Field teams ensure smooth departures of pilgrims from Prince Mohammed Airport in Madinah
MADINAH — Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah is witnessing a hectic activity with a busy schedule of flights. The airport operates 24/7 with flights leaving to various destinations around the world carrying pilgrims leaving to their home countries after completing the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
Field teams exert strenuous to ensure pilgrims arrive at designated airport lounges well in advance of their departure time to avoid flight delays.
This allows them to complete baggage inspection, transportation, packaging, and shipping services, as well as complete departure procedures with ease and comfort. This is done in full coordination between relevant authorities and under the supervision of the Permanent Committee for Hajj, Umrah and Visitation in the Emirate, ensuring the smooth flow of pilgrims leaving the country.

This year's edition is expected to accommodate 300,000 visitors, with strict planning in place to ensure a high-quality, safe journey. By 2030, the project aims to welcome 5 million visitors annually. To facilitate smooth and secure movement across the rugged Hijrah terrain, Alalshikh announced the deployment of specially designed 4x4 transport buses. These will enhance accessibility while ensuring comfort for all participants. He also revealed a breakthrough in reaching Ghar Thawr (Cave of Thawr), a key Hijrah landmark, reducing the typically strenuous two-hour hike to just three minutes using advanced transportation technology, making the once-challenging site easily accessible for all visitors. 'On His Path' is one of the General Entertainment Authority's most ambitious experiential projects. It brings the story of the Prophet Muhammad's migration from Makkah to Madinah to life using cutting-edge technology, immersive storytelling, and historical accuracy. The initiative aims to deepen public understanding of the profound spiritual and human values embedded in the Hijrah, while making this pivotal moment in Islamic history more accessible to both domestic and international audiences.

Saudi Arabia extends exit deadline for visit visa holders by 30 days

The new 30-day window will begin on the 1st of Safar, 1447 AH, and is conditional on the payment of applicable fees and fines as stipulated by Saudi regulations. According to the statement, eligible individuals can benefit from this initiative by submitting a request through the 'Tawasul' service available on the Ministry of Interior's digital platform 'Absher.' The directorate urged all visitors to take advantage of the extended period within the specified timeframe to ensure legal departure from the Kingdom and avoid further penalties. Tourism Ministry intensifies inspections across summer destinations, records 170 violations
Saudi Gazette report JEDDAH — The Ministry of Tourism has stepped up its regulatory oversight of tourism activity providers across various summer destinations in cities and regions throughout the Kingdom, carrying out approximately 2,750 inspection visits over the past month. These inspections resulted in the detection of around 170 violations, as part of the Ministry's efforts to ensure that all providers of tourism-related activities are properly licensed in accordance with the Tourism Law. The campaign aims to protect the rights of tourists and visitors — both domestic and international — during the peak of Saudi Arabia's summer tourism season. In the Asir region alone, the Ministry's inspection teams conducted more than 420 visits, uncovering over 25 violations. In Taif, more than 360 inspections were carried out, resulting in about 25 violations. Meanwhile, in Jeddah, over 1,680 inspections were conducted, revealing more than 110 violations. In Al-Baha, more than 280 inspections led to the discovery of five violations. The Ministry stressed that all tourism activity providers — including travel agencies, tourism consultancies, and event organizers — must adhere to the provisions of the Tourism Law and its regulations to safeguard the interests of tourists. It also urged the public to report any complaints or service-related issues by contacting the unified tourism center at 930.
