Leipzig held 0-0 in Augsburg in Bundesliga
RB Leipzig were held 0-0 at Augsburg in the Bundesliga on Friday and risk losing their place in the top four.
Substitute Kosta Nedeljkovic headed against the crossbar for Leipzig in stoppage time after earlier chances from Lukas Klostermann in the 47th and Lutsharel Geertruida early on.
Frank Onyeka came closest for the hosts in the 81st minute in a match of few chances.
Leipzig are fourth with just one win from their last six league matches but can be overtaken by VfB Stuttgart if they beat Wolfsburg on Saturday. Augsburg are unbeaten in six matches and 12th.
"It was difficult. We weren't dangerous enough and it is a deserved draw in the end. We did well at the back. But we must find this lightness up front and then we will score goals again," Leipzig goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi told streaming portal DAZN.
Matchday 22 continues on the weekend and is highlighted by a table topper on Saturday between champions Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich, who are eight points ahead of them at the top.

Gittens set for Chelsea move after Moukoko also leaves Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund's Jamie Gittens celebrates his side's first goal of the game during the German Bundesliga soccer match between Borussia Moenchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund at Borussia-Park stadium. Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has dismissed speculation that he met with Bayern Munich board member for sports Max Eberl over a potential sale of Dortmund forward Jamie Gittens to the Bundesliga champions. Federico Gambarini/dpa Winger Jamie Gittens is set to join Chelsea after an agreement in principle has been reached with his current club Borussia Dortmund. The Bundesliga side confirmed the news on Saturday at their Club World Cup camp in Florida. Advertisement Gittens, 23, was already on his way to tournament quarters of Chelsea, who were playing a last 16 match against Benfica later in the day in Charlotte, North Carolina. Chelsea had initially aimed to sign Gittens before the start of the Club World Cup but reportedly did not meet Dortmund's demand of an estimated €65 million ($76 million). The fee the clubs have now agreed upon was not given by Dortmund. Gittens, who did not feature for Dortmund in the US due to illness, is reportedly to receive a contract until 2032 at the Blues. Dortmund had earlier Saturday announced the sale of forward Youssoufa Moukoko to Copenhagen for a reported €5 million. Advertisement "It's not easy to say goodbye to a club like Dortmund, because this club, my team-mates, coaches and the great fans will always mean a lot to me," Moukoko said. Moukoko joined Dortmund's academy at age 11. In 2020, at the age of 16, he became the youngest player to play a Bundesliga game and score a league goal. Last season, he played at Nice on loan. "Unfortunately, his development has recently stalled. I'm sure everyone involved would have liked it to be different," sporting director Sebastian Kehl said.

Jarell Quansah's Bayer Leverkusen medical set for Monday
Fabrizio Romano reports that Jarell Quansah's long awaited move to Bayer Leverkusen should be completed early next week. The 22-year-old is due in Leverkusen for a medical on Monday. Quansah will then be officially unveiled by his new Bundesliga club. The news on the scheduled medical isn't particularly surprising. It remained common knowledge that Quansah would head to Westphalia after the conclusion of England's participation in the UEFA U21 Euros. Quansah and the English U21s are set to face the German U21s in the Final this evening. Advertisement Regarding the final package that has been negotiated, Romano sticks to his originally quoted figures of a €35 base-transfer-fee plus €6m in performance-related add ons. Romano does have some new news to report on Liverpool's rumored buyback clause. Per the Italian transfer expert, the Premier League champions can re-capture Quansah for a fee of around €70m. If Quansah meets certain performance metrics, however, he can cost the Reds upwards of €82m. GGFN | Peter Weis

FC Heidenheim at Ursapharm-Arena an der Kaiserlinde. Augsburg have signed midfielder Robin Fellhauer who will play in the Bundesliga for the first time in his career after narrowly missing promotion with Elversberg last season. Silas Schüller/DEFODI Images/dpa Augsburg have signed midfielder Robin Fellhauer who will play in the Bundesliga for the first time in his career after narrowly missing promotion with Elversberg last season. Augsburg said that the 27-year-old Fellhauer has signed a four-year contract until 2029. No financial details were given. Advertisement Fellhauer was a key player and captain at Elversberg, where he played for almost six years. In May they lost a promotion/relegation play-off tie against Heidenheim after coming third in the second division. The former German junior teams international can play in midfield but also as full back and centre back, which gives new Augsburg coach Sandro Wagner several options. 'Robin fits our profile perfectly. He's hard-working and strong in the challenge. He's flexible and also brings quality going forward," Augsburg CEO Michael Ströll said, naming Fellhauer "one of the best players in last season's second division.' Fellhauer said: 'My number one aim has always been to play in the Bundesliga. It's huge for me to have been able to fulfil this dream. I'm looking forward to this new challenge at an established Bundesliga side.
