Tchatchoua latest right back on Milan radar

Yahoo2 days ago
Milan are the latest club showing an interest in Verona right-back Jackson Tchatchoua, but face strong competition from Nottingham Forest, Inter and Napoli.
The Rossoneri would seem to have found their new left-back to replace Theo Hernandez, with multiple sources this evening suggesting a deal has been done with Brighton and Hove Albion for Pervis Estupinan at just under €20m.
They are also in dire need of someone on the right, having released Kyle Walker, Alessandro Florenzi and Davide Calabria this summer.
Tchatchoua attracting attention
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the latest candidate is Hellas Verona's Tchatchoua, who is set to celebrate his 24th birthday in September.
It will not be an easy task, because the Cameroon international has been attracting a great deal of attention already this month, including within Serie A from Inter and Napoli.
The biggest competition for Milan could be from Nottingham Forest, who already saw a €10m proposal rejected and are expected to raise their next bid to €12m.
Tchatchoua made 36 Serie A appearances for Verona last season, scoring two goals and providing three assists.

Mistrust – Inter Milan Executives Schedule Showdown Talks With Turkey Megastar Despite Agent's Exit Disclaimer

Hakan Calhanoglu will meet the Inter Milan hierarchy for showdown talks upon his return from vacation later today. According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Serie A runners-up want to set things straight with the midfielder. For most of the players, today's reunion at Appiano Gentile is business as usual, but not for Hakan Calhanoglu. Indeed, the Turk will be under the microscope after taking the San Siro club on another rollercoaster ride this summer. Heavily linked with Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, the 31-year-old never tried to quash rumors. And his silence made several leading Inter figures furious, including Beppe Marotta and Lautaro Martinez. (Photo by) Despite reportedly clearing the air with El Toro, Calhanoglu is no longer a reliable presence at San Siro. It's hard to blame Inter for losing confidence in the former AC Milan midfielder after everything that happened this month. Indeed, the Turkish star never felt the urge to shut down the speculation with a straightforward public statement. Furthermore, a simple social media post would've done the trick. However, Calhanoglu remains tight-lipped, making the Nerazzurri question his loyalty. Therefore, the upcoming meeting will serve to determine whether he still has a future at the club.

Report – Inter Milan Determined To Offload Albania EURO 2024 Star Despite Real Betis Rejection

Inter Milan will not change their stance on Kristjan Asllani despite the player's recent decision to reject a move to Real Betis. According to FCInter1908, Asllani has no future at San Siro, with the Nerazzurri determined to cash in on his exit. Kristjan Asllani turned down a transfer to Andalusia earlier this summer. Though Inter accepted Betis' offer, the 23-year-old decided against joining Manuel Pellegrini's side. Indeed, he pointed to family reasons as the basis for his decision. (Photo by) Asllani is keen to stay in Serie A and won't accept any foreign offers. However, his position diminishes Inter's chances of finding a club capable of matching their €18 million asking price. Indeed, only a handful of Italian sides can meet that figure, and none has interest in the Albanian. Meanwhile, Inter plan to use funds from Asllani's sale to finance the arrival of Ademola Lookman. Furthermore, they're still interested in Giovanni Leoni to strengthen Cristian Chivu's backline.

Report – Inter Milan Agree Terms With Ex Juventus Defender – Yet To Agree Deal With Genoa

Genoa defender Koni De Winter has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Serie A runners-up Inter Milan. According to Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad via FCInterNews, Inter and De Winter have reached a 'verbal agreement.' Despite accepting Inter's contract offer, Koni De Winter is still a Genoa player. Therefore, the Nerazzurri must convince the Griffins to sell their star defender, which won't be simple. Indeed, Patrick Vieira's men value the Belgian center-back at €25 million. (Photo by) De Winter has not been Inter's primary defensive target this summer. Although he had an outstanding season at Stadio Luigi Ferraris, Inter had hoped to sign Giovanni Leoni. However, Parma's €40 million asking price and their unwillingness to budge on it seem to have deterred the Nerazzurri. As such, Cristian Chivu's men have turned to alternate targets. De Winter was one of the revelations in Serie A last term, cementing his place as Genoa's defensive cornerstone. With that in mind, the Griffins will unlikely lower their demands.
