Narcy Drops Back-to-Back Singles ‘The Narcissists' & ‘Palm Trees'
Feb 15, 2025
Narcy has released his double-single 'The Narcissists' & 'Palm Trees', reflecting the contrasting themes of rage and love from his double LP 'To Be an (Arab)'.
The tracks arrive with visually striking music videos featuring viral Iraqi sensation Abboud Skaiba, filmed in Iraq. Blending humour with powerful imagery, the videos capture everyday life with a charismatic, braggadocious flair.
'The Narcissists' sees Narcy delivering sharp lyricism over a Thanks Joey production, critiquing the darker side of the music industry. Meanwhile, 'Palm Trees' takes a more introspective approach, exploring themes of home, love and nostalgia.
Both videos feature an unreleased B-side from 'To Be an (Arab)', hinting at more to come. The album, available exclusively on vinyl via Maktaba, includes collaborations with Dave Chappelle, Mo Amer, Talib Kweli and more. Narcy is currently touring the album, with upcoming stops in London and Dubai.
