Justin Baldoni will continue legal battle with Blake Lively

Perth Now10-06-2025
Justin Baldoni intends to keep going with his legal battle with Blake Lively.
The 41-year-old actor previously launched a $400 million countersuit against his It Ends with Us co-star, her husband Ryan Reynolds, Leslie Sloane - the couple's publicist - and the New York Times newspaper, after she accused her former co-star of causing her "severe emotional distress", but on Monday (09.06.25), Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed his lawsuit.
However, his attorney Bryan Freedman stressed they still have things to fight for and will be amending their complaint.
He told Us Weekly in a statement: 'Ms. Lively and her team's predictable declaration of victory is false, so let us be clear about the latest ruling.
'While the Court dismissed the defamation-related claims, the Court has invited us to amend four out of the seven claims against Ms. Lively, which will showcase additional evidence and refined allegations.
"This case is about false accusations of sexual harassment and retaliation and a nonexistent smear campaign, which Ms. Lively's own team conveniently describes as 'untraceable' because they cannot prove what never happened.'
And the lawyer is "confident" Justin can still win his court battle.
He added: 'Most importantly, Ms. Lively's own claims are no truer today than they were yesterday, and with the facts on our side, we march forward with the same confidence that we had when Ms. Lively and her cohorts initiated this battle and look forward to her forthcoming deposition, which I will be taking. We are grateful for the organic show of support from the public and for the dedication of the Internet sleuth community who continue to cover the case with discernment and integrity.'
Following the judge's ruling, Blake vowed to keep fighting for other women.
She wrote on Instagram: "Last week, I stood proudly alongside 19 organizations united in defending women's rights to speak up for their safety. Like so many others, I've felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit, including the manufactured shame that tries to break us.
"While the suit against me was defeated, so many don't have the resources to fight back.
"I'm more resolved than ever to continue to stand for every woman's right to have a voice in protecting themselves, including their safety, their integrity, their dignity and their story.
"There are protections out there. Check out some of the incredible organizations below for resources and information.
"With love and gratitude for the many who stood by me, many of you I know. Many of you I don't. But I will never stop appreciating or advocating for you.
"- B (sic)"
Blake's post featured links to organisations such as the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women, New York Cyber Abuse Task Force, Women's Equal Justice, and Women's Justice NOW.
Meanwhile, Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb, the Gossip Girl star's attorneys, hailed the judge's ruling as a "complete vindication" for the actress.
They said in a statement obtained by People: "Today's opinion is a total victory and a complete vindication for Blake Lively, along with those that Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer Parties dragged into their retaliatory lawsuit, including Ryan Reynolds, Leslie Sloane and The New York Times."
The attorneys described Justin's countersuit - which was aimed at Blake, her husband Ryan Reynolds, Leslie Sloane, the couple's publicist, and the New York Times newspaper - as a "sham".
They continued: "As we have said from day one, this '$400 million' lawsuit was a sham, and the court saw right through it.
"We look forward to the next round, which is seeking attorneys' fees, treble damages and punitive damages against Baldoni, [Steve] Sarowitz, [Melissa] Nathan and the other Wayfarer Parties who perpetrated this abusive litigation."

Lil Tay claims she made 1m in three hours on OnlyFans

Lil Tay claims she made $1 million within hours of setting up an OnlyFans account. Shortly after turning 18 on July 29, the internet personality launched her own account on the explicit subscription service platform and says the money started flowing in immediately. She posted a screenshot on Instagram of her earnings including $511,003.79 in subscriptions, $26,736.19 in tips and $486,558.11 in messages, adding up to over $1 million in total. She wrote: '$1M in 3 hours. We broke the f*** out of that onlyfans record . Come see content I took of myself at 12:01AM on my 18th BDAY. ONLY AVAILABLE FOR 24hrs.' She also wrote: '$1M IN 3 HOURS. LIL TAY RICH AND FINNA GET RICHER.' Announcing her account on the platform, Lil Tay previously posted a picture of herself wearing a 'pornstar in training' top and wrote: 'I DID IT. LINK IN BIO. ALL CONTENT SHOT @ 12:01AM ON MY 18th BIRTHDAY. Bday special only available for 24 hours. Come talk to me.' Lil Tay – whose real name is Claire Eileen Qi Hope - first found fame at just nine years old when her foulmouthed videos started going viral. She later pivoted to rapping and has worked with stars including Bhad Bhabie, Jake Paul and Diplo. The young star was embroiled in controversy in 2023 when someone posted a false statement on her Instagram account claimed she had died, along with her brother Jason Tian. The statement said: 'It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of our beloved Claire's sudden and tragic passing. We have no words to express the unbearable loss and indescribable pain. This outcome was entirely unexpected, and has left us all in shock. Her brother's passing adds an even more unimaginable depth to our grief. 'During this time of immense sorrow, we kindly ask for privacy as we grieve this overwhelming loss. Claire will forever remain in our hearts, her absence leaving an irreplaceable void that will be felt by all who knew and loved her.' There was confusion as her management appeared to confirm the death to Us Weekly, saying: 'With profound regret, we confirm the accuracy of the statement.' However, just one day later, Tay revealed she was alive and said she was 'trying to sort out this mess'. She told TMZ: 'I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I'm completely heartbroken, and struggling to even find the right words to say. It's been a very traumatizing 24 hours. All day yesterday, I was bombarded with endless heartbreaking and tearful phone calls from loved ones all while trying to sort out this mess.'

Cops called as Denise Richards shows up at Aaron Phypers home

Denise Richards has accused Aaron Phypers of having one of her dogs put to sleep. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star turned up to the home in Calabasas, California where her estranged husband - who she has accused of domestic abuse - lives with his parents and brother on Sunday (03.08.25) in order to get one of her pets, but police were called amid her confrontation with his family. Denise has a restraining order in place which means Aaron can't be within 100 yards of her, and sources told TMZ that when she showed up unannounced and began banging on a back door, he immediately left because he was concerned about the legal measures in place. Aaron's parents eventually let Denise inside, where she is said to have barged in and demanded the dog, screaming at the couple and allegedly "swinging at" the actor's brother and "throwing mail" at him. Police arrived, and though Aaron's family were "very shaken" and "terrified", they ultimately concluded no crime had been committed and no arrests were made, and Denise's attorney insisted she had done nothing wrong. Lawyer Brett Berman told TMZ: "Ms. Richards did not violate a restraining order. "On August 3, 2025, after confirming that Mr. Phypers was not present in her home, Ms. Richards entered the home to retrieve her dogs after learning that Mr. Phypers had put down one of her other dogs without her knowledge or permission.' But Aaron, 52, insisted the statement was "absolutely false". He hit back: "Absolutely false, not true on both accusations. Denise's attorney has consistently struck out in pursuit of the truth. There is a difference between telling the truth and trying to protect your client. "Denise's actions are willfully intentional in the slander and destruction of what is left of a family. This is after Denise chose to carry on an adulterous affair - after being caught not once, not twice, but three times. "Having the title of attorney or being a celebrity does not put you above the law. It does not give you the right to humiliate others for the sake of your interests. Both of these actions have been readily apparent here in the last couple of weeks." Aaron recently denied Denise's allegations against him and insisted she had "physically assaulted" him and destroyed his phone. He told Us Weekly: "I absolutely deny the false allegations that I violated the restraining order or stole Denise's laptop or cell phones. "These claims are not only untrue — they are being weaponised to damage my reputation and distract from the truth. "In reality, Denise took my phone without consent, physically assaulted me when I tried to retrieve it, and later I discovered it smashed and hidden in a black trash bag inside the recycling bin."

Winners, speeches and upsets from this year's Logies

The 2025 Logie Awards are almost underway – and we'll be live blogging all the highlights (and lowlights) right here. Celebs are already walking the red carpet at The Star in Sydney ahead of the awards - check out all the best red carpet fashions here. The awards will culminate with the announcement of this year's Gold Logie winner. That's scheduled to happen by 11:15pm, but based on previous years, we can expect a winner announcement just after midnight. Yes, this award show is so long it often stretches into the next day. This year's Gold Logie nominees are an all-female field – except for one man, Hamish Blake, who has sheepishly admitted he feels like it's a bit of a 'stitch up' to be given the possibility of beating six women to the night's top prize. Blake's also won Gold before, as has fellow nominee Sonia Kruger, while Ally Langdon, Julia Morris, Lisa Millar, Lynne McGranger and Poh Ling Yeow would all be taking out Gold for the first time should any of them win. And it turns out, even Blake's own wife is betting against him... Originally published as Logie Awards 2025: Winners, speeches and upsets from this year's ceremony Zoe praying Hamish doesn't win Nick Bond How's this for support? Zoe Foster Blake shared a pre-Logies snap ahead of her husband Hamish's big night – and publicly wished he doesn't win the Gold tonight. 'I love my darling husband and very proud of his Gold Logie nom. THAT SAID, would also be delighted if one of the six women he's up against win cos it's their turn now and idk three Gold Logies feels like maybe too many?' she asked. Look… she's got a point.
