SSB recovers hand grenade close to India-Nepal border
Motihari: Sashashtra Seema Bal (SSB) jawans recovered a hand grenade on Maitri bridge, close to custom checkpost at Raxaul on India-Nepal border, on Wednesday. The SSB jawan informed the police and SSB commandant about the recovery of the bomb. Sanjay Raut, in charge commandant of 47 Battalion of SSB at Raxaul, said some children who were bathing in the Sarisawa river near Maitri bridge found the hand grenade in the river and started playing with it like a toy. When the SSB jawans spotted the grenade, they took its possession. According to police, some criminals or Maoists while entering Raxaul from Nepal might have thrown the grenade in the Sarisawa river out of fear of the SSB jawans.
