Jessa Duggar Seewald is addressing the 'rude' comments she's received since announcing that she and her husband, Ben Seewald, are expecting their sixth child.
The 19 Kids And Counting alum says she's been met with criticism and concern about the size of her growing family.
'Honestly, I have heard a lot of rude and unnecessary comments but generally those like, 'Oh you're breeding like rabbits' … or 'Are you trying to follow in your mum's footsteps? Are you going to have 19?'' she said in a YouTube video on May 8.
While Seewald said she's 'not going to have 19 kids,' she hailed her mum, Michelle Duggar, as her 'hero' and 'role model.'
'Her patience, her love, her gentleness, her kind speech … She is the golden example of a mother in my opinion,' Seewald said. 'So, when people say, 'Do you want to be like your mother?' I'm like, 'Yes please, Lord help me.''
The 37-year-old admitted that she and her husband have never settled on a specific number of children, but said they have no plans on having more.
'We weren't really at a place when we got married thinking, 'Oh we'll just have one or two,'' she explained. 'We were kind of maybe somewhere in the middle range. I think we had thrown out the number seven or something like that.'
Despite the backlash, the soon-to-be mother of six says she's focused on her health and making sure each child is taken care of.
'We just take it one at a time,' she said. 'I always say in pregnancy or the early postpartum phase, I'm not really in a place to make a decision whether we're going to have another (child) or we're done.
"And Ben's concern is always, first of all, my health. And then also our capacity to care for each one and love them well and help raise them up into adulthood.'
The couple announced in March they were expecting once again, posting photos on Instagram of the sonograms paired with the caption, 'Halfway to holding you in our arms!' – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service

Question about life drives singer to tears

Compiled by FAZLEENA AZIZ, C. ARUNO and R. ARAVINTHAN SINGER Hafiz Suip could not hold back his tears when asked by fans whether he was happy with his current life, Berita Harian reported. The 35-year-old cried when the question was asked in a video sharing titled Episode 1 Behind Me – Hafiz Suip on Instagram on July 19. 'I am grateful for His blessings. I am happy and trying to make peace with life. 'I don't want to play the blame game; that's what will complicate things. So, when you have acceptance, you will find happiness,' he said while wiping away tears. On Friday, Hafiz uploaded a photo accompanied by the date 1.11.2025, signalling that there will be a special performance or concert. In the same video post, Hafiz, a two-time Anugerah Juara Lagu winner, said he has not put an end to his singing career. 'This is all that I have. With the support of my fans, I will still be in this industry,' he said. He also admitted that being away from his children, as well as the negative comments from the public, was the saddest time of his life. Earlier this year, Hafiz admitted that his nine-year marriage with Nureffy Jasreel Abdullah became rocky. The couple are said to no longer live together and are in the process of divorce. > The Negri Sembilan Wildlife and National Parks Department is monitoring two locations in Kuala Pilah and Jelebu after a tapir was captured on video, Sinar Harian reported. Its director Faizal Izham Pikri said there were no forest reserves near the two locations, but the presence of bushland gave the tapir room to move. He said regular monitoring was carried out to ensure the safety of residents and wildlife. On Friday, two separate photos and videos of wild tapirs shared by social media users went viral. So far, the department has received six complaints regarding tapirs roaming around and damaging crops in the area, he said. Blackpink makes history as first K-pop group to top Spotify's global weekly chart twice

- Photo: YG Entertainment. SEOUL: Blackpink has made K-pop history once again, becoming the first K-pop group to top Spotify's Global Weekly Top Songs chart twice, with their latest single "Jump" reinforcing the quartet's status as a global pop powerhouse. According to YG Entertainment on Saturday, 'Jump' reached No. 1 on the global weekly chart dated Thursday (July 17), following their previous chart-topper 'Shut Down' from their 2022 studio album 'Born Pink.' Blackpink now holds the record for both the first and the most No. 1 entries on the chart by any K-pop group. The song's streaming performance was equally notable. 'Jump' garnered 44,759,923 streams in just one week — the biggest debut for any track released in 2025 so far. A week earlier, the group set a new milestone by becoming the K-pop act with the most No. 1 songs on the chart, holding the top position for six consecutive days. Blackpink's success is not limited to Spotify. On the UK Official Singles Chart released Friday, 'Jump' debuted at No. 18 — the group's highest ranking to date and their ninth overall appearance on the chart. The song's music video, released on July 11, also made a powerful impact online. It was the most-viewed YouTube video worldwide within 24 hours of release and has topped YouTube's Global Daily Top Music Videos chart for seven consecutive days. Meanwhile, Blackpink is currently on their 'Blackpink World Tour,' which spans 16 cities and 31 shows. After opening in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, and performing in Los Angeles, the group is set to take the stage in stadiums across Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan, Singapore, Tokyo and Hong Kong. - The Korea Herald/ANN
