Toddler accidentally gets locked inside foruth-floor home, rescued
The child was reportedly playing outside the house after which he went inside and accidently locked the main door, leaving himself trapped for nearly two hours, informed his father Manish Jambhulkar.
The main door of the house is digitally controlled, however, it has an extra safety latch inside which the toddler twisted and got locked.
Jambhulkar, who was outside the house along with the toddler's grandmother, immediately contacted the fire department. He was deeply concerned for the child's safety, especially since their fourth-floor home had access to a balcony which the toddler could have wandered towards.
With no other option, the fire department had to break open the main door to rescue the child. Fortunately, the toddler was unharmed. The family incurred a loss of around Rs.15,000 due to the damage caused to the digitally operated door during the rescue.

Jharkhand liquor scam: After arrest of businessman, Opp demands cancellation of ambulance tender process
The Opposition parties in Maharashtra have demanded the cancellation of a multi-thousand crore ambulance tender process after the arrest of Amit Salunkhe — one of the contractors in the project — by Jharkhand police in the Jharkhand liquor scam. 'The director of Sumeet Facilities has been arrested by Jharkhand police. We have been alleging for over a year that he is a part of over Rs 6,000-crore ambulance scam in the state. We raised the issue multiple times but the government neglected it. We will surely bring out more evidence, but as of now, it is important that the tender is stayed,' said NCP-SP MLA Rohit Pawar. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Friday accused the Maharashtra government of committing an 'ambulance scam' of Rs 800 crore, and claimed the money involved was diverted to a foundation run by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde, a charge rejected by the ruling party. Raut said a tender was floated by the state government for procurement of ambulances and its contract was awarded to a firm run by a close aide of Shrikant Shinde, son of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. 'The probe will bring out how much money has gone to a certain foundation for the election. It is clear that the present Maharashtra government needs clean up,' said Raut. Earlier this week, Salunkhe was arrested by Jharkhand police in an alleged Jharkhand liquor scam. Salunkhe is an 11th arrest in this case and he is said to be close to Chhattisgarh businessman Siddharth Singhania, who is already under arrest. In Maharashtra, Sumeet Facilities was given a tender to run ambulances (108 helpline) for the next 10 years along with BVG group. The tender was issued in the previous state government led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and the Public Health minister was Tanaji Sawant. The Opposition had then alleged that the tender was issued at triple rates and extended undue benefits to the contractors. However, state Industries Minister and Shiv Sena leader Uday Samant rejected the allegations levelled by Raut. 'The charges have no basis. Shrikant Shinde has proved his worth as a part of the (Operation Sindoor) delegation (to countries which was led by several MPs including Shrikant Shinde). Maharashtra's people will not attach any value to such allegations,' the minister said.

145 bank accounts held by 10 companies serve as mule accounts to park, rotate cyber crime money
BHOPAL: Around 145 bank accounts held by ten companies registered in India are under scanner for allegedly being used by fraudsters to park and rotate money generated from investment frauds, cybercrimes and digital arrest. Ongoing investigations into a major forex trade investment fraud racket (having international links), which was busted by the Madhya Pradesh Police's Special Task Force (MPSTF) a few months back, led the sleuths to identify 145 bank accounts across the country. The accounts were being held and operated by at least ten companies registered in different parts of India. Transactions worth a whopping Rs 3200 crore were detected in those 145 accounts over the last eight-nine months, out of which around Rs 180 crore have been frozen/put on hold, as that sum is related to forex trade investment fraud case being probed by the MPSTF. Continued investigations into the 145 accounts led to another startling revelation – at least 14 of those accounts had been used by cyber-fraudsters to park the proceeds of their crime in the same accounts. The alleged cyber-crimes whose proceeds parked in 14 out of the 145 bank accounts (under MPSTF's scanner) have come to light following 262 complaints made by cyber, job and investment fraud victims to police establishments of different states as well as the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs over the last few months.

Bihar: Gang arrested for cheating in the name of govt scheme, property worth crores recovered
Chapra: In a major crackdown, Jalalpur police in Bihar's Chapra on Friday arrested two individuals involved in a gang accused of cheating people under the guise of a government scheme. The gang allegedly defrauded women by posing as members of an NGO and promising benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The arrests were made following a tip-off that during photo collection for the housing scheme, women were being asked to remove their jewellery, raising suspicions. Acting swiftly, Jalalpur police raided a village in the area and detained two suspects for questioning. During interrogation, the accused - who are siblings - confessed to being part of a cheating and fraud gang. They revealed that they impersonated NGO workers and lured women by promising approval of PMAY benefits and loans. Under the pretext of taking their photographs to verify their poverty status, they convinced the victims to remove their jewellery. Once they got an opportunity, they fled with the valuables. The duo admitted to committing similar crimes in multiple police station jurisdictions, including: Jalalpur Police Station (Case No. 67/25 and 101/25), Avatarnagar Police Station (Case No. 130/25), Madhaura Police Station (Case No. 489/25), and Gadkha Police Station (Case No. 411/28). Following this confession, a special police team was formed, leading to a series of raids. The operation resulted in the recovery of 808.31 grams of gold jewellery, 1060.10 grams of silver jewellery, and Rs 53.30 lakh in cash - assets accumulated through their criminal activities. All seized property falls under the category of illegal assets acquired through criminal activity and is subject to confiscation under Section 107 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). The court has taken cognisance, and proceedings for confiscation have begun. The accused, Rakesh Kumar and Mukesh Kumar, sons of Shivnath Ram, and residents of Nakash Chowk, Vaishali district, have been formally arrested, and further legal action is underway. Senior Superintendent of Police, Saran, Kumar Ashish, praised the investigation team and confirmed they would be rewarded for their efforts. He also appealed to the public: "I urge all mothers, sisters, and citizens to remain cautious. Do not fall into the trap of such gangs. If you encounter such individuals, immediately inform the local police or dial 112. Stay alert, stay safe."
