Eminem Documentary ‘Stans' Books Limited August Run in AMC Theatres
AMC Theatres has come aboard to distribute Stans in the U.S., and has committed to playing the doc in more than 135 of its domestic locations beginning Aug. 7 and ending Aug. 10. Overseas, Trafalgar Releasing will release the doc at the same time in more than 1,600 theaters across 50 markets.

The pact follows in the wake of AMC directly distributing Taylor Swift's concert pic The Eras Tour and Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé.
The Eminem-produced doc (trailer, below) opened the inaugural London edition of the SXSW festival earlier this year, and is inspired by the artist's 2000 iconic song 'Stan,' about an obsessive, unstable fan who takes his admiration for the rapper too far.
In London, director Steven Leckart described how he flipped the music documentary format on its head. Stans film follows not just the musician's artistic trajectory but that of his most loyal superfans, with the doc 'offering an entertaining and vibrant look at the modern nature of fandom and how social media has irrevocably changed the relationship between artists and their audience.' (The term 'Stan' was officially added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2017).
Leckart said after the premiere during a Q&A: 'I was raised on hip-hop in the '80s and '90s, and I grew up on MTV. So I witnessed [Eminem's] rise's first hand and I was a fan, but I think I just kept coming back to the song 'Stan' and really thinking about how unconventional it was and still is.'
He continued: 'I just saw an opportunity to make an unconventional doc … We've seen a glut of docs that are just so straightforward and standard. And so this is a beautiful opportunity to do something different.'
Other producers include Paul Rosenberg, Stuart Parr, Antoine Fuqua, Tony DiSanto, David Schiff with DIGA Studios in association with Shady Films, Fuqua Films, Interscope Films, and MTV Entertainment Studios. Bruce Gillmer, Amanda Culkowski and Michael Maniaci are Executive Producers for MTV Entertainment Studios.
Stans will be available on Paramount+ internationally later this year. Stans: The Official Soundtrack, which will feature previously unreleased tracks, is already available for pre-order.

US pop megastar Taylor Swift will be honoured with 13 waxworks of her at Madame Tussauds venues around the globe, the museum said on Wednesday. In honour of Swift's lucky number, 13 of the waxwork museum's 22 branches will each receive a statue of the "Love Story" and "Blank Space" singer, in what it called the "most ambitious project" of its 250-year history. The statues were inspired by some of the 35-year-old songwriting sensation's looks from her record-shattering "Eras Tour" from 2023 to 2024. With 149 shows across the world over nearly two years, the tour raked in $2 billion, making it the most lucrative in music history to date. More than 40 artists worked for more than a year on the statues of Swift, one of the most acclaimed artists of her generation with 14 Grammy Awards. "This is the most ambitious project in Madame Tussauds' 250-year history, which only feels right to reflect the stratospheric status of Taylor Swift," said Danielle Cullen, the museum's senior figure stylist. UK-based Swifties are well served, with one waxwork slated for London and another for the northern seaside resort town of Blackpool. Another 10 will find a permanent home at the branches of Madame Tussauds in Amsterdam, Berlin, Budapest, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Las Vegas, Nashville, New York, Orlando and Sydney. An air ambulance was called to Ozzy Osbourne's mansion in the hours before his death. The Black Sabbath legend passed away aged 76 on Tuesday (22.07.25) and it has been revealed that an aircraft was dispatched to his country property in Buckinghamshire as call handlers believed that the rocker's life was at risk. The helicopter crew are said to have spent around two hours with Ozzy - who had suffered from Parkinson's disease for several years - as they battled in vain to save his life. A spokesperson for Thames Valley Air Ambulance told MailOnline: "We can confirm that our helicopter was dispatched to provide advanced critical care at an incident near Chalfont St Giles yesterday." An unnamed resident added to the outlet: "I went out to have a look and saw that it was landing close to Ozzy's house. "All of us were talking about it and wondering what had happened. We immediately feared it may be for him as he was known to be in fragile health. "When we heard later that night that he had died it confirmed our worst fears." The Paranoid hitmaker's death was announced by his family in a statement on Tuesday night. It read: "It is with more sadness that mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love." Ozzy's passing comes a little over two weeks after he reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates for the epic Back to the Beginning farewell gig at Villa Park in Birmingham and his sister Jean Powell has revealed that the news came a "shock" to her despite his "frail" health. She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "He was frail but [his death] still came as a shock. He still had plans and things he wanted to do. "We don't know the details of his death, it's still too early. It's just so sad. I'm just thankful he died in England." Jean admits that she has been stunned by the "outpouring of love" for Ozzy from fans and fellow music stars in the wake of the sad news. She added: "We just can't believe he is gone and we won't be getting another phone call or text from him. "Every week without fail he would get in touch, either by phone or text, to ask how we were all doing and what was going on."

Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne spent final days with family in England home: report
Ozzy Osbourne's final days in England are being shared. The Prince of Darkness died Tuesday, July 22, after battling a number of health issues over the years. He was 76. The Black Sabbath singer was at "peace" before his death, and was "surrounded by family" before he passed, according to People magazine. "[Sharon's] deepest hope was fulfilled, and this is her focus now," a source told the outlet. "Ozzy's final days were spent in England, surrounded by family, music and in the place he called home. He was in peace," the source added. Two weeks before his death, Ozzy reunited with Black Sabbath to perform at a star-studded farewell show in England, an appropriately dark and electric send-off for one of rock's greatest legends. During his final show on July 5 at Villa Park, Osbourne expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support as the band, including Tony Iommi, Terence "Geezer" Butler and Bill Ward, performed together for the first time in 20 years. For the closing set, the legendary rock star was lifted to the stage while sitting on a black throne accompanied by skulls and topped with a black bat. He sang hits like "Crazy Train" and "Mama I'm Coming Home" while remaining seated during the entire set. "You have no idea how I feel," Osbourne told the crowd. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart." An insider told the outlet, "That show meant everything. It brought his career full circle." Ozzy's sisters, Jean Powell and Gillian Hemming, recalled the last time they saw their brother was before his final concert. "He was frail, but it still came as a shock," Powell told The Mirror about her brother's death. She wasn't aware of the "details of his death," but was very "thankful he died in England." She noted that her last conversation with her brother was ahead of his Black Sabbath farewell performance. "I got a text from him as he drove down Lodge Road, where we used to live near the stadium," Powell said. "He said he couldn't believe all the crowds were walking down our old street to watch him perform." Powell added, "It was upsetting because he could not stand up straight, but he was still our John, still cracking the jokes." The 10-hour show was hosted by Jason Momoa and featured performances from Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Jack Black, Steven Tyler and others. At one point during the show, which was livestreamed in the U.K., legendary drummers, including Tool's Danny Carey, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith and Blink-182's Travis Barker, battled with their drumsticks while playing a cover of Sabbath's "Symptom of the Universe." After his death, the Osbournes released a statement to Fox News Digital. "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family's privacy at this time." Osbourne is survived by wife Sharon, daughters Kelly and Aimee and son Jack, in addition to daughter Jessica and sons Elliot and Louis from his first marriage to Thelma Riley.
