Speaking at the event, he highlighted key resolutions introduced by young leader Nara Lokesh and reaffirmed the party's core principles and future vision. He said HRD Minister N Lokesh is laying golden path for the party future and continuing the fundamental principles laid down by TDP founder-president and former CM NT Rama Rao.
Srinivas said that Lokesh announced six fundamental principles to the party during Mahanadu. He said the TDP is popularising the pride of Telugu people, giving importance and empowering the youth, giving support to farming community, giving priority to women, serving poor and giving top priority to TDP functionaries.
He said former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will meet the same fate like Gali Janardhan Reddy, who was sent to jail for mining scams. He said the TDP had exposed the irregularities of Gali Janardhan Reddy and now it will expose the misdeeds of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Turning to development, Srinivas highlighted TDP's commitment to Kadapa district's progress. He announced that Chandrababu Naidu is planning a steel plant in Kadapa, similar to the one in Visakhapatnam, and that its inauguration is imminent. He recalled Naidu's role in saving the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant twice, bringing in Rs 11,400 crores, and assured that the same dedication would be applied to Kadapa.

1 2 Shimla: A team of the International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA), led by Soumitra Dasgupta, has presented a Rs 3-crore cheque to chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for the conservation and management of the newly notified Tsarap Chu Conservation Reserve in Lahaul and Spiti district, which has a high density of snow leopards. Tsarap Chu was formally notified as India's largest conservation reserve on May 7, covering an area of 1,585 square kilometres. The reserve is located in a strategic trans-Himalayan region, bordering the Union Territory of Ladakh in the north, Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary in the east, Kabjima Nullah in the south, and Chandertal Wildlife Sanctuary and Baralacha Pass in the west. Tsarap Chu Conservation Reserve is located in one of the high-density habitats of the snow leopards in Himachal Pradesh and supports a rich variety of Himalayan and Trans-Himalayan flora and fauna, including species such as Tibetan Wolf, Kiang, Bharal, Ibex, Tibetan Argali, and avifauna like Rose Finches, Tibetan Ravens, and Yellow-billed Choughs. Expressing gratitude for the support, Sukhu said the funds would catalyse early-stage conservation activities such as the preparation of the management plan, the constitution of the conservation reserve management committee, and capacity building of relevant stakeholders.

MSRTC employee union event in Nashik likely to impact bus services
Nashik: The one-day annual convention of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation employees, who are members of the Seva Shakti Sangharsh State Transport Workers' Union, is being held in Nashik on Sunday. The event has led to a significant number of employees from various depots filing leave applications, and this could disrupt bus services, particularly in the Kalwan, Lasalgaon, and Surgana depots. Led by MLA Gopichand Padalkar, the organisation is addressing issues related to unpaid dues to MSRTC employees and other demands, including improved facilities for drivers and conductors who are required to halt at night at various locations before commencing their duties the following day. Balasaheb Avhad, the president of the Nashik unit of the organisation, said, "Govt has promised us dues, but the arrears remain unpaid for the period since 2016. After the 2022 strike, the employees were also promised a Rs 6,500 pay rise, but the arrears were never paid. The organisation will take a stand on it." Referring to a circular stating that drivers and conductors who sign in on muster for the day should be treated as on duty instead of marking 'leave' even if no bus is available, Avhad claimed that employees are kept waiting for six to seven hours before being assigned unscheduled duties and working for eight hours, which he called is an injustice. Avhad further said many employees from each depot in Nashik are working diligently to ensure the convention is memorable for the members. However, the event is likely to impact bus operations in some depots, especially those in Nashik. A senior official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said, "Of the 125 drivers and an equal number of conductors in the Kalwan depot that runs 64 buses daily across 2,400 km, more than 200 employees have filed for leave. It is impossible to relieve all of them, and if they go, the depot operation will be hampered." He added that a similar situation exists in the Lasalgaon, Surgana, and Peth depots, where the number of leave applications is more than 60%. "We are arranging employees from adjacent depots, but even they are facing manpower issues, and the solutions are limited," the official said.

Kolhapur: Aam Aadmi Party staged a protest on Saturday at the Shahu Khasbag Maidan bus stop to condemn the poor quality of road construction by a private contractor appointed by the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC). The project was funded with Rs 100.3 crore under the Maharashtra Rajya Suvarna Jayanti Nagarutthan Yojana scheme. AAP workers, holding a cutout of a premium SUV recently purchased by a city MLA, alleged that almost all roads in the city have deteriorated due to potholes, making them motorable only by premium SUVs. Sandip Desai, AAP's state secretary, said, "If the city MLA approved a fund of Rs 100 crore for road works, then it is also his job to ensure the quality of the works. He travels in luxury cars, so he does not understand the plight of two-wheeler riders, rickshaw pullers, and ordinary Kolhapur residents." Despite the substandard work, officials have paid the contractor a bill of Rs 22 crore. Desai added, "The officials, contractors, consultants, subcontractors, and public representatives are responsible for these poor roads.
