Hulk Hogan 'begged for forgiveness' in tearful final conversation with daughter Brooke before his death at 71

In the days before his passing from a heart attack at age 71, WWE superstar Hulk Hogan was able to reconcile with his estranged daughter, Brooke. After years of no contact between the father and daughter, the 37-year-old Brooke was able to reach out to her dad. According to the National Enquirer, the two shared a short but heartfelt conversation on July 25. Five days later, Hogan passed away at his home in Florida. 'It was a tearful conversation, albeit a short one,' an insider told the outlet. 'Brooke told her dad how much she loved him, how much she missed him. Hulk said he loved her, and he was sorry. 'That was huge for Brooke to hear. Everyone knew how stubborn Hulk could be, but his fading health obviously softened him up. He knew he was dying and begged her forgiveness.' Five days after the news of Hogan's death was announced, Brooke posted a long message on Instagram clarifying their relationship. 'My father and I never 'fought,' she wrote. 'It was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know, or understand.' Brooke revealed she had felt her father starting to pull away - saying he no longer wanted support or advice from her, despite his health issues. Hogan revealed he had 25 surgeries in the last decade - including 10 back operations, replacements on his knee and hip, and procedures on both shoulders. 'We'd been through almost 25 surgeries together, and all of a sudden he didn't want me at surgeries,' Brooke said. 'But even when they weren't speaking, she cared about him and worried about him,' a source told the outlet. 'The important thing is, when he passed away, they were okay again.' 'Brooke can't help the current state her family is in right now, but she can go on knowing her dad loved her and there was peace between them before he died.'

Hulk Hogan funeral and memorial plans revealed after WWE icon's tragic death at 71

A memorial service to commemorate the life of Hulk Hogan is to be held at a church in Tampa on Tuesday after the wrestling icon's death at the age of 71. Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, died from a cardiac arrest on July 24 and was also flighting leukemia at the time of his passing. He had been taken ill at his home in Clearwater, Florida before being pronounced dead in hospital. His passing plunged the world of wrestling into mourning for a larger-than-life character adored by millions across the globe. And this week, his life will be honored at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park and Funeral Home on Tuesday. According to his death certificate, he is going to be cremated at Pinellas County Forensic Center in Clearwater. A specific date for that has not yet been announced. A spokesperson for the center last week confirmed a request for cremation, telling Page Six: 'I'm not aware of when Mr. Bollea will be cremated, only that we've received a request for cremation approval.' Hogan's death came after weeks of speculation about his health. While he was known to be struggling, he had kept news about his leukemia diagnosis out of the public before his death. His son, Nick, had a front row seat at WWE SummerSlam 2025 in New Jersey on Saturday night and appeared to fight tears back when a tribute was made to his father. The tribute showcased photos of Hogan from throughout his WWE career and heaped praise on the 'larger than life' figure and his career inside the squared circle. Cameras then cut to a visibly moved Nick, who applauded while welling up. Meanwhile the wrestler's daughter, Brooke, opened up on her troubled relationship with the wrestling legend in a candid statement last Tuesday in the wake of his death. 'My dad's blood runs through my veins. His eyes shine through my children. And our bond has never broken, not even in his final moments,' she began in a six-page message on social media Tuesday. 'We had a connection deeper than words, one that spanned lifetimes. I am so grateful I knew the real version of him. Not just the one the world viewed through a carefully curated lens. 'We shared a quiet, sacred bond, one that could be seen and felt by anyone who witnessed us together. When he left this earth, it felt like part of my spirit left with him. I felt it before the news even reached us.' Brooke was estranged from both of her parents for years before he passed and she has taken herself out of her father's will. She has not yet addressed the topic of attending her father's funeral but hit back at criticism for not attending WWE tributes to her dad. 'For those of you giving me crap for not attending my Dad's tributes, @wwe did not extend an invite,' she wrote on Instagram last week. Brooke's mother Linda, Hulk Hogan's ex-wife, said she was 'melting down' at the news of his death.
