SA U18 squads: All the schools where players come from
Western Province's Josh Neill, Markus Muller, Briint Davids, and Jordan Jooste, as well as Ethan Adams and AJ Meyer from Free State, the Sharks' Zekhethelo Siyaya, and André Poulton of the Golden Lions were included in the two squads of 26 players each.
Western Province have the most representatives in the two groups – eight players in the SA Schools team and 12 in the SA Schools 'A' squad – for the battle between the two sides.
The annual showpiece will kick off at 15:00 at Hoërskool Middelburg, hosts of the U18 Craven Week.
In the SA Schools squad, there are three players from Grey College and Westville Boys High, while Paarl Boys High is well represented in the SA Schools 'A' squad with another trio of players.
Lwazi Zangqa from Border has been named as the head coach of the SA Schools side, and he will be assisted by the Bulls' Cobus van Dyk, while the SA Schools 'A' team will be coached by Flash Malinga of the Sharks, with Clinton van Rensburg of Western Province named as his assistant. 1 Kai Pratt (SWD / Oakdale)

Currie Cup wrap: Lions, Bulls record statement wins
The Sharks and Western Province are the only two teams yet to register a win in this season's competition. The Lions are properly back to winning ways after registering a second good victory in this year's Currie Cup competition. Mziwakhe Nkosi's team followed up their first-round demolition of the Sharks (46-5) with another thumping win against Western Province (40-19) on Saturday to be two from two at this early stage of the competition. It is a powerful statement following the team's struggles in the United Rugby Championship where the Lions failed to finish in the top eight for a place in the quarter-finals. While Nkosi said he was pleased with the result and performance at Ellis Park on Saturday, he was not happy with the team's ill-discipline at times. 'The result was good for us and the performance was good in patches. I thought our breakdown showing was better than the week before but there was ill-discipline, but that's an easy fix fortunately … hands in the ruck, not rolling away, off-sides at the edges. Each guy must just take responsibility.' He added that keeping Western Province to 19 points meant the Lions 'did one or two things right'. Wins for Bulls, Cheetahs and Griquas The Lions are next up against Boland, in their first away match of the campaign. They square off in Wellington on Sunday. Sitting at the top of the points table with the Lions are their northern neighbours, the Bulls, who've also recorded two big wins so far. After opening up their campaign with a 48-23 away win against Western Province in Cape Town, they smashed the Sharks 64-0 at Loftus Versfeld this last Saturday. The Sharks, like all the teams who have a URC side, are backing their younger players during the Currie Cup, but there will be some concerns that they have won conceded 110 points in two matches and scored just one try. The Bulls are next up against the Pumas in Pretoria in what should be an intriguing match. The Pumas from Mbombela always put up a fight against the Bulls and they'll be keen to hit back after suffering a loss against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on Friday (42-25). They'll hope to find the form that saw them beat Griquas 49-28 in round one. There was, however, relief in Bloemfontein that the Cheetahs picked up a victory, after their first-round loss to Boland in Wellington. They're third on the points table, with seven points, three behind the co-leaders, the Bulls and Lions. In the final game of the round, in Kimberley on Sunday, Griquas hit back in some style to edge Boland in a thrilling 14-try contest, winning 48-39. In round three, Griquas host winless Western Province in Kimberley on Friday afternoon, while Boland return to Wellington for a clash with the unbeaten Lions on Sunday. Two quickfire tries from scrumhalf Caleb Abrahams sparked a Griquas comeback to beat the Boland Kavaliers in Kimberley on Sunday. Griquas logged their first win of the 2025 Currie Cup, scoring five second-half tries to bounce back from a 34-19 deficit at the break and win 48-39. Abrahams was matched by winger Gurshwin Wehr's try double while flyhalf George Whitehead starred off the tee, contributing 14 points to cancel out a brace of tries from Boland's Blitzboks flyer, Donovan Don. The hosts opened the scoring through winger Dylan Maart, but Boland replied swiftly. Lunathi Nxele crossed the line and fullback James Tedder converted to give the visitors the lead. 'We are not going to feel sorry for ourselves' — Sharks skipper Nick Hatton after humiliation by the Bulls
Captain Nama Xaba was also pleased with the performance, though he remained rooted in reality. 'We always want to strive for perfection but it is unrealistic to get there. Tonight's performance was excellent. We managed the first 20 according to plan and the mid-40. It took us forward. I'm proud of the guys.' Xaba pointed to the breakdown as an area for improvement. 'They put us under pressure there. The set piece was good. I can't complain about much. A week is a long time in rugby and we have to look to build on this.' For the Sharks it was another day to forget. 'We can't feel sorry for ourselves,' said downcast captain Nick Hatton. 'That was tough to take. Credit to the Bulls, They dominated the game. We got a tough lesson. 'A lot of the young guys showed some fight towards the end. We were outdone physically which was disappointing for us that we didn't stand up physically. 'It is a privilege to wear this jersey and we are not doing it justice at the moment. We are going to pick ourselves up. We are not going to feel sorry for ourselves and do what we need to do and stay in the fight. All we can promise is that we'll keep on fighting,' Hatton added.
