Inter Miami agree terms with Atletico Madrid star set to follow Angel Correa through exit door

Yahoo6 days ago
Atletico Madrid are close to sealing another exit, after Angel Correa's departure was confirmed on Wednesday. Already five players have left the club, with Reinildo Mandava, Axel Witsel and Cesar Azpilicueta leaving at the end of their contracts.
Correa's exit was an open secret after he bid farewell to the Metropolitano in May, but he was given a hero's welcome in Mexico as he arrived to sign with Tigres. Correa, 30, leaves after a decade at Atletico, scoring 88 goals and giving 58 assists, many of them crucial. Arguably one of the best super-subs in the game, Correa changed countless matches for Diego Simeone, and will be sorely missed by both fans and club. The fee will be around €8m for the Argentina international.
Rodrigo de Paul agrees terms with Inter Miami
Meanwhile Rodrigo de Paul is closing in on a move to Inter Miami, after agreeing terms with the Major League Soccer side, as per Cesar Luis Merlo. He has given the green light for a move provided friend and international teammate Lionel Messi remains there. The suggested fee has been around €15m for Atletico to allow de Paul to leave, and the two clubs are getting closer on a fee too.

Los Colchoneros have already received a formal offer from Inter Miami, and it does appear as if the move is close to being wrapped up.
Samuel Lino and Nahuel Molina to follow?
As per Diario AS though, de Paul might not be the last to exit the club this summer. Atletico are willing to consider offers for a number of players, including Alexander Sorloth and Conor Gallagher, even if they are not for sale.
Closer to an exit are Samuel Lino and Nahuel Molina, explain the Madrid-based daily. Having cut his teeth at Udinese, Molina still has admirers in Serie A, while there is no interest in Lino at the time of writing. Previously he has been linked with a move to the Premier League.

Liverpool's £100m game-changer to help RETAIN the Premier League

Liverpool have spent this summer attempting to level-up Arne Slot's Premier League winning side. Naturally, you would expect there to be little wrong that needs sorting, but in fact, a whole world of upgrades were available to the Reds in the market and the club felt immediate action was required. LFC x New Era Shop Now LFC Signed Merch Shop Now LFC x Titleist Shop Now At left-back, the addition of Milos Kerkez will sure-up the defence massively. He was last season's standout full-back and he will be hugely important to helping Liverpool succeed moving forward. Likewise, the transfer of Jeremie Frimpong solved plenty of issues, not just replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold but also providing Slot with a flexible attacker to help Mohamed Salah. But there has been one addition that stands above the rest and the impact of his arrival hasn't yet been fully comprehended, and it's Florian Wirtz - who will take the team to a whole other level. Liverpool have a generational talent Of course, by just looking at his £100m fee plus £16m in add-ons, you will assume that Wirtz is something special. That financial agreement would break the English transfer record if he succeeds. And if you noticed his time at Leverkusen, then you can understand that he is an extraordinary talent, since he is a former Bundesliga player of the season and he has 119 goal and assists at 22-years-old. But looking at him in Liverpool's pre-season campaign has been something else and the stats really don't do him justice. His 45 minute cameo against AC Milan in pre-season was breathtaking to watch. Countless times he would receive the ball in the pockets, completely composed despite the opposition closing in on him, assessing the field before threading the perfect pass forwards. Statistically, his performance was innocuous with one successful dribble, one inaccurate cross and winning one of his two ground duels, alongside losing possession six times and making 29 passes. But his skill and potential jumped at you through the screen and that was far more impressive to see. Prior to his ACL injury, Rodri at Manchester City was crowned the best player in the world by winning the Ballon d'Or and the main asset in his game was dictating play from deep, with dominant displays. In Wirtz, the Reds have a difference-maker in attack and he's already exceeding fans' expectations. Liverpool haven't ever really struggled to score goals. Last season, 86 were scored in the league - 14 more than any other team - and this was with the struggle Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez in the side. Of course, we now have Hugo Ekitike who will be a threat in the box and it currently feels as though a move for Alexander Isak might also be on the cards, but the Wirtz should still be taking the headlines. Against a low block, the skills he excels at will be paramount to ensuring Liverpool have a reasonable chance of defending their title. With him in the team, Arne Slot 2.0 is a far more dangerous outfit.

Report – Atalanta See Ex Southampton Star As Natural Successor To Inter Milan Target

Atalanta reportedly see Kamaldeen Sulemana as the readymade replacement for Inter Milan target Ademola Lookman. This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. Inter Milan have made Atalanta's Ademola Lookman their priority target. The Nerazzurri made an offer of €40 million for the Nigerian earlier this month. However, Atalanta rejected this initial bid – giving Inter a counteroffer of €50 million. However, that has not deterred Inter. Far from it – they are aiming to return with another offer very soon. (Photo by) Inter Milan are reportedly hoping to wrap things up quickly to sign Lookman. Reportedly, the Nerazzurri will make an improved offer tomorrow. And they want to make it official in the next few days. Meanwhile, the question of Atalanta finding a successor to Lookman could be crucial. Clearly, La Dea would be more open to selling the Nigerian if they have a replacement in mind. And according to the Gazzetta, Atalanta feel that the replacement for Lookman is already in their ranks. The Bergamo club signed forward Kamaldeen Sulemana from Southampton already this summer. And the 23-year-old Ghanian international is a player they're backing to replace Lookman.
