Realme 15 confirmed to launch soon in India, AI features teased: Details
The Realme 15 series is soon going to be available in the Indian market, and the company has confirmed this through a teaser. The details reveal that both the Realme 15 5G, as well as the Realme 15 Pro 5G, are going to be available in India. The company's teaser on X, formerly known as Twitter, details that the Realme 15 Pro, as well as the 15 5G, are going to be coming soon with the tagline, "Everything Plus, Now in Pro.'And 'AI Party Phone." Now, it is quite vague as to what "AI party phone" means, but it does suggest that the phones could be big on AI features.
Having said that Realme's branding does suggest that features previously reserved for the Plus line of Realme phones could finally make their way to the Realme 15 Pro. At the very same time, the phones have always been mid-rangers, so that is worth keeping in mind as well.
Reports suggest that the phone could be offered with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. As for other specifications, reports do mention that they could get the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, alongside a triple camera system, and a 6300 mAh battery.
Talking specifally about the Realme 15 Pro (model RMX5101), it could be vailable in four variants, ranging from 8GB RAM with 128GB storage to 12GB RAM with 512GB storage.
Having said that, these specifications should be taken with a grain of salt considering Realme is yet to reveal the details officially. Realme 15 Series Release Date (Expected)
Considering June is almost over and Realme is only teasing the phone so far, it would not be out of the ordinary for the 15 series to launch in the month of July or perhaps early August.
It should be noted that Realme's previous series, the Realme 14 Pro and 14 Pro+, were launched in January of this year, making it only six months since their release.

As part of its ongoing trade talks with the US, India has sought a zero-tariff structure on export of electronics items to the country, even as President Donald Trump has raised concerns around import of gadgets like the iPhone from India, and has threatened to slap additional tariffs on Apple if it sells foreign made phones in the country. 'We have sought zero duty on electronics exports to the US and our negotiators are currently discussing how to operationalise that,' a senior government official told The Indian Express requesting anonymity since the discussions are currently private. As part of his wide ranging tariff action in April, Trump had imposed a 26 per cent rate on imports from India. And while India was among the countries which saw a 90-day pause from the revised rates, the US President has since ratcheted up criticism of companies selling electronics products in the US, which are manufactured in China, India and elsewhere. As Indian trade negotiators landed in the US last Friday for the final round of in-person talks before the July 9 deadline for the reciprocal tariff pause runs out, Trump said the US and India 'may' sign a deal that will 'open up India'. Weeks after Apple said that a majority of iPhones to be sold in the US will be produced in India and its contract manufacturer Foxconn followed it up with a $1.49-billion investment plan in one of its India unit, Trump had said Apple would have to pay 25 per cent tariff if it sold in the US iPhones built in India or anyplace else. Earlier, he said that he told Apple CEO Tim Cook that he does not want the company to expand its manufacturing operations in India, unless it is to cater specifically to its domestic market. The Indian Express had reported that the US flagged a number of non-tariff barriers and high duties in India, but was yet to commit to several Indian demands, more so because the US currently lacks a valid Trade Promotion Authority (TPA). Without this, the current US administration is not legally permitted to reduce tariffs. Experts have pointed out that the tariff-related discussions in the bilateral trade agreement (BTA) negotiations may be limited only to executive-level tariffs levied by the current administration, raising questions about the long-term durability of any deal reached. Despite Trump's earlier warning to Apple that it should focus on production in the US and refrain from expanding in India, Foxconn informed the London Stock Exchange earlier this week that it was investing $1.49 billion in one of its India units, Yuzhan Technologies (India) Pvt Ltd. The plant is expected to come up in Tamil Nadu, where Foxconn also has a major iPhone production base. Currently, iPhones are primarily assembled in China, India and Vietnam, with Apple having plans to expand operations in India. Experts have said that moving production to the US would be impractical for Apple, given that the company has no manufacturing and supplier base in the country. Apple has identified India as a key market for iPhone production and a gradual base for its suppliers in a move away from China. The company currently produces nearly 15% of all iPhones in India, with plans to increase that to a quarter in the coming years. NDMA, DoT collaborate to broadcast disaster alerts across country
New Delhi [India], July 1 (ANI): The Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications, in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Government of India, has been actively enhancing mobile-enabled disaster communication systems across the country to provide timely information to citizens. NDMA has successfully operationalised the Integrated Alert System (SACHET), developed by the Centre of Development of Telematics (C-DOT), which is based on the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) recommended by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). This system is already operational in all 36 States and Union Territories (UTs) of India and sends various disaster or emergency-related alerts through SMS to the mobiles of citizens affected in a particular geo-targeted area. This system has been extensively used by disaster management authorities to issue over 6,899 crore SMS alerts in more than 19 Indian languages during various natural disasters, weather warnings, and cyclonic events, according to an official statement from the Ministry of Communications. To further strengthen alert dissemination in time-critical disaster situations such as tsunamis, earthquakes, lightning strikes, and man-made emergencies like gas leaks or chemical hazards, Cell Broadcast (CB) technology is being implemented in addition to SMS. In the Cell Broadcast System, the alerts are sent to mobile phones in the affected area in a broadcast mode, and hence the dissemination of alerts happens in near real time. The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), the premier R&D centre of the Department of Telecom, has been entrusted with the indigenous development and implementation of the Cell Broadcast-based public emergency alerting system, the statement added. According to the Ministry, as part of the Pan-India rollout, testing of the CB system is being conducted to ascertain the efficacy and proper functioning of the system before it is rolled out. This testing will last for 2-4 weeks, covering the entire country. During this period, test messages in English and Hindi may be received by the public on their mobile handsets. These 'test messages' will be received only by mobile handsets that have CB test channels enabled. During the testing phase, these messages may also be received multiple times, through the test channel, to test the proper functioning of the system in the entire network of mobile towers (Base Station Trans receivers-BTS). These test messages are part of a planned nationwide testing exercise and require no action from recipients. The content of the test message will be as follows: This is a TEST Cell Broadcast message sent by the National Disaster Management Authority in coordination with the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India, as part of testing the Cell Broadcast solution for disseminating alerts. During the testing of the Cell Broadcast solution, you may receive this message multiple times on your mobile handset. Please ignore these messages; no action is required on your end. Once successfully tested and operationalized, the CB system will be used to disseminate alerts in multiple Indian languages across all mobile handsets, regardless of test channel settings, ensuring a wide and inclusive public reach during actual emergencies. DoT requests the co-operation of the public during this important testing phase and reiterates that all test messages during this period are purely for system validation purposes and no action is required from the recipient side.
