EXCLUSIVE Mom who was fiercely slammed for taking seven-year-old daughter to get spray tan claps back at haters

Daily Mail10 hours ago
A mom who was fiercely slammed for letting her seven-year-old daughter get a spray tan has clapped back at the haters.
Noel LaPalomento, from New Jersey, has become a viral social media sensation, wracking up millions of followers while documenting her day-to-day endeavors as a mother of two.
She often shares videos of herself and her 'mini me' daughter, Giada, seven, partaking in various beauty trends together and trying out skincare products.
But when the influencer posted a recent clip revealing that she was taking her daughter to get a spray tan, it sparked immense backlash.
Now, she has responded to the criticism during an exclusive chat with the Daily Mail, and she insisted that it was a completely safe and fun activity for her daughter to partake in.
'It was safe and made her feel happy,' she explained. 'To me, it's not as deep as some people are making it.
'I know my child, I know my intentions, and I stand by my choice as her mom because there was nothing harmful or inappropriate about it.'
She added, 'It's definitely not a crazy concept for people who grew up in the area I grew up in either.'
In her now-viral TikTok, which has so far received more than 17 million views, Noel wrote in a text overlay, 'My seven-year-old wanted a spray tan so I booked us both an appointment.'
Footage showed her and the youngster shaking hands as they mouthed along to the song Illegal by PinkPantheress.
She then documented their trip to the tanning salon and uploaded it in another video.
'Come get a spray tan with us, Giada's going to get her first ever spray tan today,' she told her followers in the beginning.
'Mind your business,' she added, addressing the haters. 'It's just sugar and water.'
A montage of clips then showed them entering the facility to get the spray tan and a worker spraying the product all over Giada's arms.
But many of Noel's followers were unsettled by the youngster getting a spray tan, and the comment section of both videos were flooded with negative replies.
Some people claimed it would give her 'self esteem issues,' while others encouraged her to do more kid-friendly things like play outside.
'Period. Start giving her self esteem issues at the age of seven,' one user sarcastically wrote.
'I didn't even know what a spray tan was at seven,' another added, along with crying emojis.
'Make her go outside if she wants a tan? She's seven. She doesn't need a spray tan,' urged someone else.
'Make her… go outside… go swimming...? Do KID things,' a fourth comment read.
'She does not need a spray tan. She's SEVEN,' said a fifth.
'Hell nah girl, she's seven,' scathed a different viewer.
'"Seven" and "spray tan" in the same sentence is wild,' commented someone else.
'Or... you could just TAKE HER OUTSIDE,' another person wrote.
More comments read, 'I'm so glad I had a childhood,' 'Is this illegal? It feels illegal,' 'She's seven... help her love her skin,' and, 'It's time parents started to treat their kids like KIDS and not their friends.'
Some people claimed it would give her 'self esteem issues,' while others encouraged her to do more kid-friendly things like play outside
While chatting with the Daily Mail, Noel explained that including her daughter in her social media content has always felt right.
'Back in 2020 I started posting outfit of the day videos, advice, and really anything that came to my mind - I was just being myself,' she explained of how she became a viral star.
'Slowly, this turned into me sharing my life as a mom as well, [and] people just fell in love with each of us and our dynamic together.
'Not sharing her felt unnatural. She's with me 24/7 and such a big part of who I am.'
In recent months, many popular 'momfluencers' have decided to stop sharing their kids online out of concerns for their safety.
Noel explained that she constantly 'thinks' about that, but insisted that she's 'careful with what she shares' to ensure her children are protected.
'I only share what feels respectful, appropriate, and in her best interest,' she added.
In the end, she stands by her decisions and thinks there is no harm in exposing her young daughter to makeup, spray tans, and skincare products, regardless of what her haters might say.
'I don't think there's anything wrong with being creative and expressing yourself growing up,' she concluded.

Kim Zolciak's daughter Brielle Biermann reveals mother's influence on her 'botched' cosmetic procedures

Brielle Biermann pointed the finger at her mother when she discussed her history of dramatic cosmetic procedures for an upcoming spinoff episode of Botched. In a clip for Botched Presents: Plastic Surgery Rewind, the 28-year-old daughter of Kim Zolciak said that it was her mom who took her to her very first lip filler appointment. Brielle also said that Kim — whose other daughter Ariana claimed had been stealing her teen modeling earnings with her estranged husband Kroy Biermann — would take her to her own cosmetic procedure appointments and speak openly of all her touchups in front of her children, which influenced her own attitude toward abundant dermal filler use. has reached out to representatives for Kim and Brielle for comment. While speaking with the plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow, the nepo baby — who revealed a rapidly reversed desire to dissolve her lip filler at the start of 2020 — admitted that she wanted to reverse the affects of her numerous filler procedures, including deposits around her cheek bones that she thought were overly plump and asymmetrical. She also shared the shocking confession that getting filler injections became so common for her that it was 'like getting a Diet Coke.' Brielle also told Dr. Terry Dubrow (R) that Kim would take her to her cosmetic procedure appointments and speak openly of all her touchups in front of her children, which influenced Brielle's attitude toward abundant dermal filler use 'I had just turned 18 when I first got my lips done,' Brielle admitted as Dubrow's mouth dropped open in shock. 'I graduated high school and the second I graduated, my mom took me to LA and I got my lips done by the doctor [that] everybody was getting their lips done [from] at the time. Dubrow interrupted to ask if the other doctor showed any hesitation about giving lip fillers to an 18-year-old patient. 'No, it was like, "Get in the chair, let's go,"' she recounted. In a cut to a separate talking head–style interview, Dubrow cautions providers to be wary of using filler on young patients, as the substance — which is often used to erase the visible signs of aging — can instead make young patients look prematurely old. According to the Cleveland Clinic, fillers tend to be synthetic or naturally occuring substances that are injected to smooth out lines and plump skin, particularly around the mouth, eyes or even nose. Fat from a patient's body can even be removed and then injected into their face to create a fuller appearance in the chosen spot. Although Brielle has expressed disappointment about her overly plump lips multiple times in recent years, it was filler under her eyes — around her cheek bones — that seemed to trouble her most. Ironically, Kim claimed in an interview with Dubrow in the same clip that she had counseled her oldest daughter to steer clear of under-eye filler, despite having allegedly played a role in normalizing other filler procedures for her. 'I told her to never do that under her eyes,' the former Real Housewives Of Atlanta star claimed, adding that she and Brielle were on the same page about regrets over the procedure. 'But, sometimes you've got to let them go and learn on their own, even though I was like, "Please don't."' Brielle admitted that she was happy with the under-eye filler at first, but now she found it to be 'so puffy,' with one side looking 'more full than the other.' I was always going with her to her doctors appointments. I feel like she was mostly getting every laser you could think of to remain youthful. So then every month, 'I'm like I need to get my lips done. 'Filler became like getting a Diet Coke,' she admitted. 'The under-eye filler just became like an insecurity that I didn't even really know I had.' Brielle noted that she had been a reality television fixture since she was 10 years old, and the clip then cut to an excerpt of an earlier show in which she received a luxury handbag as a birthday present. Kim, who looks dramatically different from her current appearance, hams it up and shouts at her daughter to 'smile' to show that she's happy about getting the present she asked for. In a confessional interview, Brielle admitted that Kim 'was always going to get botox and lip filler, and watching my mom go through this kind of just made it seem normal.' As evidence of Kim's openness about her cosmetic procedures and surgery, an old clip was included in which Kim boasts, 'The next time you see me, I'll have a new set of t***ies.' Brielle claimed she would eventually get 'hit up' by doctors offering her free injections and free surgeries on the condition that she post about the work she had done on social media to help advertise their practices. Because of those offers — and the money she made as a result of her social media posts to show off their work — she became hyper-fixated on any perceived imperfections with her face. 'Anything I saw that I felt like I could go fix, I would go and I would fix it!' Brielle admitted. She previously admitted at the beginning of 2020 that she had decided to dissolve all of her lip filler because of how dramatic her pout had become by late 2019. However, months later she added back some filler and revealed that she had wanted fuller lips since she was a teen because many of her friends had plumper lips than she did, and her mother concurred about her voicing that desire. Then, in 2023, Brielle shared a before and after photo comparing her overly plump 2019 lips with her still plump but considerably more natural lips at the time. 'Bit of a personal post,' she captioned her post. 'All I'm gonna say is if you start to get lip filler… Go to someone who will tell you no.' The beauty continued, 'At that time in my life (on the left) I had too many chefs in the kitchen… I went to too many injectors, none of which would tell me no!' In 2023, Brielle shared a before and after photo comparing her overly plump 2019 lips with her still plump but more natural lips at the time. She warned any fans who wanted lip fillers to 'go to someone who will tell you no' She admitted: 'I would be injected, get used to the new size of my lips, and then think I needed more. I still love some filler but listen to someone who went through it… Do not get overfilled!' Kim's appearance with her daughter comes after she and her estranged husband Kroy Biermann were forced out of their mansion near Atlanta last month by police amid their financial woes and dramatic divorce conflict. Other stars who will be featured on the Botched spinoff include Danity Kane singer Aubrey O'Day, former Playboy model Kathy Brown, Love And Hip Hop: Atlanta star Jessica Dime, 90 Day Fiancé star Larissa Santos Lima and multiple influencers, including Sebastian Bails, Sophia Elgerabli and Alan McGarry. The new show is hosted by Michelle Visage of RuPaul's Drag Race fame, along with Botched fixtures Dubrow and body-image expert Dr. Spirit, PhD. Botched Presents: Plastic Surgery Rewind premieres on E! on Wednesday, July 9, and it will be available to stream on Peacock seven days after it airs on television.

One clip showed Sophie cooling off between takes with a handheld fan while wearing a stunning pink sleeveless dress. Another saw Sophie flaunting her beach-ready body in a classic plain white bikini. Posing on a daybed with a flower tucked behind her ear, the self-effacing reality star said: 'Do you think I'm posing too much?' Fans, followers and crew were quick to bid Sophie a fond farewell, with many telling the star they were sad to see her leave. 'I'm going to miss you,' Sophie's Love Island stylist Kim Brannigan commented. Love Island Australia star Callum Hole also chimed in with: 'I'm having withdrawals already.' One fan summed up the sentiment of many with: 'I'm going to miss you on Aftersun!!!!!' while Sophie added: 'Aw, I enjoyed it so much.' 'Such a beauty and so down to earth keep enjoying life cheers Sophie,' another said. The spin-off of the raunchy dating series, which airs in Australia on Stan, saw Sophie interview dumped Islanders as well as past contestants in a talk show setting. She replaced previous Aftersun host Maura Higgins, who featured as a contestant on Love Island USA and Love Island UK. Sophie, who has hosted the Aussie iteration of Love Island since 2018, is readying to star in season 7, which is set to appear on Nine later in 2025. The host and singer has previously revealed it hasn't always been easy sailing for her admitting she almost quit show business. Speaking to Daily Mail Australia in 2019, Sophie admitted it was tough for her when she was starting out in entertainment. 'I think when I was younger I was trying to be everything everyone else wanted me to be in the industry,' Sophie said. Sophie initially shot to fame as part of pop band Bardot from 2000 to 2002. Although her star continued to rise, Sophie said she found the cutthroat showbiz industry difficult to handle and almost walked away altogether. 'Back then it was tough, I felt a little bit misunderstood,' she admitted, adding that it made her think twice about her career choice. 'So I said either get out of the industry or have fun. You know what, take it on. A lot of people would love to be in it. I just kind of fell in it,' she explained.

Disgruntled ex-employee's fury after boss sends him an outrageous text request

A fired employee has sparked a humorous debate after exposing a shameless request from his former boss. The text message seemed genuine and polite, however it has transpired that this particular manager was asking the man to come back and train his own replacement just days after being let go. In a now-viral TikTok video, British career expert Ben Askins shared the shocking text message exchange that left thousands of viewers gobsmacked, with many dubbing the boss's request 'delusional' and 'ridiculous.' The clip, which has amassed more than 175,000 views, shows the boss pleading with the sacked staffer to return and train the new hire on the company's ticketing system. Outrageously, he was offering nothing more than a coffee in exchange. 'This boss was really pushing his luck!' Ben captioned the video. 'Situations like this can be easily avoided,' after he too seemed shocked by the lack of regard the boss had for the ex-worker. 'Hey, I know this probably isn't the best time to ask, but we're struggling with the new ticketing process. Is there any chance you could come in and run the new guy through it?' the employer messaged over text. To which the disgruntled ex-employee clapped back: 'Are you having a laugh? You fired me last week?' Lacking any regard for their feelings the employee replied: 'I know, but I wouldn't ask if it wasn't important. It shouldn't take you long. I know this is awkward, I promise you will get a coffee for the favour.' In the video, Ben chimed in adding his own opinion on the matter, joking that a mere coffee for his time was 'quite alright, then,' as he laughed. Surprisingly, the ex-employee replied with an olive branch to help, but felt remuneration was only fair for his time: 'I will do it. But I want it to be a remote tutorial, and I will charge you for half a day.' 'Remote is fine, but half a day's pay? This will only take a few minutes?' the employer replied, clearly surprised at the request. 'That is the deal.' Begrudgingly his terms were met, but not without a small dig at his audaciousness of actually being remunerated for his time and effort: 'Fine, but I am disappointed this is the way you are playing this,' the boss replied. Ben, who frequently posts career advice and work-related scenarios, was stunned by the entitlement on display. 'Firstly, let's be very clear,' he said. He does not have to do this favour. So the fact that he's charging is completely okay. 'He's giving up his time. He really doesn't have to do it, so the idea that this boss doesn't think he should pay is absolutely ridiculous.' He continued by saying that the text exchanges was 'a good example of why companies need proper training guides and onboarding processes - so you don't end up in situations like this.' Hundreds of Ben's viewers weighed in on the text exchange too, and they didn't hold back. The comments under the video lit up with support for the ex-employee, with many saying he should've asked for far more than just half a day's pay. 'Half a day? I'd charge them my consultancy fee and it would be astronomical,' one user wrote. 'I wouldn't even answer the message,' said another. 'At this point he's not under contract, he's a consultant. He can charge what he wants.' 'I'd reply two words and the second word would be 'off,' joked one. 'Half a days pay? He doesn't work there no more so his days pay is zero and half of 0 is 0.' While some users said they would've hung up or blocked the boss altogether, others applauded the ex-employee's cool-headed professionalism, particularly for negotiating remote work and payment. The viral saga has become a cautionary tale for workers everywhere, especially in industries where employees are often expected to go above and beyond, even after being let go, it seems.
