Moushumi Chatterjee compares ‘spoilt brat' Rajesh Khanna to Amitabh Bachchan: ‘Kaka needed pampering'
Veteran actor Moushumi Chatterjee recently reflected on witnessing the peak of Rajesh Khanna's stardom. In an interview with Filmfare, she candidly described him as a "spoiled brat" and highlighted the stark contrast between Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan, pointing out that, unlike Rajesh, Big B never let success go to his head. Moushumi recalled witnessing Rajesh's stardom and said, "He was a spoilt brat. He was a star, he had that stardom which neither Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar nor Dev Anand had seen. Maybe for a short term, but I had witnessed it. Maintaining a mental balance is very difficult when you're such a big celebrity and you know you'll turn sand to gold when you touch it. So tantrum comes out."
Moushumi then went on to state the difference between Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan, stating that Big B managed to keep his head in control after achieving success, unlike Rajesh. "Bolte hai naa ek unpadh gunda aur padhe likhe gunda mein bohot farak hota hai. Unke gesture, behaviour, choice of words. I have never seen Amitabh with chamchas. Never seen anybody around him. But I used to see it with Rajesh. Kaka needed that attention, pampering. So, he played his life role the way he wanted. It's really sad that he just fell hard after seeing that high."
Moushumi was one of the highest-paid actors in the 70s. Her collaborations with Rajesh Khanna and Big B are still loved by audiences. She started her journey as a child actor and carved a niche for herself with memorable performances in films like Manzil, Roti Kapada Aur Makaan, and Benaam. She was most recently seen in the Bengali film Aarii, which explores the sacrifices and emotional bonds between a widowed mother and her caregiver son. Turmoil in Tollywood: Technicians boycott actor Anirban Bhattacharya's music video shoot
Prominent actor-director Anirban Bhattacharya is at the centre of a growing dispute with film technicians in Tollywood, leading to repeated disruptions in the shooting of his music videos. The Federation of Cine Technicians and Workers of Eastern India has allegedly called for 'lifelong non-cooperation' against individuals, including Bhattacharya, who have filed a case in the Calcutta High Court against the Federation. The escalating tensions came to a head on Monday, when Bhattacharya held a press conference at Yogesh Mime Academy at noon. He announced that shooting for a music video has stopped, as he has 'received' no response to his messages or calls to technicians. He said, 'The fight (I am in) for shooting may be long, and (I am) ready for this fight.' In April this year, Bhattacharya and other filmmakers had moved the Calcutta High Court to 'put a check' on the alleged interference of the Federation in the work of directors. On May 1, a large-scale meeting organised by the Federation hinted at 'tough decisions' against those involved in the High Court case against them, a discussion that reportedly became heated. On May 13, the Federation allegedly communicated a collective decision of 'non-cooperation' to the production company SVF, specifically targeting Bhattacharya. A day later on May 14, the scheduled shooting for one of his music videos was halted. Bhattacharya told mediapersons on Monday, 'I'm not the kind of person who will give up and cry in regret. I will try again. I will try so that I can execute this. So, we'll see.' He has claimed that he will formally inform the court about the entire matter and will also inform them about the next steps to be taken. Bhattacharya is acting in the film 'Raghu Dakat', and has several directorial projects lined up — but now he is worried about their release. However, he maintained: 'Bengali is my language. I have learned a lot from this industry… Whatever I know today, it's all because of Bengal. There's no question of going anywhere else.'

Megastar Chiranjeevi grabbed a lot of attention after the glimpses from his upcoming Telugu fantasy project, Vishwambhara, made rounds. The Mallidi Vassishta directorial had created strong buzz with its premise and hype. However, with the lack of new updates or confirmation of a release date, fans are curious about when the film will actually make it to the silver screen. As per a recent Filmfare report, Chiranjeevi's anticipated Telugu fantasy film Vishwambhara is said to be put on the back burner, amid the actor's already lined-up work front. However, an official update is required from the makers or the actor's team as of yet. Returning to the Anil Ravipudi film, it is tentatively titled Mega157 and has already begun filming. Chiranjeevi will share the screen space with Nayanthara in the movie, while Venkatesh Daggubati is reportedly playing a cameo role.
