
Keelakarai Municipal Commissioner placed under suspension
With only a few days remaining for the retirement of Keelakarai Municipal Commissioner, the official was placed under suspension by higher authorities.
In a communication from the Regional Director of Municipal Administration P.M.N. Mujibeer Rahumaan dated June 26, 2025, the information regarding the suspension was informed to the commissioner office.
The letter stated that under rule-17(e) of Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1955, Assistant Commissioner R. Renganayake was placed under suspension.
Sources said the action was taken because a few cases were booked against the official when she served in Karaikudi.
