Estate with 1860s' house, pool, tennis court and island up for grabs

A central Victorian estate described as 'the most beautiful place in the world' is ready for a new owner seeking a country lifestyle. Named Elmdale after the century-old elm trees that line its driveway, the 51.8ha property at 468-470 Heathcote-Redesdale Rd, Heathcote, is spread across three titles. The town of Heathcote is about 100km north of Melbourne and 40km from Bendigo. RELATED: Wallan: Saddle up for slice of Robert Holmes à Court's former equestrian stud Real Housewives of Melbourne star Kyla Kirkpatrick selling country escape in Kilmore Luxurious 'Man from Snowy River' Aussie high country equestrian haven hits the market The estate is located in Victoria's shiraz winegrowing country, is surrounded by noted wineries and bordered by Wild Duck Creek. Elmdale's owners of almost three decades, Christine and Bryan Frost, are selling with plans to downsize from their home that features a main house, 1860s-era converted guest cottage and a purpose-built entertainers' pavilion. Ms Frost said that she and her husband have plenty of treasured memories of Elmdale especially the pavilion which includes a full kitchen with double barbecues and two dishwashers, a pizza oven, butler's kitchen, dual decks and outdoor areas with a wood fire and airconditioning. 'Up on the pavilion there is a deck that faces west and we love to sit there and have a Sundowner as the sun goes down,' Ms Frost said. 'We've had many parties here, our wedding reception here – that is a cherished memory.' After getting married in Bali, the couple hosted a reception for about 120 guests under a marquee set up on the property's dressage arena. Other equestrian facilities include stables, paddocks and six sheds, while the outdoor area also boasts an olive grove, large glasshouse, two 200,000L water tanks, a tennis court and five dams. One dam has an island that can be accessed via a small bridge. Twenty-eight years ago, Ms Frost and her husband bought the estate from good friends of theirs after falling in love with its many charms. 'As you drive down the driveway, everyone goes, 'Wow, this is gorgeous,' Ms Frost said. 'There are very, very old elm trees near the house and all the way down the driveway.' The historic stone cottage, now expanded and converted, has two bedrooms, a sitting room, and formal dining room with an open fire place and access to outside. The farmhouse-style kitchen opens to a cellar and meals area. Fireplaces throughout provide the couple's two cats, Yogi Bear and Boo Boo, with multiple places to warm themselves. A newer three-bedroom house near the swimming pool has a large main bedroom with an ensuite and walk-in wardrobe, plus access to the deck. There's a central living space and the two other bedrooms have ensuites, plus there's gas in-floor heating and reverse cycle airconditioning throughout. For Mr and Ms Frost, Elmdale started out as a weekender before it became their main home during the Covid lockdowns. Elmdale is also home to three horses including Ms Frost's thoroughbred Occy, who has won two Victorian Horse of the Year titles and was 2022's National Horse of the Year runner-up. Ms Frost said it would be hard to farewell the property where they have enjoyed many wonderful times with family, friends and their animals, plus the spectacular natural scenery. 'It's the most beautiful place in the world and we'll be sad to say goodbye,' she added. AFL legend Kevin Sheedy stars in the home's online campaign video in which he describes Elmdale as a beautiful address that 'showcases nature at its best'. O'Brien property consultant and auctioneer, John Rombotis, and his colleague Julie Zucha have the listing, which is for sale with a $3m-$3.3m asking range. Mr Rombotis said the estate would suit a family, horse trainer or owner, or a buyer seeking a country property where they could entertain relatives and friends. It would also be a great home for someone wanting to set up a resort-style business in the heart of Victoria's famous shiraz country. And there's cattle-handling facilities for those who'd like to run cattle on the property. 'To actually buy something like that now, with three residences, 128 acres and all the equestrian facilities, it would be $8m to replace,' Mr Rombotis said. The Frosts are taking their cats and horses with them when they move. 'Who's ready?': Aussie tennis star Nick Kyrgios shocks fans by announcing OnlyFans partnership following split from girlfriend

Nick Kyrgios has shocked fans by announcing a new gig with Only Fans TV (OFTV) just months after splitting from his long-term girlfriend. The 30-year-old Aussie tennis player has partnered with streaming platform OnlyFans TV to co-host a new reality series titled Smash City. Joining adult film star Rachel Starr and TV personality Sophie Stonehouse, Kyrgios fronts the four-part show, which pits eight OnlyFans creators against each other in a series of high-stakes pickleball games for a $20,000 prize. "Who's ready to smash?" OFTV captioned the promotional video for the series, which launched on June 13. The former world number 13, who became a part-owner of the Major League Pickleball team Miami Pickleball Club last year, is no stranger to the platform, having signed up to OnlyFans in 2023. "I enjoyed hosting it, and I love competition in general," Kyrgios told Complex in May. "Pickleball for me is very close to tennis, so that instantly caught my interest." As for his own account on the site, the Wimbledon finalist said he values being able to share more of his personal world without venturing into explicit territory. "I think the perception of OnlyFans is slowly changing," he said. "I'm able to share a lot more of my personal life. I always do a lot of tennis content, but there's also things that I do in the gym and in my everyday life. "I'm able to give my fans what they want." The career pivot comes just months after Kyrgios confirmed his split from his girlfriend of four years, influencer Costeen Hatzi, in April. The pair had started dating in 2021 after meeting via Instagram when Hatzi was selling a mirror. Following their breakup, the 25-year-old told the Daily Telegraph on April 8 that "life's been good". "I'm still going on with work and I have a few different brands that I'm working with at the moment," Hatzi said. "I'm grateful to have this life and hopefully keep on going." Around the same time, Kyrgios also announced he would miss Wimbledon for the third consecutive year, due to ongoing injury issues. He hasn't competed at the tournament since losing to Novak Djokovic in the 2022 final. "Just wanted to give everyone a quick update- I've hit a small setback in my recovery and unfortunately won't make it back for grass season this year," he wrote on Instagram in June. "This is just a bump in the road, though, and I'm already working hard to get back stronger than ever." While sidelined from the court, Kyrgios has continued his commentary work, though this year he was snubbed by the BBC for Wimbledon coverage. "It's unfortunate but it's probably their loss more than mine," he told The Guardian on June 21. "When someone's beaten Federer, Nadal, Murray and Djokovic and has incredible insights, it's very strange you wouldn't want that person adding knowledge to tennis fans." Instead, Kyrgios shifted focus to his own YouTube podcast 'Good Trouble with Nick Kyrgios', hosting a live show in London just days before the start of the tournament with Scottish broadcaster Gordon Smart.

'I've got some news': Inspirational Aussie Turia Pitt unveils bold new book Selfish, calling it the book she 'wishes' she had during her darkest days

Inspirational Aussie burns survivor Turia Pitt has unveiled her latest project, a bold new book titled Selfish. The 37-year-old athlete and bestselling author, who lives in Sydney with her husband Michael Hoskin and their two young sons, revealed the news to fans on Wednesday. "I've got some news. I've written a book, and called it SELFISH: how to unlearn the rules that are breaking you," she captioned a video post on Instagram. In the clip, Pitt explained that she deliberately chose the title because she believes the word "Selfish" needs a "serious rebrand". "We are told by the people around us, the people in our lives, by society, by the narratives that we see in the media, that we need to be selfless, that we need to put other people's needs ahead of our own," she said. "And I bought into that narrative. I bought into that myth." Pitt said trying to live by that rule left her feeling frustrated and overwhelmed, until she eventually suffered from a major burnout last year. "This is a book that I really wish I had to help me navigate that time," she said. The motivational speaker added that Selfish contains deeply personal reflections, including stories she's never shared publicly before. "There are stories in this book that I haven't shared with anyone. So I'm a little bit nervous about the book going out into the wild," she said. "If you feel lost, uncertain, or even like you're living life for someone else, I think this is the book for you." Due out in October, Selfish is Pitt's sixth book since surviving the horrific 2011 grassfire that changed her life forever. Then a 25-year-old mining engineer and ultra-marathon runner, Pitt was competing in the Racing the Planet: Kimberley ultramarathon when she and another runner were trapped in an out-of-control blaze. She suffered burns to 65 per cent of her body, was placed in a medically-induced coma, lost seven fingers, and underwent more than 200 medical procedures. Her recovery took two years. Her debut memoir, Everything to Live For (2013), told the story of her life before and after the fire. A follow-up, Unmasked, was released in 2015 and included a Young Adult edition. Pitt has since released a number of other books, including Good Selfie, a self-confidence guide for teens, Happy (and other ridiculous aspirations), and even a children's picture book, titled Koko and the Coconut. Fans have already flooded social media with support for Selfish. "I love that you called it Selfish! You're right we all need to look after ourselves first," one follower wrote. "I am not a book reader, but this one Turia- will definitely be in my hands and won't want to put it down. "I am sure it will be beyond inspirational and authentic. Congratulations," added another.
