's potent mix of tomato and guanciale fused onto curving rigatoni.' Building on Mother Wolf's success, the group expanded with offshoots in Miami and Las Vegas. A rendering of 125 West 57th's entrance. Rendering: Neoscape Not all of their ventures have worked out. The company opened an LA-style British pub, the Chap, but closed it a year later, in 2023, in the middle of the company's lawsuit with then-partnering development company Relevant Group. This new, unnamed NYC restaurant isn't Ten Five's first venture into the five boroughs. Back in 2024, the group expanded Desert 5 Spot, a western-themed bar with bull riding, into Williamsburg. 125 West 57th is going to be a high-priced, fancy 30-story building run by real estate developers Alchemy-ABR Investment Partners and Cain International. The address had been home to the Calvary Baptist Church, dating back to the late 1800s, dubbed a 'skyscraper church.' As part of this new development, the church will reopen, occupying the second through 10th floors. The overall space is scheduled to open after Labor Day in September, per the Post. It's down the street from another big Midtown restaurant in the works. Over at 9 West 57th Street, Billy Durney and the team behind Kent Hospitality Group are working on their spot.
