One thing Amazon Prime Day shoppers must do to get the best deals

North Wales Live7 hours ago
Amazon Prime Day is set to commence next week, but there's one thing shoppers need to do before the global shopping event kicks off on July 8. The sales bonanza will see thousands of products discounted until the event concludes on July 11, however these deals are exclusively for Amazon Prime Members.
This includes those with Amazon Prime monthly, annual and free trial memberships, Prime for Students, and Amazon Family. Shoppers who aren't yet Prime members can sign up for a free 30-day Prime Trial here to ensure they can participate in the four-day sale.
Customers who aren't Prime members can still purchase Amazon products throughout next week, but they'll have to pay the standard retail prices. Prime Video members must upgrade to a full Prime membership before they can take advantage of the deals.
As reported by the Mirror, Prime members not only get exclusive deals during Prime week, but they can also bag great discounts all year round. Members can also enjoy free next day delivery on a variety of products, plus they have access to Prime Video and Music.
Shoppers with a Prime membership can also set up app notifications to ensure they don't miss out on deals on products they have recently searched for. Members can also set up a Wish List containing their must-have items, and if they go on sale, they will be the first to know.
That's not all, as Amazon's AI shopping assistant, Rufus, is on hand to help. This handy bot helps members shop smarter and plan better by providing product details, expert advice, and personalised suggestions.
Amazon isn't the only retailer currently offering deals via a sale, with Debenhams' blue cross sale offering up to 75% off on garden, home and fashion items. Dunelm is offering a massive clearance sale that includes discounts on bedding, curtains, and various homeware items, plus some garden furniture.
Although this year's summer Prime Day sale is yet to kick off, there are already some fantastic offers available. Amidst the recent UK heatwaves, consumers may find relief with the Shark FlexBreeze HydroGo Portable Fan now available for £99, down from £129.99.
This gadget features an airflow range of 20 metres and can be used indoors or outdoors in several colour options. An Amazon customer praised the fan, saying: "Lightweight, powerful, the misting function works better than expected. Sleep easily with it on speed setting three - quiet running. Like that it's handheld and runs on a battery. Well worth the money."
However, they also expressed disappointment: "Only disappointment was the fact I paid £129.99 and then the next day Amazon reduced the price to £99.99. I was tempted to send this one back and reorder it to save £30."
Another impressive discount on Amazon is the £100 off the Samsung Galaxy S10 FE Android Tablet, now priced at £399, which boasts a 10.9-inch display, 128GB storage, 8GB memory, and includes an S Pen.
One buyer was disappointed with the preinstalled software on their new tablet, remarking: "I really don't like a lot of the software already installed on it."
Yet another purchaser is overjoyed with their gadget, sharing: "It's fast and the screen is very clear. I'm a huge fan of Samsung products and I am thrilled with this tablet."
The Tefal Easy Fry Dual Zone Digital Air Fryer is the latest item Amazon has slashed in price. For a brief period, savvy shoppers can get their hands on the 8.3L air fryer for £99.99, down from the standard £179.99.
This kitchen gadget offers multiple settings such as roast, bake, and dehydrate. Users have the flexibility to operate both the large and small baskets simultaneously or separately.
However, one consumer was not pleased with the air fryer's 'very loud beeping' and thought it was 'not user friendly', contrasting with a delighted buyer who left a five-star review and stated: "Incredible value for money compared to alternatives.
"Very even cooking, high heat, great crispiness and extremely convenient. The two different drawer sizes are great and add up to a considerable amount. The sync and flip reminder features are great too."

Philips flexi draw air fryer that makes food 'ridiculously crispy' drops from £160 to £90

'This Philips dual basket air fryer has been a total game-changer in our kitchen.' When trying to knock up a family dinner, an essential item to have in the kitchen is an air fryer. Allowing you to cook multiple different foods at once at different temperatures, the stress of family cooking will quickly become a breeze. For those who currently don't have an air fryer, buying your first one can be a daunting task as there are so many different brands and sizes on the market. However, now may be the best time to buy as in the lead up to their Prime Day sale, Amazon has knocked the price off some of their must-have items for the home. In the midst of the early sale, the major online retailer has dropped the price of the Philips Dual Basket Airfryer 1000 Series. Normally priced at £159.99, shoppers can now grab the 7.1L air fryer for £89.99 in a limited time deal. With a massive 7.1L capacity, this Philips air fryer is said to be perfect for families as it can cook multiple dishes at once. Additionally, this device is an ideal option for people who meal prep as its versatile functions will save users both time and effort in the kitchen. Equipped with RapidAir Technology, shoppers will be able to enjoy the taste and texture of fried food guilt free as the air fryer can cook your meals with up to 90 per cent less fat, while still keeping them golden and crispy. On top of this, the air fryer comes with 10 cooking functions that will deliver 'consistent results every time'. This air fryer also comes with the added bonus of being a flexi draw. With a removable divider, users can switch between cooking with two drawers at different temperatures to combining all their food into one huge drawer. And for those who struggle to come up with recipes for dinner or are wanting to try and make something new, shoppers will be able to use the Home ID Recipe App to unlock endless recipe ideas and access the cooking controls. Another air fryer included in Amazon's early Prime Day sale is the Tefal Easy Fry Dual Zone Digital Air Fryer. Dropping from £179.99 down to £99.99, this 8.3L air fryer comes with two different sized drawers (5.2L and 3.1L) and eight automatically programmed cooking functions. Alternatively, Argos currently has a deal on the Ninja Foodi 4-ini-1 7.6L Air Fryer. Normally priced at £150, shoppers can get this cooking appliance for cheaper by adding the code ELEC20 at the checkout - dropping the price down to £120. Back to the Philips Air Fryer, it is currently one of Amazon's top choices and boasts a 4.6 star rating from happy shoppers. Many reviewers praised the device for its cooking results, while one shopper dubbed it a 'game-changer' for the kitchen. One delighted shopper said: "A really great quality air fryer but i would expect nothing less from this brand. The air fryer is a nice size and comes with two drawers, it is really easy to clean. Cooks the food well. Happy with this." With a five-star reviewer also adding: "Since entering the world of the airfryer I have not used my main oven. These devices cook food faster, and certain foods like chips, chicken wings, etc. come out ridiculously crispy. The Philips airfryer is a thing of beauty, it is slightly smaller than my Devology and fits nicely on the countertop next to it." However, a few shoppers grumbled over the fact that the air fryer does not come with a physical instruction manual. One person said: "Could do with a basic information leaflet for beginners explaining symbols." With another customer agreeing: "A word of warning to anyone thinking of buying this item. You have to go online for how to use. I managed to register to get my 2yrs guarantee. Couldn't see the very small writing on my I-phone. When did instruction books go out of fashion." Despite this, one top reviewer commented: "I really like the build quality of this and the display makes it easy to use. The size is ideal for a family. It's good too that you can make one bigger drawer. Fair value for money as it's a quality item." With a sixth shopper praising: "This Philips dual basket air fryer has been a total game-changer in our kitchen. From the moment we unboxed it, the build quality felt premium—sturdy, sleek, and just what you'd expect from Philips. "The 7.1L capacity is surprisingly spacious, and the dual baskets make it so easy to cook different things at the same time. No more waiting around while one batch finishes." Olay's ‘anti-wrinkle' cream that's ‘better than high end brands' has 63% off

Amazon has slashed the price of Olay's anti-ageing moisturiser by 63% in an early Prime Day deal and shoppers say it's 'better than high end brands' Amazon Prime Day is on the horizon, and in the lead up the online retailer has been slashing prices on hundreds of products. And one that caught our attention was the amazing discount on Olay's Regenerist Whip Moisturiser. Originally priced at £38, this hydrating face cream is now £14 - that's a huge 63% discount. Whipped face products have been a popular beauty trend over the past few years, with products like Drunk Elephant's Lala Retro Whipped Cream and Bondi Sands' Daydream Whipped Moisturiser around. So what exactly is a whipped moisturiser? It's a cream that's been whipped up to incorporate air, resulting in an ultra-lightweight, fluffy consistency. And that's exactly the texture of Olay's highly rated moisturiser. This anti-wrinkle cream features 99% pure Niacinamide, which helps to promote skin cell renewal and anti-ageing peptides that are proven to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. On top of this, the cream features SPF 30 making it the ideal base for the summertime. Shoppers can't get enough of this cream praising its non-greasy feel, lightweight texture and hydrating results that feel comparable to luxury brands. One reviewer wrote: 'I have always used various Olay products all my adult life and I'm in my 60s. Have tried other brands but always come back to Olay This particular one is very creamy but sinks into the skin quickly and feels light I apply it in the morning and my skin feels moisturised all day. It has a touch of luxury when using it and lasts well' A second added: 'As an older person I have used Olay products for years (since called Ullay) and found them to be value for money especially with spf. I steered away from spending the extra on this but when my skin was looking sallow and make up didn't sit well I decided to give it a go I was nor expecting miracles (I am almost 70!). I saw a difference after a couple of uses my skin felt tighter and hydrated giving back a dewyness.' The main criticism came from shoppers who think the product is too expensive for the amount you receive. A shopper said: 'Bit pricey considering it is whip, meaning there is slightly less actual product than original.' However, that's why the 63% discount is a great opportunity to try the product out before committing to the full price.

Debenhams slashes watch that shopper 'wears instead of Rolex' from £690 to £101

'This watch is a stunner! Much sharper in person than the pictures.' For those looking for a present to give someone for their birthday, graduation or anniversary, a watch is always a solid choice. Provided you know what style the recipient prefers, a timepiece is a stylish and practical gift that will last someone for years to come. While there are many luxury brands on the market, they also come with rather large price tags that many people can't afford outright. Thankfully, Debenhams has slashed the price of thousands of high end timepieces so more people can get the accessory they truly desire. One stunning watch in the sale is the STÜHRLING Original Brigadier Quartz Chronograph 42mm Diver Watch. Normally retailing for £690, shoppers can now grab the eye-catching timepiece for £101.25 after a massive 85 per cent discount. This Brigadier watch is characterised as a modern dive watch featuring a classic design. Powered by an accurate Quartz chronograph movement, this timepiece comes with a handy stopwatch and impressive water resistance of up to 100m - making this watch perfect for everyday wear and underwater challenges. Along with luminous hands and indices to help read the time in poor lighting, the watch also comes with a coin edge bezel with an enhanced grip. Along with its versatile and durable design, the timepiece is finished off with an adjustable stainless steel bracelet. Shoppers have four colourways to choose from, however prices do slightly vary. For those happy with the £101.25 price tag, shoppers can buy the timepiece with a silver bracelet, white dial and either a silver or blue bezel. £690 £101.25 Debenhams Buy Now Product Description However, for the slightly higher price of £104.25, shoppers can either get a two-toned silver and rose gold bracelet or a full gold bracelet. Both of these watches also come with the blue bezel. Another water resistant watch in Debenhams sale is the STÜHRLING Original 4054 Aquatic Force Chronograph Watch, which is currently down to £96.75 (RRP £900). Along with a 10 ATM, this watch boasts a robust design and functional elegance. With three chronograph sub dials, this watch is powered by a Japanese Quartz movement. For those happy to spend a bit more, Ernest Jones has slashed 49 per cent off the Emporio Armani Men's Blue Dial & Gunmetal Stainless Steel Bracelet Watc h. Normally retailing for £389, shoppers can now buy the watch for £195. This watch is said to provide the perfect balance between elegance and contemporary flair. Back to the Brigadier watch, it currently doesn't have any reviews on Debenhams, but shoppers have left plenty on the Stuhrling website. Many reviewers were pleased with the quality of the watch as well as the design. One five-star reviewer said: "I have been thinking about this watch for a while. I loved the look. But what about quality? When I received it I was really impressed. Good quality, great price. It has a real expensive look and feel. Love it." With another adding: "I purchased this watch for my husband. I was hesitant because it's not an automatic but he loves it! He owns two Rolex and a Breitling so for him to wear this watch every day now says a lot! He already wants another! Great purchase!" However, one shopper grumbled: "Great purchase, watch feels and looks great. Only snag is not being able to adjust the oyster bracelet because the screws are too small for my tools." While another shopper wasn't overly impressed with the quality: "This is a nice homage piece, but definitely built down to a price. OK for the discounted price." Despite this, one top reviewer said: "I own many different watches substantially more costly than my Stuhrling watch but none are as good value. It is both attractive and accurate and I will purchase more of these items in the coming months." With a sixth reviewer adding: "This watch is a stunner! Much sharper in person than the pictures. The rich blue really pops against the bright white face. Very impressed with the watch!" To buy the STÜHRLING Original Brigadier Quartz Chronograph 42mm Diver Watch, click HERE.
