Manchester United Sees Mazraoui as More Than a One-Position Wonder
The club stressed how Mazraoui proved his adaptability over the course of the campaign, impressing in different positions, including at wing-back or in defense.
'The Morocco international has been able to impress, not only at wing-back or in the central defensive slots, but also on both flanks,' the club said on Saturday.
Manchester United also featured its coach Ruben Amorim, who acknowledged that the Atlas Lion can play in different positions.
'I see him as one of the defenders at this moment, because of his quality, he can defend,' the coach said.
He can also play one against one, or defending and attacking, the coach said, noting that he sees Mazraoui with a 'future to play as a wing-back and as a centre-back.'
Mazraoui has made 30 appearances as part of the Premier League since he joined Manchester United last year in August.
The Moroccan star shared inspirational thoughts in a meeting with the club's Muslim supporters at Old Trafford in March, urging youth to follow their dreams.
'Never lose sight of your dreams,' he said, noting, 'seeing your parents so proud is something that makes you more proud.'
Mazraoui is also a key football player for Morocco's national team, with whom he appeared in key competitions like AFCON and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Tags: Manchester UnitedNoussair Mazraoui

Rashford Arrives in Barcelona Ahead of Season-Long Loan
Marcus Rashford landed in Barcelona on Sunday, marking the early stages of a season-long loan move from Manchester United. The 27-year-old, a product of United's youth academy, rose swiftly through the ranks to become a key player by 2016. However, after a disappointing spell in a faltering United side last season, Rashford was loaned to Aston Villa in January to regain form and playing time. 🚨| BREAKING : Rashford has now LANDED in Barcelona. — forblaugrana (@forblaugrana) July 20, 2025 Barcelona are set to fly to Asia on Thursday for their pre-season tour. Coach Hansi Flick was insistent on having Rashford with the squad before departure, to help him settle in ahead of the new season in August. Reports suggest the deal includes a €30 million option to buy. The paperwork has been finalised, and Rashford is now officially part of the Catalan club's plans. 'They'll probably end up getting Rashford on a one-year loan and sell him as the biggest thing since Messi,' said football analyst Jan Aage Fjørtoft on ESPN FC . 'I've seen this before with Bayern—they need a big name.' He added: 'Rashford was fantastic at Aston Villa.' Reactions among fans remain divided. One commented: 'A player like Rashford is worth €60–80 million, but the chaos at United post-Ferguson has seen players lose value in record time.' Another hailed the move: 'This is the best possible deal that could have happened.' And a third added: 'Rashford took a 15% pay cut just to play for the best club in the world.' Sofyan Amrabat Refuses to Leave Fenerbahçe Amid Exit Talks
Sofyan Amrabat's future at Fenerbahçe is in limbo. The Moroccan international, who joined from Fiorentina last season for €12–14 million with a mandatory purchase clause, has been informed he is not part of José Mourinho's plans for the upcoming season. Despite this, Amrabat has rejected two offers – both from Serie A clubs – citing a significant pay cut. The 28-year-old currently earns €5 million per year in Istanbul, while the Italian offers reportedly did not exceed €2 million. With a contract running until 2028, Amrabat has told the club he intends to stay unless a more suitable offer arrives. His stance has placed Fenerbahçe in a financial bind, as the club looks to offload fringe players and cut its wage bill. Last season, Amrabat featured in 39 matches, scoring twice and assisting four times. His refusal to leave without proper compensation is complicating the club's summer plans.
