One UI 8 Watch update now rolling out to the Galaxy Watch Ultra
Key tools for that are the Multi-Info Tiles. They are customizable, so you can pick the data that's most relevant to you – you can choose from anything from weather info to health metrics. The Now Bar, which you may be familiar with from Galaxy phones, displays a camera controller, media controller, stopwatch and timer and so on (you can customize it from the companion app).
Speaking of health metrics, the watch can now calculate your Vascular Load and measure your Antioxidant Index. Vascular Load measures the stress on your circulatory system during sleep. The Antioxidant Index measures carotenoids (a kind of antioxidant) stored in your skin.

Additionally, the Galaxy Watch Ultra gains support for the new Running Coach. It can build a detailed running plan for you given a specific goal – 5K, 10K, half marathon or full marathon. It starts by measuring your running performance with a 12-minute test. You can read more about the new features here.
During the Galaxy Unpacked event earlier this month, Samsung refreshed the Galaxy Watch Ultra with a new Titanium Blue color option and doubled the storage to 64GB. This new version is launching globally this week, but it's a minor improvement over the original 2024 watch (it's not an 'Ultra 2').
Anyway, One UI 8 Watch will be released for older models too. Last week, we saw reports of a beta build for the Galaxy Watch5 and Watch5 Pro, for example.

Redmi 15 5G specs leak: 6.9" 144Hz display, huge battery and a surprising chipset
We've been seeing leaks for a 4G-connected Redmi 15C over the last couple of weeks. Now info on a 5G model has surfaced with better than expected specs. The Redmi 15 5G is said to feature a 6.9' 1080p+ 144Hz display. Previous Redmi models commonly had 720p+ resolution, so this is a welcome upgrade. The high refresh rate is the cherry on top (usually, we see 120Hz). There's more – the phone will allegedly be powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3. That too is higher than normal as the Redmi number series typically uses Snapdragon 4-series chips for its 5G models (e.g. Redmi 13 5G and Redmi 14C 5G featured Snapdragon 4 Gen 2). It's a 6nm chip, so it's nothing too advanced, but it's still a class above the usual silicon we see in these phones. The chipset will be paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage. The phone will launch with the tagline 'One Charge. Two days. Zero Worries.' and it justifies that with a massive 7,000mAh battery. Only two Xiaomi phones have a higher capacity – the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro and Redmi K80 Ultra, both of which are high-end models. The charge speed is on the low side at just 33W. That's going to take a while to fill all 7,000mAh, but at least you'll only have to do it once every couple of days. The leak reveals additional detail, like a 50MP main camera joined only by a 2MP helper on the back, plus a fairly basic 8MP selfie camera. On the plus side, NFC is supported, which isn't always the case in some markets. Redmi 15 5G leaked specs Speaking of, the price is given as 'RM 699-RM 750', which reveals that this info comes from Malaysia. The price converts to $165-$180, by the way. For now, there is no information on when Xiaomi will unveil the Redmi 15 5G. Given all the leaks, we think that the Redmi 15C 4G is just around the corner, but these could have separate launches. The Galaxy S26 may have a surprise under the hood
Apparently, a Samsung-made Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 may still be in the works, according to a prominent leaker. Reportedly, the chip may be cheaper than the one that TSMC makes, which should be good news for the Galaxy S26 prices. There have been conflicting rumors about the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 processor, which may power Samsung's next year flagship series, the Galaxy S26 . Rumor has it that the chip may be manufactured by both TSMC and Samsung. And now, a reputable tipster is chiming in, reiterating this claim. Digital Chat Station is now claiming on Weibo that the so-called SM8850s chipset has not been cancelled yet. Reportedly, this model number could stand for the Samsung-made Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 chip. Meanwhile, the standard, TSMC-made Snapdragon chip is reportedly sporting model number SM8850. In a follow-up comment, DCS also claims that the processor manufactured by Samsung would be cheaper than the one coming from TSMC. If this rumor turns out to be true and Qualcomm indeed goes with this dual-sourcing strategy, it's highly likely that the Galaxy S26 phones may come with the chip made by Samsung. This would be good news for the pricing of the phones, which could ensure Samsung doesn't have to raise prices for the S26 lineup as much. Meanwhile, a cheaper Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 could also be used for base flagships from other brands, including Xiaomi and Honor, which would allow for price freezes in different areas. But of course, many of you probably know that Samsung's chip manufacturing has traditionally lagged behind TSMC. Unfortunately, we've seen previously that chips made by Samsung lag in performance and efficiency. So it's likely that the TSMC-made Snapdragon chip may be technically better performing than its Samsung twin brother. It's also likely, though, that Samsung manages to catch up to TSMC and its chip to be comparable to the TSMC-made one too. Meanwhile, we've previously heard that Samsung may offer the in-house Exynos 2600 to some Galaxy S26 models. From all it seems, Samsung appears not to have made its final decision about the processor powering these phones just yet. Samsung's main competitor, Apple, has been making its own processor for iPhones for quite a while, and Apple's processors are top-notch, powerful, and I do hope that Samsung takes its time and makes the right call here. Whether it's its own chip, one from TSMC, or its in-house Exynos, what matters most to users is having a phone that runs fast, stays cool, and doesn't drain the battery too quickly. If Samsung can pull that off while keeping prices down, that's a win for everyone.
