Ever since Brad Pitt's F1 (Formula One) hit the cinemas, social media users are jokingly comparing it with Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji starrer 2007 released movie Ta Ra Rum Pum. While meme pages claim Ta Ra Rum Pum inspired the Hollywood movie, some are heaping praises on the Bollywood sports drama and its music album, tagging the film's director, Siddharth Anand, on social media.
And now, Siddharth Anand himself reacted to the same, amid all the praise and memes on his movie. The filmmaker took to his social media handle, Twitter (now X) and wrote, "TaRaRumPum you lovely beast !"
His tweet came as a surprise to the fans and meme pages. One social media user commented, "Way ahead of its time (with raising hands emoji)." Another user wrote, "Ta Ra Rum Pum is your best-directed film to date, and it truly deserves a sequel. I know you're not particularly fond of directing sequels, but if one ever gets made, no other director can do it justice the way you can. Please do consider it. The audience may have failed the film back in 2007, but this time, we'll make sure that its sequel becomes a blockbuster. (with racing car emoji).' A third user wrote, "kya din aa gaya.... Hollywood wale bollywood film ka copy kar rahe (laughing emoji).'
For the unversed, the Saif Ali Khan starrer follows the story of Rajveer Singh (RV), who is a professional stock car racer. His life and career are turned upside down after an accident. It was Siddharth Aanand's second directorial venture after Salaam Namastey! Bankrolled by Yash Raj Films, the movie was a moderate success at the box office, though it won huge viewership with its satellite viewership.
On the other hand, Brad Pitt 's F1 (Formula One) is storming the global box office these days. The sports drama garnered immense praise for its performances, high-stakes thrill moments, and impressive production value.

Box Office: War 2 Telugu states theatrical rights sold for Rs 90 crore, Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR starrer acquired by Naga Vamsi

War 2 is among the most anticipated movies of 2025. The Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR starrer is seen as a front-runner to emerge as the biggest grosser of the year. While the movie is still 5 weeks away from its release, it is making waves for its historic pre-release business. War 2 locks the biggest deal for dubbed films in the Telugu states Pinkvilla learned that Yash Raj Films has inked a landmark deal with Naga Vamsi's Sithara Entertainments for the distribution rights of War 2. Reportedly, the leading South film production and distribution company has acquired the Telugu rights of War 2 to distribute it across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana at a staggering figure of Rs 90 crore minimum guarantee (MG). Interestingly, this is the biggest deal ever for a dubbed movie in the Telugu states in the history of Indian cinema. It includes theatrical distribution rights for all three versions- Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. War 2 to have a wide release in Telugu states, unlike other dubbed movies Usually, YRF doesn't believe in selling their films outright; however, they are opting for a rare strategy for War 2. The hype around War 2 skyrocketed ever since Jr NTR joined Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani. And since then, multiple leading players from the Southern film industries have approached Aditya Chopra to bag its distribution rights. Eventually, the deal got locked with Sithara Entertainment, following multiple weeks of negotiation. The makers believe that the Naga Vamsi company is the right contender to take War 2 to the grassroots of the Telugu heartland. Reportedly, the Ayan Mukerji directorial will not be treated like a regular dubbed movie, but it will be released in mass pockets across APTS like a true-blue local venture. War 2 to have 5 AM premiere shows across the Telugu states Jr NTR, who is playing Agent Vikram in War 2, is among the biggest stars of Telugu cinema. With Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR facing off against each other, the interest among exhibitors is at peak. The makers are planning to capitalise on the hype and Tarak's superstardom by organising a massive 5 AM premiere show of War 2 across the twin states. For the unversed, War 2 marks the entry of Jr NTR to the YRF Spy Universe, which already has bigwigs like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, and Kiara Advani. Slated to hit the screens on August 14, War 2 is the sixth film in the spy universe, following Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), War (2019), Pathaan (2023), and Tiger 3 (2023). The high-stakes deal between YRF and Sithara Entertainments signifies how a Pan-India movie should be marketed and distributed in the most passionate cinema markets. All eyes are now on the reception of War 2. It will be interesting to see whether the much-awaited movie can live up to the expectations or not. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates.

But, the one thing that everyone was eagerly waiting for was a word of praise from RK's wife, Alia Bhatt. Well, what you were waiting for is here. The actress has shared the video on her social media page, and it's evident from her caption that she is just as speechless as all of us. Alia Bhatt Shared Ramayana Video Taking to her social media handle, Alia Bhatt shared the announcement video. The video has left all of us eagerly waiting for the release of the film. Sharing this video, she wrote, "Some things don't need words. This feels like the start of something unforgettable. Diwali 2026 — we're waiting." Her post has received around 98K likes and some 1K comments. The moment she posted this clip, fans took to the comments section to praise Ranbir Kapoor. In fact, Ravi Dubey, who plays Lakshaman in this magnum opus, too, took to the comments section and posted two folded hands emojis. About Ramayana Announcement Video The 3-minute clip does not show the complete face of any actor from the film, but it gives fans a glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor as Rama and Yash as Raavana. A close-up of the Tamasha star's eyes, and then a scene of him running and climbing a tree, only to release an arrow from his bow, touches everyone's hearts. His body language, the close-up of his face below the nose, is enough to get you excited to see his entire look. Talking about Yash 's first glimpse, with just one of his eyes visible in the frame and the rest covered by a cloth, he has the power to hook us in the moment. That is the magic we are sure Nitesh Tiwari has in store for all of us. Ramayana Release The video, as we have already revealed, mentions the film being divided into two parts. Part 1 will be released on Diwali 2026, and Part 2 will arrive on Diwali 2027. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more such updates.
