Watch: Braden Fiske looks explosive in workouts after having offseason knee surgery
The Los Angeles Rams had to face the Philadelphia Eagles without Braden Fiske for most of the game in the divisional round after he suffered a knee injury in the first quarter. It was a tough loss for the Rams, who nearly beat the eventual champions to advance to the NFC title game.
It's unclear exactly what the injury was but it was severe enough to require a minor procedure this offseason. There were no concerns about his availability for the 2025 season and based on a video shared by the Rams, he appears to be right on track.
Fiske shared an update in this behind-the-scenes video, saying he's in a 'really good spot' mentally. He sure looks every bit as explosive as he was pre-injury, too.
'Mentally, I'm in a really good spot,' Fiske said. 'I think early on in the offseason, it's easy to dread on everything that's going on. It's easier to make excuses instead of solutions. It's hard to feel like a football player when all you do is small movements. You're just in there constantly doing the same thing but your body's your temple in this game and I'm constantly just trying to improve my craft and get my body feeling good.'
Fiske is an integral part of the Rams' defense, providing an immediate impact as a rookie last season. He led the team with 8.5 sacks and also had 10 quarterback hits to go along with 44 total tackles, playing all 17 games and making eight starts.
He should continue to get better as he becomes even more comfortable in the NFL, so the sky's the limit for him entering Year 2.

Aaron Donald Has Officially Returned to Rams Training Camp

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Los Angeles Rams are currently in the midst of training camp, and the team received a massive visit. Former Rams legend Aaron Donald has officially returned. However, there have been plenty of rumors regarding Donald either ending his retirement or heading into coaching. Further reports showcased Donald speaking to Rams general manager Les Snead. Though the pair could be simply chatting and catching up, this could lead to more fruitful conversations. DETROIT, MICHIGAN - JANUARY 14: Aaron Donald #99 of the Los Angeles Rams looks on from the sideline prior to an NFC Wild Card Playoff football game against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on January 14, 2024 in Detroit, Michigan. Aaron Donald might not be as retired as he says he is, according to Rams legend Marshall Faulk. MoreMore news: Chargers and Keenan Allen Reunion Could Happen Soon Donald played all 10 seasons with the Rams and was a monster pass rusher. He set a career high of 20.5 sacks in 2018 and put together a career of 111.0 sacks through those 10 seasons. Donald also secured three Defensive Player of the Year nods, 10 Pro Bowl nods, and eight First-team All-Pro nods. He should be an easy first-ballot Hall of Famer as well. Though there have been rumors that Donald could end his retirement, that might not be the case. It would be more plausible that he would instead want to come over and help to coach the defense to some degree. Either way, the Rams getting a visit from their former defensive legend was sure to fire up the team. The Rams surprised everyone in 2024 when they were viewed as a "rebuilding" team. Despite the rough start of 1-4, the team would rifle off a 5-1 record in the final six games of the regular season. Matthew Stafford played a wonderful season despite also having to deal with a severely injured offensive line. The Rams would make it to the postseason and handily beat the then-red-hot Minnesota Vikings in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Sadly, Los Angeles' postseason berth was cut short when they lost in the Divisional Round to the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. Things are looking up for the Rams, and the team was able to land star wide receiver Davante Adams in free agency. Also, Jared Verse is one of the most dynamic defensive players in the league and has been spending time with Donald. The pair could link up even more should Donald stick around for more time with the team. For more on the Rams and NFL, head to Newsweek Sports.

Philadelphia Eagles Star Hit with Sudden Injury Blow

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. With the first week of the NFL Preseason approaching for the Philadelphia Eagles, the team is dealing with notable injuries in the wide receiver group. AJ Brown is the latest addition. The star wideout is reportedly dealing with a hamstring injury. While the injury doesn't seem overly concerning at this time, it will be something to monitor as the offseason plays out. After all, hamstring setbacks tend to get tricky. Hamstring injury for A.J. Brown. — Jeff McLane (@Jeff_McLane) August 3, 2025 Brown has been Jalen Hurts' top wideout since he landed with the Eagles via trade in 2022. Brown started his NFL career with the Tennessee Titans, but was traded following his third season. The Eagles have surely benefited from the presence of Brown, who kicked off his Eagles stint with nearly 1,500 yards and over 10 touchdowns. In 2022, Brown was the top wideout on the NFC Champions, who came up just short against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. Two years ago, Brown had another spectacular season with the Eagles, as he caught a career-high 106 passes. He nearly notched his career-high once again, after posting 1,456 yards. He also found the endzone for seven scores in 17 games. A.J. Brown #11 talks to Saquon Barkley #26 of the Philadelphia Eagles during the Philadelphia Eagles Training Camp at NovaCare Complex on July 28, 2025 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A.J. Brown #11 talks to Saquon Barkley #26 of the Philadelphia Eagles during the Philadelphia Eagles Training Camp at NovaCare Complex on July 28, 2025 in Philadelphia, year, the Eagles' passing game was slightly concerning throughout the year. It showed in Jalen Hurts' passing numbers and in Brown's receiving production as well. Dealing with injuries at times, Brown appeared in just 13 games for Philadelphia last year. He caught just 67 passes, which was by far his lowest since joining the Eagles. The star wide receiver still cracked the 1,000-yard mark, but not by much. He reached the endzone for seven touchdowns. Despite a lack of regular-season production, Brown would shine throughout the playoffs. In four games, he produced a playoff career-high 163 yards and scored twice. One of his touchdowns came in the Super Bowl, where the Eagles dominated the Chiefs, getting their revenge from a couple of seasons ago. The chances of Brown getting burn in the preseason were likely always going to be slim this season. Since the 28-year-old is well-established at this stage in his career, he doesn't need the meaningless reps before a long season. Still, the setback is notable. Brown will be a player to keep an eye on in the coming days. For more Philadelphia Eagles and NFL news, head over to Newsweek Sports.
