PM, Egyptian counterpart stress continuation of joint mediation efforts to achieve Gaza truce
Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met with Prime Minister of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt HE Dr Mostafa Madbouly in Doha on Tuesday.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to support and enhance them, particularly in the investment and economic fields, and explored promising opportunities to elevate them to broader horizons for the benefit and prosperity of both countries and their brotherly peoples.
The discussions also covered the latest developments in the region, especially in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, in addition to a number of issues of common concern.
Both sides affirmed their keenness to develop bilateral relations in all fields and stressed the continuation of joint mediation efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, secure the release of prisoners and detainees, and facilitate the entry of aid to address the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Strip.
They also expressed their full support for all regional and international efforts aimed at de-escalation and the consolidation of stability and peace in the region.

Qatar moving ahead with preparations to host MWC25 Doha
Under the patronage of Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), continues its preparations to host the inaugural edition of MWC Doha on Nov. 25-26, 2025, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC). The event is organised by the GSMA, the global organisation unifying the mobile ecosystem, in partnership with MCIT. This marks the first time the globally renowned MWC series will be held in the Middle East and North Africa region, positioning Doha as a strategic hub for global dialogue on digital transformation. MWC25 Doha is expected to attract international participants from around 60 countries, including 40 percent Director level as well as senior executives, technology leaders, investors, policymakers, and innovators.
