SPANGRAM: CHASING RAINBOWS
My rating: Easy
My score: Perfect
Wow. Strands, I didn't know you could do this.
After a year or so of playing this game, it is really fun when something unexpected happens, like today's color explosion – a tribute to International LGBT Pride Day yesterday, the NYC Pride March today and the six colors of the rainbow flag.
I must admit I really struggled to put together the spangram CHASING RAINBOWS seeing the whole thing in three stages – first rainbows, then sing, then chasing. All worth it, of course.
How did you do today? Let me know in the comments below.

US to revoke visas for Glastonbury band over anti-Israel chant
The United States said on Monday it was revoking visas for the British punk-rap group Bob Vylan, which led a chant at the Glastonbury festival calling for the death of the Israeli military. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau said that the United States has 'revoked the US visas for the members of the Bob Vylan band in light of their hateful tirade at Glastonbury, including leading the crowd in death chants.' 'Foreigners who glorify violence and hatred are not welcome visitors to our country,' he posted on X. The @StateDept has revoked the US visas for the members of the Bob Vylan band in light of their hateful tirade at Glastonbury, including leading the crowd in death chants. Foreigners who glorify violence and hatred are not welcome visitors to our country. — Christopher Landau (@DeputySecState) June 30, 2025 President Donald Trump's administration has aggressively revoked visas, mostly of students, over anti-Israel activism. Bob Vylan, a London-based duo combining punk riffs and hip-hop delivery whose lyricism often tackles racism, led a chant of 'Death to the IDF,' the initials of the Israel Defense Forces, at the celebrated music festival. Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the group's 'appalling hate speech' and the BBC apologised for not pulling a livestream. The controversy comes after a protracted dispute over another act at Glastonbury, politically charged Belfast hip-hop group Kneecap, who sharply criticised Israel's actions in Gaza when performing in April at the Coachella festival in California. Glastonbury rebuffed pressure from Starmer to remove Kneecap from the roster, but the BBC did not stream Kneecap's performance. Both Kneecap and Bob Vylan, who also played Coachella, had dates scheduled for later this year in the United States.

Ryan Gosling is sent to space in 'Project Hail Mary' official trailer
Ryan Gosling is a reluctant space traveler in the official trailer for "Project Hail Mary." The Amazon MGM film is based on the New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by Andy Weir. It follows middle school teacher Ryland Grace, played by Gosling, who finds himself on a spacecraft with no memory of his past or even how he arrived there. Ryland must successfully complete an interstellar mission to save Earth from disaster. This leads him to meet an alien who is also trying to save its own species. The best of Ryan Gosling "I just woke up from a coma. I'm several light years from my apartment, and I'm not an astronaut," Ryland says in the trailer. In another scene, Ryland repeats to a room full of scientists and experts, "I'm not an astronaut," to which Oscar nominee Sandra Hüller, who plays Eva, responds, "If you don't go, you die. With the rest of us." Ryland does not respond well to the idea of taking on such a dangerous mission. "I put the 'not' in astronaut," he says. "I've never done anything. I've never done a space--I can't even moonwalk!" Oscar-winning filmmaking duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller directed the upcoming movie. Milana Vayntrub, Lionel Boyce and Ken Leung star alongside Gosling and Hüller in the film. "Project Hail Mary" blasts off into movie theaters and IMAX screens on March 20, 2026.
