Throughout much of this year's CMA Fest, which ran from June 5 to 8, rainclouds hovered over Nashville, casting uncertainty on scheduled musical performances and ultimately forcing delays at Nissan Stadium one evening. But Sunday night, clear skies and warm temps setting the stage for a solid CMA Fest finale, as fans danced and sang along to new songs and classic hits. As the evening revelry continued into the wee hours of Monday morning, the roster essentially served as a display of the depth and breadth of sounds emanating from one of music's most dominant genres.
The Sunday night lineup was also one of the venue's strongest during the fest, with the main stage offering a top-shelf lineup of performances from Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Zach Top, Ashley McBryde, Rodney Atkins and Bailey Zimmerman.
'This is the greatest weekend of our lives,' Bentley told the crowd during his set. 'Call it the 'country music singers' Thanksgiving.''
On the Platform Stage, fans caught a mighty glimpse at the talents of just a few sterling newcomers, including Avery Anna's dynamic folk-pop storytelling, Kashus Culpepper's blues-drenched brand of country, and rising hitmaker Tucker Wetmore. Meanwhile, Dylan Scott further amped up attendees with a crowd-pleasing performance of 'Country Til I Die.'
Here, we look at 5 top moments at Sunday evening's Nissan Stadium show.
Rodney Atkins kicked off the evening with renditions of his hits like 'If You're Going Through Hell,' but he brought one of the evening's sweetest, most nostalgic moments when he brought his 24-year-old son Elijah onstage to sing with him. They performed a collaboration of 'Watching You,' a tender song about how a young boy pays attention to his father's choices — positive and negative — and hopes to one day be just like his old man. Atkins wrote and recorded the song when Elijah was just four years old, so to see them collaborate on the song two decades later marked a sentimental moment for many fans.
Grammy winner Ashley McBryde has forged a reputation for solid song craft and rock star-style performances, mixed with her wit and warmth as an entertainer. Her CMA Fest set at Nissan Stadium showcased her versatile performance style, as she not only offered up her own hits (like 'One Night Standards') but also introduced the Roots of Music marching band. A highlight came when she performed a cover of Don Henley's 1984 hit 'Boys of Summer,' as McBryde's commanding voice made the rock hit her own.
Last year, Zach Top played the platform stage at Nissan Stadium. This year, he's graduated to the main stage, thanks to his debut country album Cold Beer and Country Music — which gave country music an '80s/'90s-inspired elevation via breakthrough hits 'Sounds Like The Radio' and 'I Never Lie.' His throwback sound conjures imagery of sawdust floors, well-worn honkytonks and country summer nights, but also feels refreshingly modern, a sound that can bring a party atmosphere to the biggest of stages. Meanwhile, his laid-back performance style and ace musicianship combine for a performer who can draw in a crowd in any kind of venue.
'This feels like a fun, full-circle moment,' he said, then used that massive moment in the CMA Fest spotlight to introduce a new summer anthem, 'Good Times and Tan Lines,' which he released not long after his performance. The song is from Top's upcoming new album, Ain't In It For My Health, out Aug. 29.
Bailey Zimmerman brought his thousand-watt energy to Nissan Stadium's main stage on Sunday night, and brought an extra shot of star power when he welcomed BigXthaPlug for a rendition of their top 5 Billboard Hot 100 hit collab 'All The Way,' extending the genre's canon of wildly successful rap/country hybrids. Zimmerman followed with his first Hot 100 top 10 hit, the angst-fueled 'Rock and a Hard Place,' which got the audience lighting up phones across the arena and shouting the lyrics back to the stage, spurred on by Zimmerman's strong, nimble vocal performance.
Bentley gave the night a shot of humor and humbleness during his CMA Fest performance, as he took time to praise 'the all-star fans' early in his set. He went on to offer up hits both new and classic, including 'Gone,' 'Free and Easy (Down The Road I Go)' and 'Drunk on a Plane,' but also highlighted 'She Hates Me,' from his upcoming album Broken Branches (out June 13).
Of course CMA Fest's Nissan Stadium shows and collaborations make for a classic pairing, and Bentley offered up one of the evening's best when he welcomed his tourmate Top back to the stage for a cover of Alabama's 1982 hit 'Mountain Music,' with Top even lending some appealing lead guitar runs. In addition to being an established, reliable hitmaker in his own right, Bentley has been a strong proponent of championing a new generation of artists, and did so that night by saying of Top, 'Let me tell you something about this guy… this is the future of country music right here, Zach Top.'

Queer Jams of the Week: New Music From Chappell Roan, Reneé Rapp, Demi Lovato & More
In need of some new tunes from your favorite queer artists? We've got you covered. Billboard Pride is proud to present the latest edition of Queer Jams of the Week, our roundup of some of the best new music releases from LGBTQ+ artists. From Chappell Roan's long-awaited new(ish) ballad to Reneé Rapp's rowdy new album, check out just a few of our favorite releases from this week below: More from Billboard Best Festival Gear: What to Buy for Lollapalooza & Other Concerts This Summer WWE SummerSlam 2025: How to Watch the Two-Night Pro Wrestling Event Live Online Wrangler Goes All-Terrain With Latest Apparel Collection Backed by Country Star Tucker Wetmore Chappell Roan, 'The Subway' After more than a year of patience from fans, Chappell Roan is finally ready to offer them a ride on 'The Subway.' The plaintive ballad paints a vivid picture of Roan mid-heartbreak, as she recounts the mundane tale of seeing an ex on the train and going into a full-blown spiral of Big Feelings™. It's easy to see why fans have wanted a full studio version of the song — the dreamy guitars end up pairing perfectly with Roan's ethereal vocal, as she pines for the day her former flame becomes 'just another girl on the subway.' Reneé Rapp, Bite Me Reneé Rapp is ready for a switch-up. Where her excellent 2023 album Snow Angel saw the singer getting vulnerable about the hard realities surrounding her, Bite Me, her raucous new album, sees her disengaging from the hardships and opting to have fun instead. Over pop, rock, and R&B-tinged tracks, Rapp revels in sex ('Kiss It, Kiss It'), parties ('Good Girl'), and petty breakups ('That's So Funny'), all while giving some of her best vocal performances to date. The pathos and angst from Snow Angel is still present throughout, but as Rapp herself sings in the back half of the album: 'If I can't be happy, then at least I'm hot.' Demi Lovato, 'Fast' Everyone, please welcome back Demi Lovato, Pop Star. After zigging and zagging into adult contemporary and hard rock on her last few albums, the singer steps firmly back into the pop space with 'Fast,' their new dance-fueled banger. Plinking synths litter the background of the new track, alongside a beat that slowly ratchets up until bursting into an electric symphony on the chorus. But as usual, the standout on 'Fast' is Lovato's inimitable voice, as she flexes the power and versatility of her own instrument throughout this delirious new single. Slayyyter, 'Beat Up Chanel$' If Lovato's new song hasn't quite slaked your need for a high-octane new club track, then Slayyyter's should get the job done. Over a crunchy industrial beat, Slayyyter works her way through a nightlife scene packed with 'sex, money, drugs, chains on my chest, vintage Celine' and just about everything else you can hope to encounter. But she's not interested in the opulence of the scene, as suggested in both the lyrics and grimy production — Slayyyter's on a mission to find the filthy underbelly of the club. And with a track like 'Beat Up Chanel$,' she's sure to find it. Debby Friday, The Starrr of the Queen of Life After spending much of her career sowing chaos into dance tracks, Debby Friday is having an introspective moment. The Starrr of the Queen of Life finds the underground dance star still firmly situated in the club, but this time she's ready to tackle some more existential questions about her personal life ('Alberta') and about life itself ('Arcadia'), all while still providing some of her most fascinating production to date. Adam Lambert, 'Heaven on Their Minds' (Jesus Christ Superstar cover) Leave it to Adam Lambert to make a 55-year-old rock opera song sound new and vital again. Ahead of his performance this weekend in the Hollywood Bowl production of Jesus Christ Superstar alongside Cynthia Erivo, Lambert shared his rendition of the show's opening number 'Heaven on Their Minds,' letting his stratospheric voice go as far as it can. You can also hear his acting in the role of Judas throughout, as the performer brings a sense of desperation and panic to this rollicking new rendition. Zach Bryan's New Single Launches Inside The Top 10 On Multiple Charts
Zach Bryan has released more than half a dozen singles in 2025 alone, and it's not yet clear how many of them will be included on his upcoming project. What is apparent is that his latest single, "Madeline,' a duet with relatively unknown musician Gabriella Rose, is another quick smash for the singer-songwriter, one that returns him to the highest tiers on several Billboard rankings. 'Madeline' Opens Inside the Top 10 "Madeline" launches on more than half a dozen tallies in the United States this week. The tune opens inside the top 10 on three of them, thanks primarily to its quick popularity on streaming platforms. Bryan's duet with Rose opens highest, at No. 8, on the Hot Rock Songs chart. It comes in just one spot beneath that slot on the Rock Streaming Songs list, and at No. 10 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs tally. A Milestone New Smash Bryan earns his milestone thirtieth top 10 hit on the Hot Rock Songs chart as "Madeline" debuts. He only needs one more win within the same region on the Rock Streaming Songs list to reach the same landmark there as well. Meanwhile, the newly-shared collaboration marks his twenty-sixth top 10 smash on Billboard's ranking of the most consumed rock and alternative tracks in the nation. Zach Bryan's Many, Many Rock Hits When looking at his total number of placements on these three lists, there's a greater variation when compared to his top 10 successes. Bryan has now scored 47 hits on the Rock Streaming Songs ranking, while he's up to 80 on the Hot Rock Songs list, and two more on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs tally. Zach Bryan Almost Reaches the Country Top 10 "Madeline" comes close to the top 10 on a trio of country rankings, but doesn't perform quite as well as it does on the rock-leaning charts. The track misses the highest tier on the Hot Country Songs, Country Streaming Songs, and Country Digital Song Sales lists by just a few spaces. The tune also opens at No. 62 on the Hot 100, where Bryan is quickly approaching 50 placements. With Heaven on Top It appears that "Madeline" will be included on With Heaven on Top, Bryan's forthcoming project. Originally marketed as an EP, it now appears the singer-songwriter and Grammy winner may turn it into a full-length effort. At the moment, With Heaven on Top is scheduled to be released on January 9, 2026.

History Made: The First Hindi-Language Top 10 Smash On Billboard's Global Chart
Every so often, a song breaks through and shatters norms of what can be a 'hit' all around the world. It's happened in the past with different genres and languages, and the internet and streaming platforms have leveled the playing field for all musicians everywhere to reach large audiences. This week, a Hindi-language track, 'Saiyaara,' is on the rise on some of Billboard's most competitive charts, becoming a historic smash – the kind that the world hasn't seen before. Faheem Abdullah Makes His Mark Globally Faheem Abdullah's 'Saiyaara' is rewriting the rulebook when it comes to international commercial success. This week, the soaring ballad debuts at No. 10 on the Billboard Global 200 and catapults to No. 4 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart. That leap — from No. 177 the week prior — isn't just impressive, it's one of the largest of all time. The song is featured in the film Saiyaara, helmed by director Mohit Suri and starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, and the movie has quickly become a blockbuster in India, and it may soon score a worldwide release. A First for India — and for Hindi According to Billboard, 'Saiyaara' is the first Hindi-language track to break into the top 10 on either of the global rankings. It is also the first song by an Indian artist to achieve the feat. Billboard's global charts, which launched in 2020, have become the definitive measure of a song's reach across international markets, regardless of language or genre. Streaming Surge Pushes 'Saiyaara' Skyward According to Luminate, 'Saiyaara' pulled in 98 million streams during the week ending July 24. That figure is up a staggering 321% from the previous frame. That kind of growth is rare for any cut, and for an Indian release, it's almost unheard of. Indian Soundtracks Enter the Global Conversation Indian cinema and music have long gone hand-in-hand, but rarely has that synergy resulted in a worldwide crossover as powerful as 'Saiyaara' has managed. While songs from Bollywood films occasionally pop up on international charts, none have climbed as high as 'Saiyaara.' The Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. rankings have made room in the past few years for Korean, Japanese, and Spanish-language hits, but until now, no Hindi song had broken into the top tier, and the tune could continue to climb in the coming frames.
