Celebrity Traitors star lifts lid on ‘intense' and ‘brutal' series – and lets slip which celeb is the smartest
She is one of 19 famous faces who've just finished filming the spin-off series at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highland for BBC One with Claudia Winkleman returning to host.
And although many of the celebs had become quite pally over doing various shows and events together over the years, the long-standing loyalties counted for nothing.
Talking at the Goodwoof event this week, Clare said: 'It is so intense, and you get completely obsessed with the game.
"Obviously I knew quite a lot of them before I went in, but the friendships you had before go out the window!
'That, for me, is very challenging because I like to be friends with everybody! It's brutal, but I think I'm glad I did it. It will make good television and there are some really strong moments.'
Clare was keeping quiet about whether she was a traitor or a faithful, and would only let slip one thing about one of her fellow competitors.
She said: 'There are some people who are so clever. I mean, Nick Mohammed from Ted Lasso, he can solve problems and puzzles in like four and a half seconds. He's amazing.
'It was lovely to get more time to hang out with people like Stephen Fry, Celia Imrie, Charlotte Church who's an absolute superstar, and a really cool young singer called Cat Burns - I would not have met her and Ruth Cobb who's an actress in any other situation, and I loved that.
'Yeah it was great fun.'
Clare also admitted that one of the main reasons she agreed to take part was because she was such a fan of The Traitors, which is currently filming its fourth 'civilian' series.
She said: 'I wanted to do it because I wanted to experience the show, and I was really lucky they said yes to letting me. I think I was one of the first ones signed up actually, me and Stephen Fry.'
Claudia Winkleman reveals BBC bosses have slapped her with a big rule ahead of first ever Celebrity Traitors
Clare added: 'I wasn't even allowed to say I'd done Celebrity Traitors until they made the big announcement last week, and I certainly can't talk about any of the detail.'
GARETH IN TIGHT SQUEEZE
7
GARETH MALONE will have no trouble hitting the high notes in the dangerously tight outfit he squeezes into for The Horne Section TV Show.
The choirmaster makes a cameo appearance in the new series of the sitcom, which kicks off tonight on Channel 4.
He stars alongside Taskmaster 's Alex Horne, who plays himself as a host of his own late-night chat show alongside his band, The Horne Section.
Alex says the series involves 'six men who are nearly 50 years old, who should know better, but have been given a TV show, so we're mucking around, trying to make each other laugh'.
Also taking part in the chaos are Ghosts star Kiell Smith- Bynoe and impressionist Ronni Ancona.
Alex adds: 'It's really childish, it's very silly. We're just going to have a laugh.'
Gareth's clearly on board with that mantra, too.
GAVIN & Stacey star Rob Brydon plays divorcee Bill Beam, who staves off financial ruin by renting his spare rooms to students in a new show – Bill's Included.
It's one of several new comedies announced by the Beeb which include Reluctant Vampire starring Bafta winner Lenny Rush.
NAGA: I'M TROLLS' TARGET
BBC Breakfast host Naga Munchetty has revealed that trolls love to have a pop at her appearance.
She said: 'The number of times I've had comments like, 'You shouldn't be wearing that dress, you've got a bit of a belly'.
'People are quite happy to comment on social media.
'I'm very happy with my body. I'm fit, I'm strong, but women have bellies.'
She added to Gabby Logan on her The Mid-Point podcast: 'You get a lot of nice comments, but women are expected to portray a certain aesthetic.
'And when you dress for news you have to be mindful that what you wear cannot be distracting.
'Women are more highly criticised and noticed.'
GLAM LIZ IS A DEAD ZINGER
7
WHAT better way to exhume your career than in a coffin.
That seems to be the motto of Liz Hurley who has just been announced as the leading lady on new Channel 4 show The Inheritance.
The Austin Powers actress is being joined by Rob Rinder on the upcoming reality series, which sees 13 strangers summoned to a grand stately home.
They have to compete for a chunk of the fortune left in the will of The Deceased, a rather glamorous woman, played, naturally, by our Liz.
Rob plays her executor and legal counsel – which is understandable given he is a trained barrister and erstwhile Judge Rinder.
He said: 'As The Executor I enforce the rules, keep the chaos in check – more or less – and make sure our players are deserving of every glittering penny left by our dearly departed deceased.'
The show will air this autumn.
TANYA'S BUNCH HUNCH
THERE could well be a second series of The Bardsley Bunch – if Tanya Bardsley gets her way.
The former Real Housewives Of Cheshire star reckons fans are chomping at the bit for a sequel to the reality show that focuses on her, hubby Phil, a former footballer, and their children.
The mum of four said: 'It resonates with people because there's no filter with us. I've not had one bad comment.
'Kids can be little t****rs no matter how much you dress them up, but all the mums out there understand that.
'We're having talks about series two with ITV soon. No one else would employ me, so what else am I going to do?
'I got sacked when I was a cleaner, so this will be it!'
SURANNE SHOW IS SPELLBINDING
SURANNE JONES is to star in a TV drama about witchcraft – having becoming obsessed with the subject after making a documentary about the phenomenon.
The Gentleman Jack actress has paired up with the production team behind Disney historical thriller series A Thousand Blows and Bafta-winning Sky comedy Mr Bigstuff.
Suranne and her husband, producer Laurence Akers, are both fascinated by the supernatural and were spurred on to make the show after co-creating last summer's Channel 4 documentary, Investigating Witch Trials.
The drama is in its early stages but is expected to go into production within months.
Though they have yet to attach it to a channel, the creators say the biggest hurdle is financing it.
Tom Miller, of production firm Water and Power, told the British Television Society: 'We're currently developing a TV drama with Suranne and Laurence about witchcraft.
'Increasingly, as we build a reputation, we get sent books and scripts, though developing them can be expensive.
'We don't have backers — we're completely independent — so we have to bear development costs.'
Two-parter Investigating Witch Trials saw Suranne exploring the stories behind the infamous 17th century prosecutions for witchcraft.
She delved into the myths surrounding sorcery while exploring the historic witch trials and the super-natural in England, America and beyond. And she also exposed how age-old prejudices still affect women today.
She said: 'For as long as I can remember, I've been intrigued by the idea of witches. I would love to be cast as a witch.
'When I was younger I didn't gravitate towards princesses, I loved fairy tales and folklore.
'But I loved witches and the wild women who got their hands dirty.'
I'd roll your sleeves up now, Suranne — you'll have channels and streamers banging on your door for this drama.

Naked Attraction host Anna Richardson sinks claws into 'deeply unethical' Love Island - insisting she 'refuses to watch it in on a point of principle'
Naked Attraction host Anna Richardson has sunk her claws into the 'deeply unethical' ITV2 show Love Island - and has insisted that she 'refuses to watch it in on a point of principle'. The twelfth series of the programme returned to our screens last month and viewers have enjoyed the drama that has come along with it. Love Island, currently hosted by Maya Jama, 30, has become a huge fan favourite since it hit our screens in 2015, and has managed to get 1.4m views across all their platforms for this year's launch. But another popular, but very different show is Naked Attraction - and host Anna thinks that people love the Channel 4 programe so much because it's 'funny' and there are plenty of different bodies on display. While she thinks that Love Island doesn't have as much diversity when it comes to the representation of bodies. Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, Anna said: 'You're seeing a range of bodies, it makes you feel comfortable about your own [Naked Attraction]. 'And I personally have never, ever watched Love Island, so I kind of refuse, on point of principle, because I think that Love Island is a deeply unethical show. 'So what you're doing is you're showing youth and beauty and rivalry as a betrayal, as some kind of standard that we should be held up to, whereas N aked Attraction does the exact opposite. 'So yeah, I think it's about, I think it's a gloriously bonkers show about acceptance.' She added: 'When you scratch beneath the surface of negative attraction, it's actually about acceptance. 'It is about the fact that nobody's body is perfect. This is about vulnerability. It's about acceptance. 'It's about seeing you for who you really are in all your human glory, and people actually saying, do you know what? 'Whether I've got a stoma, or I have a disability, I've got one leg, or I'm in a wheelchair, whatever happens to be, or I'm a trans person on my journey, all of us deserve to be loved and accepted for who we are.' The programme hit our screens in 2016 and went on to air 65 episodes across seven series. More and more shows are now focusing on sex, with the likes of people losing their virginity on Virgin Island, and couples opening up their relationships on Open House: The Great Sex Experiment. Anna thinks that Naked Attraction has paved the way for those kind of programmes to exist. 'Everybody had a breakdown when Naked Attraction was announced, she told us. 'And, you know, the press went absolutely crazy... "This is a new low for, you know, new low and moral standards on British television". 'And of course, we were trailblazers, so now we've paved the way to things being more open and talked about and accepting. 'I've watched both Open House and Virgin Island, and I think they're both incredible formats. 'In terms of Open House, what they're doing, very cleverly there is just merely reflecting the fact that polyamory is on the rise, people are sexually open and curious. 'And Virgin Island? I think that's an extraordinary idea, that there are sex therapists out there that ultimately are prepared to have sex with people who have psychological issues around their virginity. 'Again, what you're dealing with here is issues of being vulnerable and people being human. Yeah, so I think they're both fantastic formats.' Many are desperate to know if the show will ever make a return, and Anna is hoping that it does happen in the future. 'I am desperate for it to come back,' Anna told us. 'I want a male campaign that basically says "Bring back Naked Attraction." 'It is wildly popular. People absolutely love it. It is funny. 'It's about acceptance. And I think at the moment, in a world where we're all actually a bit p***ed off and we feel ground down in this country, you know, there's a huge amount of division and anger.' She added: 'So the fact is, the truth is, I have no idea whether it's coming back. 'I really hope so, because it's a fun show to do, and it does very well, but I have no idea about about the politics of whether it is or not, but let's keep our fingers crossed.' The telly star has helped people try and find a suitable partner by stripping down and baring all on Naked Attraction, but there appears to be a more popular way of meeting people these days - and it includes being in a hotter climate. Anna has joined forces with iD Mobile, who have recently found out that more Brits than ever are dating abroad. She told us: 'The [dating] landscape in the UK is becoming more diminished, and people are going abroad, and off the back of that, they are then offering inclusive Data Roaming to 50 different countries that people can find love worldwide, basically with ease, without landing a huge bill at the end of it. 'But the the survey results are very, very interesting, just just given the fact that we know that 45% of people say that their best romantic experience happened abroad. 'Most of us have had a holiday romance. 'We know that around a third of people use dating apps when they go abroad to hook up with locals, but also because they're saying that actually, they get a more authentic experience of the town or the city that they're in if they use a language app or dating app.' Anna Richardson has partnered with iD Mobile to explore the rise in overseas dating and highlight how roaming charges are preventing millions of Brits from making meaningful connections abroad. With inclusive Roaming in more destinations than any UK network, iD Mobile is helping holidaymakers stay connected for love, fun and everything in between. Visit for more information.

Love Island's controversial bombshell Harrison reveals his mum's reaction to his villa behaviour after he quit show
LOVE Island bombshell Harrison Solomon has revealed his mum gave him a "grilling" for his eyebrow-raising conduct on the matchmaking series. The footballer, 22, was embroiled in a controversial love triangle with Lauren and Toni for most of his villa stay, breaking both their hearts along the way. 6 6 6 After Lauren was dumped, Harrison did some soul-searching and decided to leave with her to give things a go in the outside world. Yet on his return to reality, he was subject to criticism from charity Women's Aid, who called out the fact he pleaded with Toni to pick him in a recoupling hours after having sex with Lauren. Now, Harrison has told how eyebrows were raised within his own family, too. In a chat with Heart Radio he said: "My sister and my mum are massive Love Island fans anyway. "So, especially now I'm on there, they have watched every episode to be honest. They saw everything which is not ideal. "But yeah, they were watching along. They said they were very proud of me and how I acted in there. "I obviously got a little grilling from mum when I got back as well. 'Just about the way I had been in the villa which is understandable as well." Yet he defended his intention underpinning his actions and added: "I knew there was going to be a bit of backlash coming away from the show. "But I feel like as long as Lauren and I know where we stand with each other, and like she said the communication is key and we speak about how we are feeling. Love Island's Harrison reveals why he's NOT gone official with Lauren - despite plans to move in together "Those comments from the outside are never going to get to me but I obviously worry about Lauren's perception on things. But I feel like she's taken it well." CLAP BACK Harrison recently spoke out about the criticism from Women's Aid. The organisation flagged "toxic behaviours" in a stark message posted to social media. They wrote: "In recent years, Love Island and other forms of reality TV have been repeatedly called out by viewers for allowing in contestants that had a history of abusive, coercive and manipulative behaviour in previous relationships. Love Island 2025 full lineup Harry Cooksley: A 30-year-old footballer with charm to spare. Shakira Khan: A 22-year-old Manchester-based model, ready to turn heads. Megan Moore: A payroll specialist from Southampton, looking for someone tall and stylish. Alima Gagigo: International business graduate with brains and ambition. Tommy Bradley: A gym enthusiast with a big heart. Helena Ford: A Londoner with celebrity connections, aiming to find someone funny or Northern. Ben Holbrough: A model ready to make waves. Dejon Noel-Williams: A personal trainer and semi-pro footballer, following in his footballer father's footsteps. Aaron Buckett: A towering 6'5' personal trainer. Conor Phillips: A 25-year-old Irish rugby pro. Antonia Laites: Love Island's first bombshell revealed as sexy Las Vegas pool party waitress. Yasmin Pettet: The 24-year-old bombshell hails from London and works as a commercial banking executive. Emily Moran: Bombshell Welsh brunette from the same town as Love Island 2024 alumni Nicole Samuel. Harrison Solomon: Pro footballer and model entering Love Island 2025 as a bombshell. Giorgio Russo: The 30-year-old will be spending his summer in the sun, potentially his sister Alessia's successful tournament at the Euros in Switzerland. Yaz Broom: Professional DJ from Manchester who appeared on X Factor 2016 in girl group Four of Diamonds. Andrada Pop: Miss Bikini Ireland 2019 winner who hails from Dublin and works as a nail technician and personal trainer. Emma Munro: Harry Cooksley's ex who entered as a bombshell and works as a hydrogeologist. Departures: Kyle Ashman: Axed after an arrest over a machete attack emerged. He was released with no further action taken and denies any wrongdoing. Sophie Lee: A model and motivational speaker who has overcome adversity after suffering life-changing burns in an accident. Blu Chegini: A boxer with striking model looks, seeking love in the villa. Malisha Jordan: A teaching assistant from Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, who entered Love Island 2025 as a bombshell. Shea Mannings: Works as a scaffolder day-to-day and plays semi-pro football on the side. Caprice Alexandra: The 26-year-old bombshell owns a nursery in Romford. Poppy Harrison: The bombshell broke up with her boyfriend after finding out she would be in the villa Will Means: The fourth fittest farmer in the UK according to Farmers' Weekly in 2023 entered the villa as a bombshell Megan Clarke: An Irish actress part of the OG line-up. Remell Mullins: Boasts over 18million likes and 500k followers on TikTok thanks to his sizzling body transformation videos. Alima Gagigo: 23-year-old personal banker from Glasgow who fancies herself as a 'good flirt'. "As a result, production companies have been more careful when it comes to selecting contestants and calling out toxic behaviours when we see them." They added: "'Women are often lied to, slut-shamed and manipulated, as well as laughed at behind their backs. "Misogyny and sexism lay the foundation for the tolerance of abuse and violence - it reinforces a culture that excuses and trivialises violence against women and girls. "More must be done to educate contestants on sexism and misogyny, and it is a great credit to viewers who take to social media, continuing to call out these behaviours as soon as they see them." Harrison spoke out against the charity's stark words and previously said to MailOnline: "I have seen the backlash and it's hard to digest. "I would disagree with a lot of it in terms of my respect for women, I do respect women. "The worst has been from Women's Aid. "I know myself and the girls on the show too, Toni said she knows I'm not a bad person, just went about situations in the wrong way, but the Women's Aid statement wasn't nice... it's not nice coming out of the villa to my mum upset by that so I would say that's been the hardest.' Meanwhile, Miami-based Harrison recently revealed why he and Lauren haven't made things official in the outside world. 6 6 6
