During an interview with actress Soha Ali Khan on Hauterrfly's YouTube channel, Fakhri shared personal insights into her disciplined health journey, particularly highlighting a nine-day water-only fast that she follows biannually. Her description of the regimen left the host visibly surprised, as she described the physically and mentally demanding nature of the process.
Fakhri explained that for nine consecutive days, she abstains from all solid food and consumes only water. Despite its evident difficulty, she acknowledged noticeable physical benefits post-fast, including a more sculpted facial structure and a naturally radiant complexion. However, she also expressed that such rigorous routines are not universally advisable and should not be seen as quick-fix solutions.
"Once I'm done, I'm telling you, you look snatched. I mean, the jawline is out, and the face is glowing. But I wouldn't recommend it..." she said.

The Rockstar actress emphasized that sustainable well-being cannot be achieved through extreme shortcuts. Instead, she advocated for a well-rounded, long-term approach to health. According to her, wellness stems from a consistent commitment to everyday practices rather than occasional, drastic efforts. Sleep, hydration, and mindful eating form the foundation of her routine. She pointed out that she ensures a minimum of eight hours of quality sleep each night, remains thoroughly hydrated, and makes food choices rich in nutrients, vitamins, and minerals.
Having stepped back from the limelight for a while, Fakhri has recently made a notable return with Housefull 5, rekindling interest in her career and lifestyle choices. She originally entered Bollywood with the 2011 musical romance Rockstar, starring opposite Ranbir Kapoor, and went on to feature in films such as Main Tera Hero, Azhar, Housefull 3, and Dishoom. Her energetic performance in the song Dhating Naach, alongside Shahid Kapoor, also gained significant popularity.
Understanding Water Fasting
According to
Medical News Today
,
water fasting
refers to a dietary practice where individuals abstain from all forms of food intake and consume only water over a set period. This method is typically short-term, with most fasts not extending beyond 24 hours. Health experts advise caution for those considering longer durations and recommend consulting healthcare professionals beforehand.
Experts suggest consuming two to three liters of mineral-rich water daily during the fasting period to compensate for electrolytes lost through regular bodily functions. While water fasting may support temporary weight loss and help manage conditions like high blood pressure, cholesterol, and insulin resistance, it must be balanced with healthy meals and physical activity between fasts. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) notes that gradual, consistent weight loss is generally more sustainable and beneficial over time than rapid reductions.
Who Should Avoid Water Fasting?
Water fasting is not suitable for everyone and may pose serious health risks for certain individuals. Those who should refrain from this practice include
Individuals who are underweight or have a low body mass index (BMI), as fasting can lead to further nutritional deficiencies.
People with heart conditions or cardiovascular issues, since fasting can put additional stress on the heart and affect blood pressure levels.
Those diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, due to the risk of dangerous fluctuations in blood sugar levels.
Individuals who suffer from unmanaged or frequent migraines, as fasting may trigger or worsen headaches.
Anyone currently undergoing blood transfusions, as fasting can interfere with the body's ability to recover and maintain balance during treatment.
People who are on regular medications, especially those that require food intake for proper absorption or to avoid side effects.

Kunwar Vikram Soni trains for three hours intensively for Vasudha's knife combat sequence
Vasudha, known for its strong characters and emotionally charged storytelling, gears up for a dramatic twist this week. In an upcoming episode packed with emotion and adrenaline, Madhav (played by Kunwar Vikram Soni) makes a gripping return, stepping into a high-tension knife fight that tests his courage, instincts, and sense of duty. Unlike choreographed fight scenes often seen on television, this sequence is raw, intense, and deeply emotional. Every move Madhav makes—every block, every strike is driven by his need to protect Divya (Subhanshi Raghuwanshi), who has been kidnapped. To prepare for the physically demanding sequence, Kunwar Vikram underwent extensive training with the show's stunt team. He spent over three hours initially, and nearly five hours across two major set pieces—one involving knife-to-knife combat and another where Madhav faces off against an armed gang. The training focused on mastering knife-handling techniques, footwork, partner coordination, and keeping the movements realistic yet impactful. What made this sequence even more challenging was the need to perform stylised yet grounded knife tricks—something new for Kunwar Vikram. To elevate his performance, he drew inspiration from the recent action film Kill, particularly Lakshya's portrayal of Amrit and Raghav Juyal's Fani—both of whom brought a raw and unpredictable charged energy to their fight scenes. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like An engineer reveals: One simple trick to get internet without a subscription Techno Mag Learn More Undo Speaking about the experience, Kunwar Vikram Soni said, 'This wasn't a typical action scene—it had to feel real. Madhav is not a trained fighter, but he's the kind of person who will step up when it matters most. That meant every movement had to look improvised, instinctive, and emotionally charged. We worked a lot on blade control, partner coordination, and staying in the moment. I drew inspiration from Hrithik Roshan's calm precision in Vikram Vedha, but also from the film Kill—particularly Lakshya's portrayal of Amrit and Raghav Juyal's Fani. The way they handled the knife—fast, unpredictable, yet emotionally anchored—really stayed with me.' He added, 'We trained for three hours before the main take and almost five hours across two key sequences, repeating drills with real knives, adjusting blocking and camera angles, and slowly building up intensity. The director was completely invested—guiding us with clarity, fine-tuning every action, and making sure the emotion behind each move felt authentic. While Madhav is obviously not as morally complex as those characters, I tried to channel the same quiet intensity and desperation—the energy that comes from someone fighting with heart, not skill. Nothing in the fight could feel staged—it had to come from instinct, from adrenaline, from heart.' Madhav steps in to help Divya—but will he be able to save her? As the plot unfolds, will the Chauhan family be able to find out who was behind the kidnapping? Abhishek Sharma spills beans of his makeup routine for his character Devansh in Vasudha

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan's daughter Aaradhya is not on social media and doesn't have a phone — Here's why
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan 's love story has long been one of Bollywood's most loved romances. In 2007, they tied the knot in a grand wedding ceremony that caught the eye of the entire nation. A few years later, they welcomed their daughter Aaradhya into the world, bringing even more joy to the Bachchan family. Abhishek showers praise on Aishwarya for raising Aaradhya In a recent chat with Nayandeep Rakshit on his YouTube channel, Abhishek Bachchan opened up about how they are bringing up Aaradhya. He did not shy away from giving all the credit to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the way their daughter is being raised. 'I have to give the credit of everything entirely to her mother. I have the liberty and I go out to make my movies but Aishwarya does the heavy lifting with Aaradhya. She is amazing. Selfless. I find it amazing. Just mothers in general, I don't think fathers have the ability to be as giving, maybe we are wired differently, we are more about going out, we have to do something, we have to work, we are goal-oriented. And to be able to say, 'No, this is my baby and this is my top priority for me,' I think it's amazing and it's a gift. That's why possibly our go-to people are mothers. So for Aaradhya, yes, absolutely, the entire credit goes to Aishwarya.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like An engineer reveals: One simple trick to get internet without a subscription Techno Mag Learn More Undo Aaradhya stays away from social media and does not have a phone In a time when most youngsters are busy with Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat, Aaradhya Bachchan stands out. Abhishek revealed that their daughter is not on any social media platform and doesn't even own a mobile phone yet. 'She is not on any social media, doesn't have a phone also. I think she is brought up to be a very conscientious girl and I think that's also a testimony to her individually. I don't want to take away from her what she is personally. She is who she is and she is turning out to be a wonderful little lady. She is the pride and joy of the family. So yeah, we are blessed. And at the end of the day, it's that happiness is coming home to a happy and healthy family. That is so important,' said Abhishek. Why Abhishek himself is less active on social media these days It's not just Aaradhya who is staying away from social media. Even Abhishek Bachchan has become less active on platforms like Twitter and Instagram. In an interview with ETimes, he explained why. "Partially yes, and also I feel currently, sadly, and I'm the first person who used to say if you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen but I just feel a lot of social media is just about baiting. It's not a place where you can have a healthy discussion. When it first started you could have a healthy debate or discourse with somebody. Now it's not that. I use it more professionally now." What's next for Abhishek Bachchan? Abhishek was last seen in 'Kaalidhar Laapata' and is currently shooting for 'King'.
