'We're honoured to play Latitude,' say Suffolk and Norfolk acts
Lottie Gray from Gorleston, Norfolk, started writing songs aged eight and considers Latitude her local festival. "I am so excited to be at Latitude because I have always wanted to play at Latitude and I am lucky enough to have been given the opportunity," the 21-year-old told the BBC."My whole family is going to come and watch. It's amazing and a big milestone for me. I can't wait."Expect upbeat, fun pop songs mixed with moody folky stuff, good songwriting and a great band."
Singer Arthur Black, who is from Lowestoft, Suffolk, but based in Norwich, said she was "honoured" to be performing at the festival. "It is so exciting and there will be lots of emotion," she said."Our performances are quite open and raw and we are a bit rocky at times, too, so you can get your boogie on."It is super-special and quite surreal and I am really looking forward to it. It's such a great community [at Latitude] and going back to reality is strange."
'It's so important'
Chest, a '90s grunge-inspired band from Norwich, thanked BBC Introducing for the impact it has had on the group's success so far."If it wasn't for BBC Introducing I don't think we would have got half the opportunities we have," said the group's guitarist, Stan. "It's so nice to come to a festival that is on such beautiful grounds and there's so much nice water around here."So, I am looking forward to getting in that when we get here - a pre-show dip."
Grime and hip-hop artist Pozzy, from Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, said he was shocked when he was asked to take his blend of "raw, relatable lyricism and energy" to the event. Describing his reaction, he previously told BBC Introducing it was: "'"No way? Thank you so much."'That'll be sick; that'll be amazing. Let's do it.'"This year's event, run by Festival Republic, is expected to attract as many as 45,000 music fans.

Tens of thousands of music fans are descending on Suffolk as the gates to this year's Latitude Festival annual arts and culture event, which was first hosted in 2006, is taking place in its usual location, the grounds of Henham Park, near will be entertained until Monday, with a handful of artists providing an initial soundtrack before big-name acts take to the site's eight stages from if you're heading to the festival this year, here's everything you need to know. Uddingston hairdresser styles stars at TRNSMT
Rainbow Room International creative director Diana Carson joined the backstage salon team ensuring the stars looked their best as they took to the stage at Glasgow Green A leading Uddingston hairdresser once again styled the stars as they took to the stage at the TRNSMT festival on Glasgow Green. Diana Carson, creative director of Rainbow Room International on Main Street, teamed up with fellow senior staff plus rising-star stylists from across the company to run their backstage pop-up salon in the artists' village. They created a range of cuts and styles fit for the stage on Scotland's hottest weekend of the year, welcoming performers, managers and crews at the busy three-day event with a big-name line-up including 50 Cent, Biffy Clyro, Snow Patrol, Fontaines DC and Amy Macdonald. Diana said: 'I love being part of TRNSMT and soaking up all that festival energy – it's such an inspiring experience. 'This year, there was a real throwback vibe with Oasis-inspired looks like textured crops and soft mod shapes. Bringing those trends back to the salon and adapting them into something our clients in Uddingston can wear every day is always so exciting.' She teamed up with fellow Rainbow Room creative directors from Glasgow, Ayr and Lanarkshire neighbour Jacqueline Curran of the East Kilbride salon for the festival, as well as emerging young talents to run the popular and trend-setting festival salon. Described as 'a long-standing backstage fixture since the festival's inception', it is located beside the performers' dressing rooms and was 'a constant hub of energy throughout the weekend' as stars and their teams queued up for creative styles. The Rainbow Room team said: 'The team delivered expert cuts and styling to withstand the summer heat and humid temperatures, while setting the tone for festival hair trends right at the peak of the season' – including more Oasis-inspired looks and 'disconnected fringes and hair full of lived-in, natural movement.
