People of Tamil Nadu will defeat Sangh Parivar politics, says VCK chief Thirumavalavan

MADURAI: People of Tamil Nadu will defeat the politics of religion which is practised by Sangh Parivar in northern states, VCK chief Thol Thirumavalavan said. Speaking after taking part in a human chain protest organised by the Madurai Federation for Religious Harmony on Thursday to oppose the Murugan Maanadu,
Thirumavalvan said through the protest, people of TN are conveying to the world that they are against religious politics.
'In northern states Sangh Parivar used religious politics to divide people. They are testing the same in Tamil Nadu. Since 1992, after the Babri Masjid issue, Sangh Parivar has been trying to rake up a controversy in Thiruparankundram and spread hatred against Muslims,' he said.
'BJP leaders like H Raja have made statements that they will convert Tamil Nadu into Ayodhya. But people of Tamil Nadu will never allow it, ' Thiruma said.
He added 'Now they are making another attempt to woo Mukulathur community by organising the Murugan Maanadu. They will not succeed. We are not against the programme but are worried it will be used by Sangh outfits to unleash violence and destroy brotherhood among people.'

After Bangladesh, ISI eyes Nepal as next frontier for anti-India operations

New Delhi: After making Bangladesh its playground, the ISI is now exploring Nepal and proposes to make it another front against India. There has been a sustained effort to increase the number of Pakistanis living in Nepal, and the larger plan is to convert them into assets who would in turn carry out terror strikes against India. A report in a local vernacular newspaper, Purbokone, said that an organisation called Alhaj Shamshul Haque Foundation, also known as the Ash Foundation, laid the foundation stone for a Mosque in Nepal in the Inarawa area near Biratnagar of the Sunsari district. Called the Razzak Mosque, the foundation describes it as a religious hub for the local Muslim population. The groundbreaking ceremony was led by Chairman of the Ash Foundation, Engineer Muhammad Nasir Uddin, on July 18, 2025. During the ceremony, he said that the Mosque would not just serve as a centre for Muslims, but also as a centre for Islamic dawn or proselytisation among the 95 per cent of Nepal's non-Muslim population. 'Razzak Mosque is expected to become a spiritual and communal centre for Muslims in Sunsari, as well as an example of inter-community cooperation and development in Nepal. The foundation is committed to supporting religious and educational infrastructure for underserved communities across South Asia,' the Ash Foundation said in a statement. The Indian agencies suspect that the ISI is backing this initiative covertly. The initiative is also said to have the backing of some Gulf nations and Turkey. In the long run, the Mosque could not just serve as a religious centre, but also as a logistics hub for the ISI-backed terror groups. The Ash Foundation was formally launched in 2018 and registered as an NGO in Bangladesh in 2022. Prior to this, the foundation had operated as a joint stock company. However, on July 18, the foundation gave a public call for donations to fund the construction of the Mosque and also to expand similar projects in Nepal and other neighbouring nations. After the Sheikh Hasina regime in Bangladesh fell, the ISI has pounced on the opportunity to set up its playgrounds in countries bordering India. The Jamaat-e-Islami-backed Muhammad Yunus government has given Pakistan a free hand to operate in Bangladesh. The ISI, which has set up several training facilities in Bangladesh, is attempting something similar in Nepal as transnational Jihadist expansion plan. Nepal is a Hindu-majority country and has never witnessed any sort of religious terrorism or radicalisation programmes. Nepal has been used as a transit point by the ISI to send terrorists into India. There have been reports that in 2023, terror outfits such as Al Qaeda have been attempting to set up training camps in Nepal. Terror groups have also used Nepal as a sanctuary to evade scrutiny by various Intelligence agencies. However, the recent developments are worrying, and a clear attempt is being made to demographically change Nepal. Indian Intelligence agencies worry that such centres could be used to propagate extremism. Further, it could also be a strategy to disturb the majority community in Nepal. It is similar to what the ISI has been trying in the northeastern states and parts of West Bengal, an Intelligence Bureau official said. The idea has been to infiltrate as many immigrants as possible and make sure that the majority becomes a minority. In Nepal, the ISI has been following what several terror groups have done in parts of Africa and Southeast Asia. Mosques and Islamic cultural centres have been set up, and these have operated as Intelligence gathering, radical brainwashing and recruitment units. The agencies worry that a similar project is underway in Nepal, and if not curbed at the earliest, then this could go on to become a major issue. Clearly, an attempt is being made to undermine a Hindu majority nation with a larger plan of fostering armed conflict and total unrest.

BJP will allocate maximum seats to BCs in local polls: Ramchander Rao

Criticising the current reservation system, Rao pointed out that in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), 35 of 52 councillor seats reserved for BCs (under the BC-E category) were allocated to Muslims, depriving traditional BC groups like Yadavas and Gouds. He urged the OBC community to rally behind the BJP in the forthcoming local body and Assembly elections to bring the party to power. He will visit Khammam, Bhadradri and Mahbubabad districts on Tuesday and Wednesday to prepare the party cadre for the local body polls. Raja Singh dismisses rumours of return to BJP Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh on Monday dismissed reports that he is trying to return to the BJP and that Union Home Minister Amit Shah discussed this with him over phone as rumours. He alleged that some party leaders were behaving like 'doras' (feudal lords) and carrying out false propaganda. The MLA had recently resigned from the BJP in protest against the leadership's alleged refusal to allow him to contest for the post of state party president. Raja Singh threatened to bring to the notice of the national leaders the state of affairs in the Telangana BJP. He was of the view that newly appointed BJP Telangana president N Ramchander Rao is a good writer but lacks leadership qualities to take the party to power in the state.

VCs draw flak for attending Gyan Sabha conclave

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State ministers have lashed out against university vice chancellors for participating in the Gyan Sabha, which was attended by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. 'Our educational institutions have students from different communities, and it is impossible to let those spaces become preparation yards to build Hindu Rashtra,' Higher Education Minister R Bindu stated in a release. Citing that working towards the RSS agenda will saffronise and destroy the reputation of the position of vice chancellors, she said that the participating officers will have to keep their heads down before the academic society. Adding that the Sangh Parivar has turned against Kerala, she mentioned that the outfit is trying to tie the state to the Brahminical values. 'Sangh is trying to create an ideological atmosphere in universities and higher education centres that will aid them to build a religious nation- based on Manu's scriptures,' she stated. Education Minister V Sivankutty said that the governor is using his powers to and forcefully make the vice-chancellors participate in these events. 'I am disappointed to say that the governor has become the biggest spokesperson of the RSS in Kerala today,' he said. He opined that if the government representatives attended the programme without its permission, they should be removed. 'Kerala's citizens don't wish to keep the people who attend RSS programmes in these posts,' he said. Tourism Minister P A Mohammed Riyas said that the BJP is making active efforts to make universities in non-BJP-ruled states the centres for discord. LSG Minister M B Rajesh called the move 'not expected from vice chancellors', KPCC president Sunny Joseph too condemned the act.
