Moeneeb Josephs Criticises Thabiso Monyane and Paseka Mako for Joining Kaizer Chiefs
Earlier this week, Orlando Pirates legend Moeneeb Josephs has slammed two Buccaneers players for making the switch to arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs.
Thabiso Monyane and Paseka Mako both had their contracts run out at Pirates, and have reportedly made the move down the road to Naturena.
Pirates finished last season in second position, as Mamelodi Sundowns won their eighth league title in a row and were crowned Betway Premiership champions.
Chiefs, meanwhile, finished their second successive season outside the top eight as they ended their campaign in ninth.
'The boys these days go where there's money. I wanted to make a video the other day and say thanks to the boys for everything, but I saw where they went [Chiefs],' Josephs said on Soccer Beat.
'I mean, these boys don't have ambitions after crossing the road like that. The team on the yellow side will be posting our players. There's no loyalty in this game anymore and pride for the badge anymore.'
On Monday, Pirates also made the shock announcement that they had appointed Abdeslam Ouaddou as the new head coach of the club.
Speculation had been rife as to who would take over the coaching role after José Riveiro did not renew his contract at the end of last season. Former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena had been widely tipped for the position.
