Well, in what seems to be a mega week for '90s and '00s UK babies, now we have more good news from the Beeb ― the broadcaster recently shared on Instagram that nostalgic hit Balamory is 'returning to CBeebies next year.'
Originally made from 2002-2005 (a run so short, fans previously expressed shock at the hit's outsized impact), the BBC iPlayer page added: 'Expect the classic theme song, colourful houses, and some familiar faces!' in their caption.

Who'll be in the new Balamory cast?
On their site, the BBC said that Balamory will 'blend familiar faces with a host of new characters.'
Returning to their roles will be Julie Wilson Nimmo (Miss Hoolie), Andrew Agnew (PC Plum), Kim Tserkezie (Penny Pocket) and Juliet Cadzow (Edie McCredie).
New faces will include 'scientist and inventor Ava Potts (played by Danielle Jam), the Harbour Master (William Andrews) and local vet Dr Ollie (Carl Spencer) who lives with his two children.'
Kate Morton, Head of Commissioning for zero-to-six-year-olds at BBC Children's and Education, said: 'It's wonderful to see some of the original cast returning alongside new faces, creating a perfect mix of nostalgia and discovery for families to enjoy together.
'This vibrant new series will delight both children and the grown-ups who remember it fondly' (I'm in the latter camp).

Jay Blades in court after separate rape charges emerge
TV presenter Jay Blades has appeared in court on a controlling or coercive behaviour charge after it emerged he has been separately accused of two counts of rape. West Mercia Police said the 55-year-old is due to appear at Telford Magistrates' Court on August 13 on the rape charges. On Tuesday, Blades, who fronted primetime BBC show The Repair Shop, appeared at Worcester Crown Court via video link for a preliminary hearing in relation to the controlling or coercive behaviour charge. Blades, who wore animal-print spectacles, a grey suit and a blue polka-dot tie, spoke only to confirm his name during a short hearing. The TV star previously denied engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour towards his estranged wife Lisa-Marie Zbozen between January 1 2023 and September 12 last year. He faces trial at a later date. In a statement on Tuesday, police also confirmed separate charges of rape. The force said: 'Jason Blades, 55, of Claverley in Shropshire, has been charged with two counts of rape. 'He is due to appear at Telford Magistrates' Court on 13 August 2025.' Furniture restorer Blades found fame on restoration programme The Repair Shop, which he started presenting in 2017. He also presented the BBC's Money For Nothing until 2020, and appeared on Celebrity Masterchef and Celebrity Bake Off as well as Comic Relief.

The Love Island 2025 final is currently underway and former contestant Montana Brown has only gone and dropped a major bombshell about one of this year's contestants just hours before the season is due to wrap up. Taking to her TikTok account where she has 581,000 followers Brown alleged that Harry Cooksley who is currently coupled up with Shakira Khan was actually dating one of her friends right before he went on the dating show. Urging viewers not to vote for him, she said: "Guys, I've not been involved in the whole Love Island chat. But I know tonight is the final - so this is the tea, right. "Harry was literally seeing someone that I knew, one of my good friends, right before he went on Love Island. He wrote her a letter and said, 'Oh my gosh. I know you're going to be really surprised at this, but I still love you and, you know, we're going to be together. And I just need to sort my head out.' You know, all of this crap." She continued: "And now, I'm like, this guy cannot win! Although, I love Shakira. From what I've seen of her, she's incredible. "So I think we just have to think about - let's save Shakira and not let them win. Because he will just grab the money and run from what we know about him. So that's the tea from me." Montana went on to say that Harry made up an excuse as to why he wouldn't be around. " Also, he told my friend he was going to Bali. Need I say more?!" she said. Oasis says they're ‘shocked and saddened' after fan falls to his death at Wembley show
A man fell to his death at the Oasis concert on Saturday at Wembley Stadium, British Metropolitan Police have confirmed. In a statement given to the BBC, officials said they responded to a report that a man in his 40s had been injured at the show around 10:19 p.m. BST. After discovering 'injuries consistent with a fall,' the man was pronounced dead at the scene. 'The stadium was busy, and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage,' officials said. They then called for any information regarding the incident to be reported. It is believed the man fell from the stadium's upper tier. No additional details were added concerning the cause of the fall, though some attendees who witnessed the incident suggested that the man may have slipped. 'So much beer was being thrown throughout the whole concert,' one woman told the Guardian. 'I was surprised they allowed people to bring drinks into the stands. It made the floor really slippy.' Another fan, John, says he saw many fans leaning against the balcony from block 511, where witnesses claim the fall took place. 'There were loads of people who just kept going down to the front and leaning right over. One guy was stopped, but after that, no security came down,' he said. 'There's a rail and a small guard, but it did make me think someone could quite easily get knocked off there.' He was also critical of alcohol consumption at the show, adding that he 'constantly saw people with cardboard cup holders full of pints.' The Gallagher brothers shocked the world when they reunited after 15 years, following a widely publicized and bitter fallout in 2009.
