Al-Nahda team wins championship of summer schools sports league in Al-Thawra District

Al-Nahda neighborhood team was crowned champion of the football league for students of summer courses in Al-Thawra District, within the capital Secretariat.
The league, organized by the Youth and Sports Office and the Educational Zone in the district, in cooperation with Al-Sha'ab Social Foundation and under the supervision of the Subcommittee for Summer Activities and Courses, featured six teams divided into two groups.
Al-Nahda team secured the league title after a seven-day competition by defeating Al-Ghuraf neighborhood team 4-2 in the final match.
At the closing ceremony, the district director, Aqeel Al-Saqqaf, the deputy director of the Youth Office in the Secretariat, Zaid Jahaf, the mobilization official in the district, Saddam Al-Hababi, and the director of the Youth Office in the district, Mohammed Al-Mutawakkil, honored the Al-Nahda team with the championship trophy. Additionally, the teams of Al-Ghuraf and Al-Hasaba Al-Shamaliya were awarded colored medals.
Al-Saqqaf and Al-Hababi emphasized the importance of summer activities and courses in building a conscious generation equipped with knowledge, science, and Quranic culture, as well as nurturing students' talents and creative abilities.
Meanwhile, Al-Mutawakkil noted that 90 players from summer school students across various neighborhoods in Al-Thawra District participated in the league, with the aim of forming a district team to compete in the upcoming capital-level championship.
