Alpha IVF Reported RM57 Million PATMI For FY25, Looks Set For Philippine Expansion

Alpha IVF Group Berhad achieved its highest-ever profit after tax and minority interests (PATMI) of RM57.5 million in the financial year ended 31 May 2025 (FY2025), a 8.5% increase from RM52.9 million in the previous year. The strong bottom-line performance was supported by revenue growth of 5.5% to RM176.8 million in FY2025 from RM167.6 million in the previous year, led by the Group's Malaysia operations, particularly the foreign patient segment. Malaysia operations contributed RM157.2 million, or 88.9% of the Group's total revenue in FY2025, a 16.0% increase from RM135.5 million in the previous year, or 80.9% of the Group's total revenue. The Group's Singapore operations contributed the remaining RM19.6 million. For Malaysia operations, local demand remained stable, while foreign patient revenue regained momentum this quarter, with all key markets, including China, Indonesia, and Singapore, recording an upward trend. The contribution of foreign patients to Malaysia's operations saw significant growth in FY2025, rising to RM110.1 million or 70.0% of total revenue, from RM81.8 million or 60.4% in FY2024. In the fourth quarter ended 31 May 2025 (4Q25), the Group's revenue rose 7.0% year-on-year to RM50.0 million from RM46.7 million previously, while PATMI saw a 14.7% increase to RM16.1 million from RM14.0 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The Group declared a second interim dividend of 0.50 sen per share in respect of FY2025, payable on 29 August 2025. Together with the first interim dividend of 0.50 sen per share paid on 31 December 2024, the total dividends for FY2025 amount to 1.00 sen per share, representing a payout of RM48.6 million or 84.6% of PATMI. This is well above the Group's commitment to distribute at least 60% of its annual PATMI for shareholders. The medical outfit announced that it is establishing a new, full-fledged fertility treatment centre in Tuguegarao, Philippines, marking the Group's second planned facility in the country. The group said the centre will provide minimally invasive surgery in Gynaecology, which is expected to contribute significantly to the centre's revenue. Related

Eco-Shop reports 17% surge in core net profit for FY2025

KUALA LUMPUR: Eco-Shop Marketing Berhad, a player in Malaysia's dollar store retail sector, has released its fourth quarter financial results for the three months ended 31 May 2025 (4Q FY2025) today. On a full-year basis for the twelve months ended May 31, 2025 (FY2025), the Group achieved new record highs for both revenue and profit after tax (PAT). Revenue increased by 16% to RM2.8 billion, underpinned by the net addition of 74 new stores during the financial year. Despite higher operating costs arising from our expanded store network and the implementation of minimum wage policies, core PAT (adjusted for one-off IPO expenses of RM9.4 million) grew in line with revenue, rising 17% to RM213.7 million compared to the previous financial year. In 4Q FY2024, the Group recorded revenue of RM689.0 million, representing an 8% increase from RM640.7 million in the same quarter last year. Core PAT for the quarter stood at RM57.0 million, compared to RM63.4 million in the previous year's corresponding quarter. Together with this set of results, the Company declared an interim single-tier dividend of 1.0 sen per ordinary share or approximately RM57.5 million in respect of the financial year ending May 31, 2025, to be paid on August 26, 2025. The entitlement date for the dividend falls on August 12, 2025. CEO Jessica Ng said the company remains optimistic about its outlook despite ongoing macroeconomic uncertainties. 'Our confidence is underpinned by the continued expansion of our store network and rising consumer demand for value‑driven retail,' she said. Ng noted that Malaysia's value retail segment is still 'significantly underpenetrated' compared to mature markets like Japan, Canada and the United States, presenting strong long‑term growth potential. 'As consumer preferences shift toward affordability and convenience, Eco-Shop is well‑positioned to scale further and increase its relevance nationwide,' she added. On challenges, Ng acknowledged rising cost pressures from higher electricity tariffs, the expanded Sales and Services Tax and EPF contributions for foreign workers. 'We are strengthening our resilience through supply chain efficiencies, strategic pricing, product enhancements and close collaboration with suppliers,' she said. She also addressed softer same-store sales growth following the mid‑April price adjustment. 'Consumers are taking time to adapt to the new pricing. In the meantime, we are rolling out targeted marketing campaigns to boost footfall,' she said. Despite the temporary dip, Ng said margins and performance are expected to remain healthy. 'Our store network expansion continues to be a key long‑term strategy for deeper market penetration. We remain focused on delivering strong, sustainable financial performance over the long term,' she said.

PGF Capital kicks off new financial year with 11.9% y-o-y growth in net profit to RM7.5m for 1QFY26

PENANG: Main Market-listed insulation producer in Southeast Asia, PGF Capital Berhad, began the new financial year with a revenue of RM40.6 million in its first quarter (1QFY26) results for the financial year ended Feb 28, 2026 (FY26) compared to RM40.5 million in 1QFY25. While revenue improved moderately, profit after tax rose 11.9% year-on-year (YoY) to RM7.5 million from RM6.7 million over the same quarter last year. The improvement in bottom line performance was largely attributable to thesustained demand of the Insulation and Related Products (Insulation segment) from the Oceania market and the Group's emphasis on cost efficiency, which contributed to lower operating expenses. This was partially offset by a mark-to-market unrealised loss of RM0.6 million on a cross-currency swap facilities (MTM Unrealised Loss) in the current quarter. In 1QFY26, the Group in a statement today said revenue composition remained consistent, with the Insulation segment accounting for 99.7% of the total revenue. The remaining contribution came from property development, investment holding, and other segments. 'We are pleased to begin the new financial year with a solid set of performance, led by thecontinued strength of our Insulation segment,' said executive director and Group CEO Fong Wern Sheng. 'We continue to observe healthy demand in the Oceania market, particularly in Australia, supported by clear policy direction, including updated building codes and the national target of delivering 1.2 million new homes by 2029. The recently announced Victorian Energy Upgrades programme, which offers 50% costreductions for ceiling insulation, adds further optimism as we look toward 2026.' While the Group achieved YoY growth, he added, performance for the quarter was partially impacted by the recent gas pipeline incident in Putra Heights, Selangor, which temporarily disrupted their production activities and export sales. Separately, he said, their new mineral wool sandwich panels have been certified by Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia and are now pending approval from the Fire Department of Malaysia. 'The Group's capacity expansion is progressing as planned, with the construction of its new 40,000 metric-tonne plant (New Plant) in Kulim East Industrial Park, Kedah, proceeding on schedule. Commercial operations are targeted to begin in the first half of 2026. In support of this investment, the project has received approval for the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER) Tax Incentive Package, granting a five plus five years corporate tax holiday. This incentive is expected to enhance the Group's financial performance in the coming years,' said Fong. Meanwhile, on the topic of reciprocal tariffs by the United States (US), Fong expressed that PGF Capital does not anticipate significant impact on its revenue or purchases, given that export activities are predominantly concentrated in the Oceania region, which contributes over 70.0% of total export volume, with another 20.0% coming from domestic sales. The Group has no direct export activities to the US. As for the property development segment, PGF Capital's efforts to activate its landbank in Tanjong Malim, Perak, have taken a step forward with the receipt of conditional Planning Approval (Kebenaran Merancang) for the Phase 1 development. The project, undertaken via a land sale arrangement with Malvest Properties Sdn Bhd (Malvest) will consist of 1,808 residential and commercial units. It forms part of the broader initiative to support the government's vision of transforming Proton City into an Automotive High-Tech Valley. The Group is currently addressing the infrastructure conditions imposed to facilitate the commencement of the project. PGF Capital maintained a solid financial position in the first quarter of 2026, with a net gearing ratio of 0.15 times and net assets per share of RM1.39. The Group also generated a healthy net operating cash flow of RM3.4 million during the quarter, reflecting continued strength in its core operations.
