Valerion VisionMaster Pro 2 finally on sale: save $600 for Prime Day

Digital Trends09-07-2025
Big-screen dreams? This is the moment you've been waiting for. Valerion's VisionMaster Pro 2, the flagship laser projector that's dominated Reddit AV threads and wowed CES attendees, is finally seeing its first-ever price drop. And it's a good one.
For Prime Day 2025, the VisionMaster Pro 2 is 20% off, bringing the price down to $2,399. That's $600 in savings on what many home theater fanatics consider the best projector in its class.
Black levels that actually matter
We've all heard the pitch before: 'deep blacks,' 'enhanced contrast.' But Valerion's Enhanced Black Level (EBL™) tech isn't just fluff. It analyzes every frame in real time, not seconds behind like cheaper systems, and adjusts gamma and laser output to preserve shadow detail while increasing perceived contrast. The result? Scenes that look dimensional, not drowned in grayscale.
Whether you're watching Dune or creeping through Alan Wake 2, the blacks are actually black, and the details stay razor sharp.
No Compromise visuals
This is where the Pro 2 earns its reputation. With 3000 ISO Lumens and a massive 110% Rec.2020 color gamut, it delivers fiery, color-accurate visuals that punch through ambient light without falling into the 'rainbow effect' trap that plagues many DLP competitors.
And if you're tired of tweaking settings out of the box, good news: it's professionally ISF-calibrated, so it looks spectacular the moment you power it on.
It's not just for movies
Gamers, this one's for you. The Pro 2 supports 1080p at 240Hz with just 4ms input log. That's eSports-level response time on a screen that stretches up to 300 inches. It even supports ultra-wide 21:9 and 32:9 formats, complete with custom crosshairs and night vision tuning.
Your OLED TV just got humbled.
Built for real living rooms
Not everyone has a theater bunker in their basement. With a throw ratio of 0.9 to 1.5 and flexible optical zoom, the VisionMaster Pro 2 can live in apartments, bedrooms, and open-concept spaces. No pixel loss, no clunky install drama.
And thanks to AI-powered upscaling, even your old Blu-rays or HD streaming content get a 4K glow-up that genuinely impresses.
Why you need it
If you're the type who's been waiting for the right moment to ditch your aging 65-inch TV and go full cinema, this is it. At $2,399, the VisionMaster Pro 2 is finally within reach.
And if your needs skew more casual or budget-conscious, Valerion's also offering major Prime Day deals across the board:
VisionMaster Pro: Same brilliant visuals, fewer frills
StreamMaster Plus 2: Smart features, seamless streaming, all-in-one simplicity
StreamMaster Plus: 4K thrills on a tighter budget
There are deals, and then there are turning points. If you want to turn your wall into a cinematic masterpiece, the VisionMaster Pro 2 at $600 off is a hard one to beat.
Prime Day doesn't last forever. Neither will this deal.

iOS 26 public beta is here — 5 settings you need to change first

Now that the iOS 26 public beta is available, more people can preview Apple's latest mobile software ahead of its final release later this fall. I've been using the iOS 26 beta ever since it was released shortly after WWDC 2025, and if you've already hit that install button for the public beta, you're in store for a big surprise. There's obviously a lot of buzz around the big makeover that Apple's implementing, but not all the new changes and additions make for a more meaningful experience. That's why I want to share the settings I think you need to change first soon after installing the iOS 26 public beta. Of course, Apple could continue to change stuff with subsequent public beta updates. But for now, you'll get more out of the experience by adjusting these settings. As much as Liquid Glass adds depth and separation with its new material design, there are instances when Liquid Glass looks messy. Case in point, when you access Control Center and how the transparency of the interface makes it look too confusing. Just take a look at the shot above! In order to make Liquid Glass more suitable, I recommend enabling the setting for reduce transparency to make Liquid Glass less transparent — and it's quite easy. Just got the general Settings menu, select Accessibility, then Display & Text Size, and finally hit the toggle for Reduce Transparency. Once it's enabled, you'll see how Liquid Glass elements around the interface will have more of an opaque appearance instead of being transparent. Whether you're for or against the new Camera Control button on the iPhone 16 series, you might notice after installing the iOS 26 public beta that its behavior has changed. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. While pressing on the button launches the camera app, the other Camera Control gestures could be disabled. I'm referring to the two-press gesture used to switch between the various modes. You'll want to restore it back to its original setting by enabling the setting for Camera Control adjustments. Simply navigate to general Settings, then proceed to Camera. From here, select Camera Control and enable the toggle for Camera Adjustments under Controls. In addition to reenabling all of the Camera Control adjustments, you can also customize the gestures and the hierarchy of the controls. Shortly after I installed the iOS 26 developers beta, I noticed my battery life taking a big hit on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. I'm not really surprised by this, seeing that battery saving optimizations are a work in progress with any beta software. However, there's one setting that will help out with exactly this. It's the new "adaptive power" mode in iOS 26 that aims to extend the battery life of your compatible iPhone. There are optimizations with this mode that helps to extend your iPhone's battery life by doing things such as lowering the screen brightness — or 'allowing some activities to take a little longer.' You can enable adaptive power mode by going into Settings, Battery, and then Power Mode. There's a toggle for adaptive power that you select to enable it. Apple changes the look of Safari with the iOS 26 public beta, namely the toolbar and tabs. The look with the default setting makes the toolbar appear as minimalist as they come, with it almost disappearing when you begin to scroll web sites. I prefer the Safari toolbar to be a bit more prominent, which is why you'll want to change the setting to change its layout. You can do this quickly by going into the Settings, then scroll down to Apps. Once there, you'll have to scroll all the way down until you see Safari (or just type Safari into the search box), and then find the section for 'tabs' halfway down the page. You have three options: compact, bottom, and top. The iOS 26 public beta defaults to compact, but I'd suggest changing it to top if you bottom to make the toolbar a bit bigger so that it's easier to see. This one may not be as pressing, but I know it's something that annoys me because when I go into my photo library, I want to see everything — including the screenshots I capture. With iOS 26, the Photos app gets another redesign, but I've noticed that screenshots aren't shown under my photo library. Instead, they're populated within the Screenshots folder under the collections tab, but I also want to see them in the main library. You can easily get them to show up by tapping on the filter icon on the top right indicated by the three horizontal lines icon, then tap on View Options, and finally press on screenshots to show there's a checkmark on it. Now, all of your screenshots will show up under the library in addition to the screenshots folder. Follow Tom's Guide on Google News to get our up-to-date news, how-tos, and reviews in your feeds. Transformers toys are my jam, and these 5 Amazon deals are more than meets the eye

Even with Prime Day behind us, there are still fantastic Transformers deals to be found! For those of us who refuse to let our childhood love of toy collecting diminish, a great selection of Autobots and Decepticons are available at reduced prices. There's a unique joy in collecting toys as an adult, especially when those toys are rooted in the cool properties of the '80s and '90s that are still popular today. Properties like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Masters of the Universe will always hold a special place for me, however, I've always particularly admired the incredible ingenuity of Transformers toys — I can only imagine how difficult it would be to design a toy that can take multiple forms. Admittedly, some of the best Transformers figures can be quite pricey, depending on their size class (Core, Deluxe, Voyager, Leader, Commander, and Titan) and the intricacy of their design. But don't worry – I've searched Amazon to find the best post-Prime Day Transformers deals still available. Here are my top 5 picks for fellow Transformers collectors. Due to the staggered release of Hasbro's new Studio Series Constructicons, finding them in the wild has proven tricky for many collectors, Thankfully, Amazon has the double pack of Long Haul & Hook available to purchase right now, and at a nice discount. Simply put, these are a must-have for those looking to build the Studio Series version of Devastator. For many TF collectors, Titan Class figures can be too expensive to consider purchasing. Thankfully, this discount on the Armada Universe Tidal Wave makes its cost easier to justify. This Titan Class figure stands at a whopping 48cm in robot mode. What's cool is that he doesn't just go from bot to battle station — he also breaks down into three separate vehicles. Plus, Tidal Wave can even combine with either Armada Universe Megatron or Galvatron. Grimlock is undoubtedly a favourite amongst Transformers fans and collectors, and while many of you probably already have a standard Grimlock in your collection, you may have overlooked this sweet G2 Universe variant that boasts an entirely different colour scheme. Well, at a sweet AU$30.99 discount, it might be time to change that. And yes, Wheelie is included. Okay, so Overcharge is very clearly just a repaint of Blitzwing with no discernible retooling, but that doesn't make him any less fun to transform! This triple-changer lets you go from bot, to jet, to tank in an intuitive manner. And with this sweet 30% discount, I think that's pretty good value. Not everyone loves 'Bayverse' designs, but those who do will get a kick out of this screen-accurate Masterpiece-edition Ratchet from Transformers: Dark of the Moon. It's got a high level of detail thanks to its authentic Takara Tomy design, along with 35 points of articulation and even some die cast parts.
