Trump's top meme coin investors invited to White House
Sangrok Oh, a Korean crypto investor and entrepreneur, told ABC News on Friday that he and other top investors had been invited to tour the White House Friday afternoon, though it was not clear to him whether Trump himself would meet them.
"So, we're going to visit and tour the White House [and] at the same time talk about crypto industries and the future of crypto," Oh said.

Thursday night's black tie event, held at Trump's Washington-area golf club, was attended by around 200 cryptocurrency traders, including many from overseas, who gained admission through a contest that awarded invitations to the top investors in Trump's meme coin -- with at least some of the funds flowing directly into the Trump family's coffers.
Critics have blasted the gala as a "pay for play" event in which investors who poured millions into Trump's crypto coin got special access to the president.
News that top $TRUMP coin investors would visit the White House appeared to contradict White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt's assertion Thursday that the president was attending the crypto gala in a personal capacity, and that since the dinner did not take place at the White House, it was separate from his official duties.
"The president is attending [the dinner] in his personal time," Leavitt said Thursday. "It is not a White House dinner. It's not taking place here at the White House."
The White House did not immediately respond on Friday to a request for comment from ABC News.
Cherry Hsu, an executive at MemeCore, a Singapore-based blockchain startup, said the firm's founder, known publicly as "Ice," had also been invited to the White House on Friday afternoon. MemeCore, according to the contest leaderboard, finished second in the competition with $TRUMP coin holdings in excess of $1 million.
And late Friday, Justin Sun, a Chinese crupto mogul and the top investor in Trump's meme coin, posted a highly produced video of his White House tour, writing on X, 'Was an honor to be invited to tour the @WhiteHouse. Such a privilege to see it in person.'
In addition to his multimillion-dollar investment in $TRUMP, Sun has also invested $75 million in World Liberty Financial, another Trump-backed crypto venture. One month after that investment, SEC lawyers under the Trump administration moved to halt an alleged fraud case against Sun.
The Trump meme coin's website at one point earlier this month advertised a "Special VIP White House tour" for the top 25 meme coin holders as part of the contest -- but as of last week, the site said only that a "Special VIP tour" would be arranged, without mentioning the White House.
The site also included a disclaimer saying the tour was being arranged by the Fight Fight Fight LLC, and that the president himself would be appearing as a "guest."

Are you traveling abroad with a green card as a guarantee of your re-entry into the United States? Customs and Border Protection (CBP) warns that you may experience difficulty entering under certain circumstances. The Trump Administration's new immigration policies include stricter screening of those entering the country through any port of entry, including those with legal permanent resident status. The CBP published a strongly-worded message on social media Tuesday detailing the current conditions for green card holders returning to the United States. 'Having a criminal record does not make you an honorable legal permanent resident. Possessing a green card is a privilege, not a right,' warns the CBP post. The agency notes that the United States government, 'under the laws of our nation,' has the authority to revoke green cards if laws are violated or abused. 'In addition to immigration removal proceedings, lawful permanent residents who present themselves at a U.S. port of entry with prior criminal convictions may be subject to mandatory detention,' the notice states. The warning is similar to previous messages directed at visa holders, in which federal agencies emphasize that immigration benefits can be revoked, which could lead to deportation. Under the Trump administration, foreigners have been deported even for minor offenses such as driving under the influence (DWI), according to official reports. After unceremoniously withdrawing the nomination for NASA administrator of Jared Isaacman — a SpaceX astronaut tourist who was handpicked by billionaire Elon Musk — president Donald Trump is desperately trying to fit the role. In a baffling move, Trump announced on Wednesday that transportation secretary Sean Duffy will temporarily take up the position, while still keeping his other gig. "Sean is doing a TREMENDOUS job in handling our Country's Transportation Affairs, including creating a state-of-the-art Air Traffic Control systems, while at the same time rebuilding our roads and bridges, making them efficient, and beautiful, again," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "Honored to accept this mission," Duffy responded, in a cringeworthy tweet, laden with emojis. Yes, you read that right. Duffy, who already appeared woefully unprepared following a deadly midair collision at Reagan National Airport in January — which occurred on his first day in office — will take the helm of an agency in crisis. Trump's motivation isn't difficult to make out, especially following his spectacular breakup with former close ally Musk. In March, Duffy reportedly got in a shouting match with Musk over the state of the Federal Aviation Administration's equipment for tracking airplanes. The role of NASA administrator became extremely contentious as things unraveled between Trump and Musk. In a move that could easily be seen as retribution, Trump pulled Isaacman's nomination early last month, despite the wealthy space tourist enjoying widespread support among members of Congress. Over the weekend, Trump blasted Isaacman, one of Musk's "close friends," in a rambling Truth Social post, claiming that he was "surprised to learn that he was a blue blooded Democrat," and "thought it inappropriate that a very close friend of Elon, who was in the Space Business, run NASA, when NASA is such a big part of Elon's corporate life." It would be an understatement to say that Duffy has his work cut out as the interim administrator. NASA is facing an existential threat in the form of catastrophic budget cuts, which could leave major, flagship missions into deep space in peril. The Trump administration's proposed 2026 budget for the agency could leave it in ruins, ripping up plans for key space telescopes and interplanetary missions. Earlier this week, Politico reported that more than 2,100 senior employees would be leaving the agency, a move that could shake NASA to its core. Considering Duffy already has an enormous amount of responsibility on his shoulders as transportation secretary, it's clear Trump doesn't see NASA as a top priority. Duffy is also one among many cabinet members who hold multiple job titles, highlighting just how few officials are seemingly able to pass Trump's loyalty test. It's possible Trump is simply looking to buy himself some time to rescue an agency facing an existential crisis. Duffy will likely be facing a litany of questions about a whole host of fires at the agency, from a Moon program on shaky ground to the richest man in the world — who happens to be in charge of NASA's biggest contractor — openly declaring war with Trump.
