
Tirumala: Renovation work of Swamy Pushkarini from July 20 onwards
Tirumala, July 19 (UNI) The sacred Swami Pushkarini, located adjacent to the Tirumala Srivari Temple, will undergo renovation repair works from July 20 to August 19.
As per tradition, these annual renovation works are taken up in view of the upcoming Salakatla Brahmotsavams of Sri Venkateswara Swamy which is scheduled to commence from September 24 onwards.
In this context, the TTD Water Works Department has initiated steps to complete the renovation well in advance.
Hence, there will be no Pushkarini Harathi during this one-month period and the devotees will also be allowed to enter Swamy Pushkarini.
The devotees are requested to make note of this and co-operate with TTD.

TTD to hold 6-day Ashtabandhana Mahotsavam in Vijayawada from today
Vijayawada: Marking the completion of 12 years since the consecration of Lord Bala Venkateswara Swamy at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Punnama Thota, Vijayawada, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will organise a six-day Ashtabandhana Mahasamprokshana Kumbabhisheka Mahotsavam from July 26 to 31 at the temple premises. Addressing the media on Friday, temple head priest Murali Krishna, following the advice of TTD Agama pandits, announced the six-day Ashtabandhana Mahotsavam. This customary ritual is performed every 12 years in TTD temples, during which priests undertake repair works inside the temple's sanctum sanctorum and on idols, if required. Murali Krishna said the Mahotsavam will be held on a grand scale amidst spiritual fervour, under the supervision of priests from TTD Tirumala. It will begin with Vastu Shanti and Akalmasha Homam, performed from 8:30 am to 10:30 am on July 26, followed by Ankurarpanam from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm the same day. The priest further informed that darshan of the presiding deity, Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy, will be suspended during the event, as the idols will be temporarily moved from the sanctum sanctorum to the Homa Gundam in Yagashala. CUJ opens PG admission for vacant seats from July 25
Ranchi, July 25 (UNI) The Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) has opened admissions for vacant postgraduate seats for the 2025-26 session. The registration window is active from July 25 to 31. Admission Cell Chairperson Prof. G.P. Singh said 63% seats were filled in the first round. Now, a second phase has been launched for 11 programmes, including (Geoinformatics, Statistics, Geology, Chemistry), M.A. (English, Public Administration, Political Science, Tibetan), M.P.A. Late IRS officer leaves assets worth Rs 3.66 crore to Tirupati temple trust: ‘He had deep faith and devotion'
Property and money worth Rs 3.66 crore, which belonged to the late YVSS Bhaskar Rao, who retired as an IRS officer, were donated to the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Tirumala on Thursday. Rao's family said it was his wish that the property and fixed deposits be given to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which manages the temple. 'He had deep faith and devotion towards Sri Venkateswara Swamy. He bequeathed a residential property worth Rs 3 crore and a cash donation of Rs 66 lakh to TTD through his will,' officials said. The donated property is a 3,500-square-foot building named 'Ananda Nilayam', located in Vanasthalipuram on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Rao had said in his will that the TTD should use it for the purposes of conducting spiritual activities. The cash donation of Rs 66 lakh from his bank accounts is to be distributed among various TTD trusts, including Rs 36 lakh to Sri Venkateswara Annaprasadam Trust, and Rs 6 lakh each to the Sri Venkateswara Sarva Sreyas Trust, Veda Parirakshana Trust, Go Samrakshana Trust, Vidyadana Trust, and SRIVANI Trust. Fulfilling his last wish, trustees M Devaraj Reddy, V Satyanarayana, and B Lokanath handed over the property documents and cheques related to different trust donations to TTD Additional EO, C Venkaiah Chowdary, on Thursday at Ranganayakula Mandapam. Later, the Additional EO felicitated the trustees and lauded their efforts in fulfilling the wishes of Bhaskar Rao.
