Typhoon Danas Forms at South China Sea; Moving Northeastward toward East China Sea
Typhoon Danas, also called Typhoon No. 4, emerged at around 3 a.m. on Saturday at the South China Sea, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency. The typhoon is expected to move northeastward over the sea east of Japan. According to the agency, the central pressure is 996 hectopascals, with a maximum wind speed of 25 meters per second.
