The Boks vs Italy second Test will kick-off at Loftus just after 5pm on Saturday, July 12 and can be watched on SABC 2 or listened to via SABC radio stations and SuperSport TV on DSTV.
According to the South African Rugby Union, the agreement is aligned with celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of the Springboks' historic 1995 Rugby World Cup victory.
SuperSport and the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) have struck a deal to allow the second Test between the Springboks and Italy to be aired by the public broadcaster.
SARugby President Mark Alexander said the 1995 Rugby World Cup Victory was a pivotal step for the young democracy in finding its feet.
'As SARU, we are working closely with our broadcasters to ensure that all South Africans can be part of this historic occasion,' Alexander said.
SABC CEO Nomsa Chabeli said it was important that the public broadcaster be included in national sporting events of such a magnitude.
'This agreement also highlights the reach that the public broadcaster has in universal access to the nation through its TV and radio platforms, as millions of South Africans will have an opportunity to witness this historic moment.
'We call upon all South Africans to tune in, as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of our Rugby World Cup win in 1995,' Chabeli said.
SuperSport CEO Rendani Ramovha said their organisation was 'pleased' to contribute to celebrations.
To top things off, the Boks officially launched their first merchandise store in Sandton, Gauteng, which opened at 9am on Friday morning.
Besides being the first store, the store will also serve as a combat method to the plethora of counterfeit Springbok merchandise that is currently for sale in South Africa, explained Rian Obelholzer - CEO of SA Rugby.
'The Exco recognised there was a gap in the market that others were exploiting and that there was an opportunity and a need for SA Rugby to meet that demand and retain the value for the benefit of rugby.
'The intention is that this store will be followed by others in due course with a range of clothing that will allow rugby fans to show their support for the Springboks in many different items of clothing – it's not just for Saturdays,' Obelholzer said.

Home Affairs minister praises child refugee Vincent Tshituka

Minister of Home Affairs Leon Schreiber has praised Springbok Vincent Tshituka and his brother Emmanuel, who recently received their South African identity documents. The siblings came to the country with their parents as refugees after fleeing the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). On his X account, Minister of Home Affairs Leon Schreiber praised Emmanuel and Vincent Tshituka for their new status as South African naturalised citizens. He posted: 'Vincent and Emmanuel Tshituka came to SA as child refugees from DRC. 'Yesterday, I had the honour of watching Vincent make his debut for the Springboks after naturalising them. The latest reminder from our Boks that – no matter our background – we truly are Stronger Together'. Vincent Tshituka, his parents, and his three siblings fled the DRC in 2002 amid political unrest in the country. Recently, the siblings finally received their documentation, which enabled their integration into the national team after attending the Springbok alignment camp earlier this year. In May, the Department of Home Affairs announced that naturalised citizens would now be eligible to receive smart cards. On his Instagram, Vincent Tshituka shared his pride at representing South Africa as a Springbok in his first test match. The national rugby squad played against Italy at Loftus on Saturday, 5 July. Vincent posted: 'All I can say is, thank you, God! It's something I couldn't have even begun to dream of since I was a kid, and now it actually happened. A dream realised! CRAZY!' Springboks: One more injury worry!

The Springboks picked up an expected win over Italy at Loftus, but Rassie Erasmus has already said he will reconsider his selections for the second Test because of the unconvincing performance, and to handle the challenge posed by a young and hungry Azzurri. 'Internally we've announced that 13, 14 players that will definitely get a run next week, and that we'd build the bench or starting line-up around those guys,' he said. 'We won't discard those guys but some of them might move to the bench, some of the real standout players who played today might start again.' As Erasmus reconsiders his selections, there is also an injury to Damian de Allende that will need to be factored in after he strained his hamstring, with the full severity of the injury still to be determined. 'We have to pick nine guys to go with the others and we have to decide whether they start or come off the bench. Damian De Allende has a bit of a hamstring but luckily, we don't have any (major) injuries, just a few bruised egos.' Damian de Allende (hamstring): The latest player to be added to the Springboks' injury list, it remains to be seen what scans may reveal about the severity of this. Pieter-Steph du Toit (shoulder): Du Toit has made a good recovery and should be ready for the second Test against Italy, or the one-off clash against Georgia. Cameron Hanekom (hamstring): The talented loose forward has undergone surgery, and is only likely to be available at the back-end of the Rugby Championship, or for the end-of-year tour. Juarno Augustus (back): The powerful loose forward, who is set to join Ulster next season, has been unable to join up with the Springboks as expected due to an unfortunate injury issue that will also see him miss the July Tests. Gerhard Steenekamp (knee): The 28-year-old hasn't featured since early March when he suffered a knee injury that led to some unfortunate complications following a minor procedure. It's hoped that he will be ready for the Rugby Championship. Ntuthuko Mchunu (knee): Another prop who will be out for some time, with the Springboks only expected to be able to consider calling on his services at some point during the Rugby Championship. Frans Malherbe (back): He is set to be rested for the July internationals, but the big prop should hopefully be available at some point in the Rugby Championship. Lukhanyo Am (knee): There will be some concern over the fact that the outside centre has been released as a result of a troublesome knee injury, and although his recovery timeline has not been specified, it's expected that he will only come back into contention for the Rugby Championship. Elrigh Louw (leg): He has unfortunately been ruled out for the entire 2025 season. Ben-Jason Dixon (wrist): The loose forward will miss the July internationals, but could be back in contention during the Rugby Championship. Deon Fourie (ankle): The veteran utility forward should be back in training before the Rugby Championship. Trevor Nyakane (ruptured Achilles tendon): The Springbok stalwart is only likely to be back towards the end of 2025. HOW MANY GAMES DO YOU THINK THE TEAM WILL WIN THIS YEAR? Steenberg Vineyards unveils 'The Catharina Experience'

Steenberg Vineyards has launched The Catharina Experience . This is an exclusive winter competition that promises to immerse wine lovers in the rich history and luxury of one of South Africa's oldest wine estates. Running from 1 July to 24 August 2025, this eight-week event celebrates the indomitable spirit of Catharina Ras. Catharina is Steenberg's founder and the Cape's first female landowner. Ras arrived in the Cape in 1662. She defied the expectations of her time, carving out a life of independence and resilience. Her journey took her from Rondebosch to Bo Kaap, and finally to the land that would become Steenberg. Her legacy is one of courage and determination, qualities that still define the estate today, according to Life Brands. 'Our wines are a true reflection of Catharina's fearless character, bold yet elegant, powerful yet refined,' says Elunda Basson, Steenberg's Winemaker. 'At a time when South Africans are looking for connection, authenticity, and experiences that carry meaning, we believe our wines offer a story in every sip. The Catharina Experience is an opportunity for guests to engage with this rich heritage while enjoying the exceptional quality of our wines.' Steenberg values the event at R120,000 and offers guests a four-night curated adventure through Cape Town and Steenberg's storied grounds. The itinerary echoes Catharina's journey. Day 1: Arrive in Cape Town and check in at Banksia Boutique Hotel in Rosebank, close to where Catharina first settled. Enjoy a Clifton cruise, followed by a private dinner with a Steenberg wine tasting led by Cellarmaster Elunda Basson.
